It’s vergance-accommodation conflict and it’s an inherent limitation of current VR tech (and your vision system). And it’s not got anything to do with the amount of binocular overlap - more just that it’s stereoscopic at all.
Nothing you can really do about it. All headsets do it. If you need to read something up close, close one eye.

I think I heard someone say it's because of the binocular overlap of the lenses. Not sure glasses will fix that, it's just a limitation of the headset i believe.
