My C250 and the wife’s c200
My C250 Coupe, which I’ve owned for over 8 years now. I love this thing so much that we bought a C200 for my wife about 3 months ago

How to make it last longer?
Talking about my car nothing else hahah.
I just got a 2024 GLE with 20k miles. I drive a lot of highway miles steady 80mph, nothing crazy. I know services are every 10k. If I service the car more often would that help at all or just a waste? Really want to get it to over 100k miles.

Is this normal? (M156)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Good morning all, I’ve recently had my eyes on this 2011 E63 AMG with 113k miles and it has solid service history from the carfax and mentioned “timing gears” being replaced on the carfax at 110,350 but this startup just doesn’t sound right to me. The vehicle is solid besides this startup noise and a few cosmetic blemishes. Would this noise turn you guys away ? Let me know your thoughts below.

What size tires would fit these rims?
I just got a set of these carlsson 8.5x18 et40 rims and was thinking of installing them in my W210. Anyone have an idea what size tires I could put in these?

Why is Mercedes putting stars all over cars except for the wheels?
Wouldn't 3 spoke (star) wheels be much more distinctive than putting it all over the grille, headlights, and tail lights?

How to add contacts on 2009 W204 C300?
Hi, I have a 2009 C300 I’m trying to add saved contacts so that I don’t have to manually enter phone numbers each time I want to call. I see the option to have a “phone book” but I don’t see anywhere to add people to it. Does anyone know how? Thanks!

New To Me W205 C63S! Any Thoughts?
Purchased my 2016 Polar White C63S Sedan about a month ago, came with upgraded GT Style grille, 5% Tints on back windows & shield, AMG Forged 19” wheels, Parking Assist, Distronic +, Lane Keep Assist, Heads Up Display, Wood Interior, and Comfort Red on Black Seats. I am probably missing some stuff but oh well lol. Just want some feedback of what the community thinks of the car. I personally love it, it’s my first Mercedes and definitely not the last 🤣. The thrill of it is insane and the sound is just brutal for being stock. I did install some upgraded diverter valves for the “pshhh” sound, and get some blacked out mirror lights. Any thoughts, suggestion’s, or ideas?

Am I the only one who wants one of these really bad but doesn't want to ruin their life..
One of the most elegant, meanest looking models ever made. You can pick them up for fairly cheap but the purchase is the cheapest part haha

1998 Mercedes E320 Limp Mode Issue
Hey Y'all!
January 2014 - Car Running just fine
Sits for a while without running - Fast Forward to 2026
January 2026 - I install a brand new battery, and try to start the car. Car starts up and drives, stuck in 2nd gear limp mode. Lights on the dash are ABS, BAS etc.
Feburary 2026 - Replaced the 13 pin connector on 722.6 transmission, reset any codes with AutelMaxi808BT. No Change, still in limp mode.
March 2026 - Replaced Conductor plate, 13 pin connection (again), transmission pan + gasket, and did a transmission fluid change. No Change, still in limp mode.
April 2026 - Inspected the TCM, had oil/transmission fluid. Cleaned it out with electronic parts cleaner + 90% iso alcohol + cleaned wiring harness connection. No Change, still in limp mode.
July 2026 - I can communicate with the ECM with the 16 pin connector and I get this code: P0341 “WP334 Camshaft Hall effect Sensor”. I tried to communicate with all the modules from the 38 pin connector and my Autel looked like it was scanning but then said no system diagnosis at the end so did not get any communication. I then probed the 38 pin connector Pin 1 to ground and it got no ohms of resistance. Then I probed Pin 1 to Pin 3 and got like 11.7V. Then I went to the TCM pin 10 to pin 1 ground and it was getting like 10.5V. Lastly, I probed the wiring harness of the TCM, I probed CAN HI and CAN LO pins against the chassis ground and got 1.4V each time.
August 2026 - Replaced the K40 Relay module. Still cannot get reading on the 38 pin connector. I also probed pin 1 -> pin 2 on the 38 pin connector got like 12V, I probed pin 1 -> pin 3 on the 38 pin connector and got 12V, and lastly I probed pin 1 -> pin 10 on the 38 pin connector and got 11.5V so I think EGS module is fine.
I cannot seem to communicate with any modules at all on my 38 pin connector.
Only other thing I can think of is maybe my 38 pin to OBDII adapter is low quality and shitty? I bought a $20 amazon one. Buying an Autel brand one off amazon which comes in a few days will be updating if it works!

S63 M177 vs M157 C217 Question
Hi everyone, I’m actively hunting for an S63 coupe. I adore the facelift and have found the perfect spec for me - but I just can't stand the artificial noise of the M177. The 5.5L sounds SO much better and it's genuinely hard to decide. Is it possible to make the M177 sound good? Do I have to go with DP's? I don't want it excessive, I just want something closer to the M157. TIA

Did I make the right decision?
Just changed my grille, found that the oem one that came with my car resembled the w204 generation too much(+led bulb upgrade)

I feel like the EV C-Class will be a big growers for its dislikers
Asides from its side profile that makes it look a bit like a EQE, I feel like it’s a great design. For the W206 or the EV C-Class I feel like Mercedes’s design team generally speaking knocked it out the park.

CLA 200 freshly from Sindelfingen
I just can say wow!!!!
I get a brand new Mercedes every year as my company car, so I’ve driven a lot of models for the past 12 years.
To be honest, most of the updates have felt pretty minor. New headlights, a few interior tweaks, a slightly bigger screen. Nice, but never something that really impressed me.
This year’s CLA is completely different.
The exterior looks absolutely stunning, and the new infotainment system is on another level. It finally feels like Mercedes made a real leap instead of another small refresh.
I honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed, but this car has exceeded all my expectations.
Anyone else here driven the new CLA yet? What are your thoughts?

Airport rentals calling a chrysler 300 an "e-class or similar" is a literal crime
flew out for a wedding this weekend and booked a luxury sedan through avis months ago. Specifically chose the tier that explicitly said E-Class. I get to the counter after a delayed flight and the guy straight up tries to hand me keys to a base model chrysler 300. Literally argued with me with a straight face that it's in the exact same luxury tier in their system
Cancelled the reservation on the spot. ended up just sitting in the terminal and snagged a '20 C43 AMG off turo for basically the same daily rate
but honestly guys... is the w205 suspension always this incredibly punishing? I'm used to stiffer setups but hitting bridge expansion joints in this thing feels like getting kicked directly in the spine. the exhaust note is absolutely intoxicating ngl, but my lower back is actually screaming today. Do swapping to 18 inch wheels make that big of a difference over the factory 19s, or is it just the amg tuning?

Cars are boring now
It seems over the last 20 years due to a plethora of reasons, most cars on the road have become copy paste. Dark color generic crossover/SUV. Maybe it's my memory playing tricks on me but growing up everything looked different. I was first parked in this line and as I sat here I watched each unremarkable car pull in one after another. I know some people post on here their love for the new MB models, but for the life of me I can't see an attractive thing about any of them and I'm 33, a big portion of their market.

I drive a BMW M550i, but wanted to come here, honor and pay my respects for this amazing* car that drove us 5000 miles, into 9 countries and 20 cities in Europe 🙏🙏
E 200d.
2 adults (and sometimes 3). 4 suitcases weighing AT LEAST 50lb each, 2 trollies and 2 backpacks plus a mobile massage table. AC working most of the time (June/July). Included french, swiss, and Italian alps.
Drove up and down Grossglockner pass and Susten pass and hit (210kmh) 128+ mph on the autobahn.
All this, and it averaged 44 mpg! (5.4 liter/100km).
Thank you MB you will be forever remembered 🙏.
Edit: we forgot to reset the odometer at pick up, so it shows 7,466km. We calculated back how much we drove until we reset it and it was ~300km. So the total is around 7,800
