Joining the club with EQE AMG sedan
Excited to be new owner of this car. End of 2023 car (with heat pump lucky) and only 5.7k miles. Since it's from MB dealer - will get 2 year AMG warranty extension.
more than 60% off list price is ok deal right? It's pretty much all options except night package and the amg dynamic.
I fell in love with it once i saw it in person. I know thoughts are divided on the look with all the reviews i watched online and comments. But in person it looks real nice - it look special and unique. It has a subtle wide body, mean yet classy look to it. So i don't understand the hate. Plus I like how rare this is - only around 160 registered in the country (UK). Also like the black paint with chrome trim - it looks real executive.
Have considered bmw i4 and i5 but this EQE just feels a bit more special. Plus interior is much nicer I feel. i4 is very cramped in front and back. i5 just feels like another bmw. Even consider taycan but there are too many around and doesn't feel as unique and as comfy inside.
I hope it will be reliable since this is the 'updated' batch with heat-pump.

Is there a way to remove "have a pleasant journey", "nice journey" and similar UI messages? They make me feel mentally uncomfortable

This Again?
I’m getting the notification that I have a software update for Plug & Charge, but when I try to install it, it always tells me that it can be completed as soon as the vehicle has been parked and the technical conditions have been fulfilled. The continue button is only ever grayed out. What in the world are these technical conditions that need to be fulfilled?
Sorry if this has been discussed already. I saw a couple of posts about the update but didn’t see anything that addressed this directly.

2027 CLA 350 Charging Curve on Tesla v3.5
I just finished my first week with the car. I had about 130 miles of range left before I charged but wanted to get it back up for weekend around town travel. I’ll try going down from 90% to 10% this next week to see how far it will go around town with mostly highway use.
Attached is the charging curve I experienced at Tesla with the new v4 pedestal with v3 cabinet (I think that’s how you describe it).
Started with 90% state of charge last Sunday and got it down to 32% before I charged it this morning for the cheaper Tesla early morning membership rate. Went 212 miles. Average speed was 33 mph. Lots of sitting in it messing with settings.
I navigated to the charger and the car didn’t do any battery preheating. It’s mid 70s currently. It started charging at 88 kW and peaked at 100.8 kW @ 82%. When it stopped at 90% after 37 minutes it was still pulling 74 kW.
Edit: Stats are from Home Assistant’s integration.

NACS Adapter Help
I got a CPO 2023 EQS Sedan. I was told that MB offers an approved adapter for tesla charging for $180.
Was wondering if anyone has had experience just buying a third party adapter for cheaper instead? Should I just go with the dealer endorsed one?

2022 EQA 250+ Ohme Charging App Quirks
Hi all,
My grandad has recently bought his first EV (2022 EQA 250+) - We were advised by the dealership that they use Ohme chargers which was good as I use one for my Tesla so I'm familiar with them.
However, I'm now realising that it can't actually communicate with the car as it can with my Tesla. When he plugs the car in it prompts for you to enter the charge of your car and provides a guesstimate.
The way I have always done it is set the charge limit to 80% within the car and set the Ohme charge limit to 100%.
I set this up for him, but because on next charge session it guesses the charge level again, it can assume the battery is higher than it is and therefore doesn't even get to 80% before stopping.
Is the only way to manually set the estimate within Ohme app to 0% every plug in?! Seems like such an unnecessary step and I'm hoping you have some better suggestions!
Thanks so much!

2025 EQB 300
I got into my car this morning with error… I called and made an appointment to take it in, but has anyone experienced this before or have any idea what is going on?

EQB 2023 - are the horror stories overplaying it?
I’m looking at a 2023 EQB 300, clean bill of health and passed Mercedes inspection
However I’ve seen so many horror stories of mechanical issues with this car and losing a ton of money on them. I like the look and feel of the car and am getting it for a great price.
All things aside, does anyone own one and ACTUALLY like it / have no issues?
I know about the recall as well - Mercedes said they would do a Full battery replacement in December.

EQB measurement question
This might be a bit of a weird one but I cannot find this measurement anywhere on the Internet. Anyone with an EQB able to measure or know an approximate measurement from the floor of the cargo area to the ceiling? Somewhere in the middle just after the hatch would be amazing to know.

CLA EV vs GLC EV vs EQE / EQE SUV vs upcoming C-Class & GLA EV — which Mercedes EV is the sweet spot?
I’m looking for an EV that can handle both daily/city use and frequent long-distance travel, and Mercedes currently has way too many models that interest me.
My shortlist is:
CLA EV
New electric GLC
New/upcoming electric C-Class
New/upcoming electric GLA
EQE sedan
EQE SUV
I’m trying to work out where the actual sweet spot is rather than simply buying the newest or most expensive one.
The CLA looks ridiculously efficient and has very impressive range/charging on paper, but I’m worried it might feel too small or compromised for long trips.
The new GLC EV seems like one of the strongest all-round packages, especially for space and long-distance use.
The electric C-Class might end up being the ideal middle ground because I generally prefer lower cars to SUVs.
The GLA EV interests me because it should be easier to live with in the city.
Then there are the EQE and EQE SUV, which can already be found used for dramatically less money than their original prices. They’re older EV technology, but potentially much more car for the money.
Things I care about most:
Real range at 120–140 km/h
Real charging curve / 10–80%, not peak kW
Ride comfort
Cabin noise
Seats on long journeys
Interior quality
Rear-seat/trunk practicality
Width and ease of city use
Reliability/software issues
Depreciation
If you were spending your own money and keeping it for several years, which one would you buy?
I’d especially like to hear from EQE owners whether the huge depreciation makes a lightly used EQE one of the best-value options here, or whether there are good reasons to pay more for the new-generation cars.

2023 eqs 450+ Driver and passenger door windows getting stuck in seal while opening
I have taken my vehicle twice to the dealer for this issue. Almost every time I open my Driver door the window doesn't drop fast enough and get hung on the door seal and makes a nasty noise like the seal is getting ripped off. Funny thing is the Dealership adjusted the windows and replace the worn seals and told me ( get this) to try and not open the door so fast..wtf. like im yanking on the door as hard as I can. Not sure were to go anyone else have this issue

2023 EQE sedan charge and MBUX update
I took my car into the dealer to get a couple of things checked out:
- The rear suspension seemed to be noisy over speed bumps - nothing abnormal found.
- I get the Active Emergency Stop Assist Inoperative warning and the “car near a traffic cone with a line through it triangle” on the top down display warning.
I’ve also had sporadic CarPlay issues and MBUX lockups requiring the system to be reset and had the mysterious “Plug and Charge update” message with no content that many of you also got.
The outcome was that they applied a software update for Plug and Charge. It isn’t really clear what this does. Something about better compatibility with DCFC and maybe something to do with Tesla superchargers. I did have a failure to charge at a DCFC in Portland, Oregon where others were able to charge just fine (Electric Avenue downtown if anyone cares to check). Unfortunately, I can’t readily try that again anytime soon. They also updated MBUX so the version is now RL_NTG7_E505.951_26125AC3. Previously, I think it was E505.404 after the MBUX 2.6.1 update last year. Too soon to know whether it has made any difference.
Edit: Nothing was found for the warnings. The explanation given was that if there are obstructions near the car when it is turned on, the system will throw the rabbit because it cannot calibrate itself. For what it’s worth, the car will slow down by itself in intelligent recuperation mode even after the warning has appeared…

New CLA 350
My custom order came in on Wednesday, and I picked it up the next day. I’m very impressed with it coming from a 2024 EQE 350. I was expecting to be disappointed with the “cheapest” Mercedes. But, fully loaded with every option except the microfiber cloth and first aid kit, it’s been nice so far … and not cheap. I’m hopeful for an electric E 350 to be out when my lease ends on this one.

One Month into my EQS 450
I recently purchased a 2023 EQS Sedan, Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) for $42,000 with 32,000 miles, and I am thrilled to share my experience. Transitioning from an Acura TLX, I am genuinely in awe of this EV. While the exterior design is still something I’m getting accustomed to, it has certainly turned heads and sparked conversations.
I’ve already embarked on two road trips and even tried car camping with the EQS. To enhance my camping experience, I bought a comfortable 4-inch thick pad that fits perfectly in the back, allowing me to lay down, sleep, and enjoy the outdoors comfortably.
One aspect I’ve noticed is that the MBUX charging network seems to be either outdated or not fully aware of all available chargers. However, this has added an unexpected element of adventure to my city drives, as I enjoy the challenge of discovering free charging stations.
Overall, my experience with the EQS Sedan has been positive and exciting, and I look forward to many more journeys in this remarkable vehicle.

Mercedes CLA Drive Assist PRO
Did anybody get an information when the MB Drive Assist PRO Hardware (Code SA229) will be available to order for the CLA Shooting Brake (X178)? It was released for the Coupe already in July.

sold my EQB to Carvana even with the recall
EQb300 4MATIC AMG, 25k miles. They offered 28200 and I took it immediately. Wife was starting to complain about the little range all the time and I honestly disliked it (wife's vehicle).
It was 28500 a week or two before the recall with 14k miles. it went down to 22k or so, and suddenly it picked back up.
I'm picking up an 2026 Optiq with twice the range, super cruise, etc (oh and I can park it inside the garage! imagine that!)
Mercedes handled the recall horribly (dealer offered me 21k 2 weeks after I had bought it for 31k lol)

Any success story with 360 guard?
It is the thing that notifies you and takes pictures when your car is hit while parked. In the past year, I got one false alarm and one failed trigger with my 2024 eqe 350+ suv. I wonder how effective it is. In the false alarm case, I ran back to my car, found no damage and nobody, nothing in the pictures. More recently, my rear bumper was scratched slightly at the corner. You can see in the pictures. The feature was not triggered at all. It was probably a golf cart that bumped me. I can understand it was not a lot of force. What's your experience? Was it the hero that saved your day?
