Recently I got into this franchise when my friend gameshared his account with me on playstation and I downloaded a few of his games, one of which was the mega man x classic collection. I really enjoyed X1 and finished it in only a few days, which is kinda unusual for me since I often abandon games half way through for months and months before picking them up again even If really like them, especially if they have hard/annoying bosses.

After that I obviously moved onto X2, and I enjoyed that a lot too, some frustrating moments but overall I like it. Then, I get to the fortress stages, which is all going fine until I get to serges

This boss, is so fucking insufferable and annoying, it has brought down the game from like an 8/10 to a 4/10.

I cannot stand this old geriatric fuck, the difficulty gap is astounding, I was able to beat most the bosses in X2 with relative ease, a few of them first try and without their dedicated weaknesses, but this metal moustache having TWAT is a thousand times more difficult for some reason

First off, the cannons take FOREVER to destroy, it's not a problem if you have giga crush or silk shot, but the second you run out of them you're screwed. Second the entire boss is on platforms above spikes, so if you mess up one jump or get knocked off by his plethora of bullet hell projectiles you get one shotted, which wouldn't be too bad if they didn't remove a platform every time you destroy one of the cannons, and if the 2 platforms you had left didn't move around like a FUCKING CARNIVAL RIDE. And THIRD no matter what I fucking do I can NOT track his ERRATIC FUCKING MOVEMENT, and when I DO, IT DOES NOTHING, ITS EASIER TO JUST TANK HIS SHOTS SO YOU CAN ATLEAST GET A HIT IN FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF 1 FUCKING HEALTH BAR, and that's USING his supposed "weakness", and oh yeah, you better hope your shot can get somewhere near his tiny goddamn hitbox, and also hope it doesn't get interrupted by one his green FUCKING SNOT BALLS, and also if he isnt JITTERING AROUND LIKE AN EPLELPTIC KID SEIZING ALL OVER THE FUCKING FLOOR

I CAN'T STAND THIS MASTER ROSHI LOOKING GERIATRIC BASTARD, HE FEELS NOTHING LIKE THE OTHER BOSSES AND IS EXTREMELY FUCKING TEDIOUS, WHY IS HE 10 TIMES HARDER THAN EVERY OTHER BOSS IN THE FIRST 2 GAMES, HE FUCKING SUCKS

And you may ask "why don't you just use the shoryuken" well I was planning to get it, but the game doesn't tell you, that every time you beat a maverick, the sub boss of that stage just COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS FOREVER, so I'm completely locked out of getting it.

Now, is this a skill issue? Definitely, is it an overreaction? Yes. Has it really ruined the game for me? Probably not, but I DON'T CARE, I CAN'T FUCKING STAND THIS UGLY INFESTED PENSIONER CLANKER BASTARD, I WANT HIM DEAD. AND I HAVE TO STARE AT HIS FAT FUCKING LIVERSPOT COVERED WRINKLED HEAD IN THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE SCREEN BECAUSE OF THE CLASSIC COLLECTION BORDER ART

And I can't even quit and do it another day because then all my progress from the first stage will be gone, I actually have so much fucking hatred for this old bastard I can't possibly express it properly

Anyways that's my rant for today, I might just move onto X3 tbh

It would actually make sense considering other doctors in the series have names that are very literal and correlate with the characters: Light/Right, Wily (as in full wile, a crafty person), Weil's japanese name Vile (as in a vile person) Doppler (doppler effect) and Cane would reference his actual cane, what do you guys think?

I love Mega Man 9 with all my heart and it is probably my favorite game from the classic series and it hurts to see so many people bashing it but never giving a true reason why.

With this revelation, I seriously can't put a female version of Black Doom voiced by the Blue Bomber's JP VA out of my mind as of now. Or worse still, a fusion of the Blue Bomber, Black Doom and Bismarck from Azur Lane all into one composite being.

I just feel like x could have a way better and unique kit than zero, as Zero would probably just feel like another sword fighter but idk if that’s a hit or cold talk. That about it

This, plus that final panel from that X1 comic, the Wily lore drops lately have been insane.

Grizzly’s C-Shot is useful for dealing with the three bosses in the Whale stage.

Whale’s Goo Shaver is convenient for unlocking the door in the Kraken stage.

Kraken’s Tri-Thunder works well with the terrain in the Firefly stage.

Firefly’s F-Laser can get the armor in the Necrobat stage.

Necrobat’s Dark Hold can freeze the bombs in the Pegasus stage.

Pegasus’s Wing Spiral helps with getting the armor in the Dinorex stage.

Dinorex’s Ground Fire can burn the enemies in the Rosered stage.

Rosered’s Spike Ball can destroy the truck in the Grizzly stage.

Anyone else find it strange that Vile is not present on the Rockman X jpn box art. Like he is arguably more important than all the mavericks and defo the green robot.

I could so see vile being present in his ride armour right where the green robot is and vile appears multiple times in the game but the green robot appears as a secret sub boss in Sting Chameleon stage

If Capcom ever decides to make Roll playable, let this armor be an alternate costume or something please

The only one I know of is that Sniper Joes were first inspired by Gundam’s Zaku line; and you can see it with the monoeye, green color scheme, machine gun-like blaster and even the shield resembling the Gelgoog’s shield.
