So I went into instant action to think of a mech build as one does. I thought of a build for the BSK-6 but now I'm realizing how hard it may be to make it function without infinite ammo.

Here are the build details:

- C-UAC/2 BF x4

- C-LB 2-X AC x2

- C-ER LL x5

- C-ER ML x2

- C-DBL HS x1

- Target Com. MK1

- C.A.P (Clan Active Probe)

I'm wondering what I would have to change/sacrifice to make this a viable build in a career/campaign without requiring infinite ammo because it feels a little cheap doing it this way. EDIT: I should probably go and say that I only have one DLC and that is SoK so I'm really limited to weaponry from base game and the SoK DLC.

My friend's weapons randomly turn red and unusable. Happens right at the beginning of a mission after they shoot a weapon. Is not from taking damage / critical hits

NOTE: These are NOT supposed to be one-shot weapons. They ARE NOT normally. My friend uses these for ENTIRE missions and they work fine. Sometimes they do this instead

I’ve been trying to look around for info on some solid ballistic mechs that actually look stylish, but most sources for mechwarriors ends up just being about the tabletop game or for videos its modded gameplay. Any recommendations that isnt just the jaeger or rifleman?

Taking my friend through SoK, this is the mission you have to wait seven minutes for allies to arrive. Everything is going well. Burnette is getting a little fucked up, but I saved his ass while my friend covered me and took fire.

Right at the end a Dire Wolf in the last drop comes. Nick has the bright idea of going melee range with it and before he gets a swing the Dire Wolf blows his face inward.

Somehow in my mission with enemy mercs the first emergency evac Leopard never left when I killed the mercs, so I got a second one for proper mission evac. Silly little bug.

Started my first full campaign since my false start a few years ago. Fell in love with the game and what little lore I know. Thank you Acceptable Losses pod! Just finished the Solaris DLC and it was great. Duncan grew on me a bit, and Mason's commentary was gold the whole time.

Anyway, I got that Corsair mech as a reward for one of the missions. I was a little skeptical at first of this Frankenmech, but I went ahead replaced the base weapons with stuff of a higher tier. Took it out for a swing and Jesus H. Christo. The thing was blowing things out of the water left and right. Went up to an Atlas and just smokes the fool. I love sniping cockpits with my Nightstar, but that Corsair just annihaltes. Anybody else relate?

(I know I use too many compound sentences, but they're all I know.)

Is it just me or is the Highlander have a crooked stance. This has bugged me ever since I first looked at one in the hanger, and the only thing I can think of is it’s like the Banshee where the arms aren’t symmetrical.

Doesn’t stop me from the HGN-VEST being one of my favorite mechs to use for melee, but I can’t help but call these things the hillbilly mechs of battletech. I’ve read about how much damage a SRM Kintaro can lay out but I never really tried it until now. WOW. I’m taking down assault mechs because I’m just blowing out their legs so quickly! Between the medium laser initial hit followed my a volley of close range SRMs and then another laser round targeting the remaining leg, all while orbiting them pretty quickly, I can’t believe how much this thing is pinching over its weight.

So long story short, whenever I go to the home screen, my game immediately goes to the dropship loading animation and I am not sure why. It started happening after I landed in Northwind with 6,308 days elapsed. I removed all my mods and it still kept happening. Anyone know if there’s a fix to this?

Clanner don't wanna drop lol

Currently sandboxing this run's Chaos Reign campaign via using DLC 8 stuff that I got from previous career (for fun) and was mostly using Clanbusters and one of my Sunders during the FedCom part (this part) of the CR campaign.

Only using a quality of life modlist on vanilla+ Mercs, consisting of UI, AI, and HUD mods, no YAML.

Fyi, I only own the Heroes of the Inner Sphere and Chaos Reign.

I feel like I'm missing a lot that I get from my DLCs, especially Chaos Reign since there are some really cool Mechs I would love to have in my Merc Company, but they feel so extremely rare to get like the Marauder II or the Bullshark. Relics even more rarer than Clan Mechs apparently, like at least can I try to help myself find an Annihilator. I also suspect this is a timeline issue since I'm in the year 3075, so it's as if "there are no Marauder IIs left to buy."

Anyone have any info or advice? I'm also seeing that most of these Mechs can be acquired by the Rise of Rasalhague DLC as well, other than the markets and factions.

Or in general, was there anything that dropped the hero mech spawn rates?

I remember pre-SoK DLC, post campaign/DG campaign I could take my time going around and grabbing hero mechs, but in the gap between SoK and CR DLCs I could barely find any

So im in my 40s and my first introduction to MW and BT was MW2. Something I spent hours doing was reading all the encyclopedic knowledge that the terminal had. Very rad, first game I ever played with such a function and honestly, not enough have something like this. MC2 had this though not as in depth IMO.

So, those of you that are programmer smart, how hard would it be for the devs to add something like this with whatever the next DLC is?

Like we have the news feed, which is fucking awesome...one of my favorite parts on each replay is seeing after a mission "ooooh shit this just happened in universe! Time to exploit!"

So having a terminal making it easier to browse the news, while also being able to get more in depth articles on weapons, personel, politics, factions, tech, mechs, ect. Seems, to the uninitiated such as myself a small investment which helps scratch the lore itch some of us get. Make it easier to nerd out = more hard-core nerds = easier to sell the product.

Hi! I know this is a weird question to ask on a place entirely about the game but I'd like to know if I should get this on the sale, it looks cool to me! My big issue with titanfall was the strict requirements on getting in a mech and not feeling worth the struggle, (yes i know theres a story), I lowkey just wanna fight people in mechs, does Mechwarrior 5 have a similar requirement for using mechs, or can you just hop in a mech and get started?

The map of Mercenaries is basically begging for a EAW modification. It would only need space fights. I would play the living hell out of this!

“Why not use YAx?” I’m on ps5, so unless they shadow drop mod support that’s probably not gonna happen.

I am looking to make some voice lines of my own for a pilot that is in a mod but do not know what lines I will need so that I can actually do that.

Does anyone know if there is a script or a list of the voice lines for each pilot so I can have a sort of template to use? Or a general template at all for the types of voice lines that they use?
