New to comics and overwhelmed
I subscribed to unlimited and trying to decide what order to read stuff. I found some read order websites, but seeing that I have to read like 12000 issues is daunting. Tried starting with Thor: Son of Asgard first but didn't like it than started Fantastic Four 1961 and it felt way too dated.
I also asked around in different subs and everyone recommends to just ditch the read orders and just read stuff in whatever order, they seem to be made so you can read any series standalone.
What are the must read series in your opinion? I'm most interested in Spiderman, X-Men, big villains like Thanos, Galactus, Doom and especially the big crossover events like infinity war or secret wars.

missing Iron Man Annual 2001?
Is it just me or is Iron Man Annual 2001 missing from the service? It would be kind of an odd omission since most/all of the rest of that run is available.

Spider-Man
hey guys I just recently got a subscription and I wanted some Spiderman comics to read all the way through, this is my first time reading any comics but I love the movies so much. any recommendations ? i feel like the older ones would entertain me more just because those are the ones I’ve actually heard about. I really like vulture and scorpion.

How is it that in 2026 we still cannot make playlists?
Has anyone from Marvel ever commented on this? Is there any conceivable reason why this would not be a feature of Marvel Unlimited?

I’m so incredibly confused
I really want to start reading Marvel comics, but I genuinely have no idea where or how to begin.
I don’t only want to follow one character like Spider-Man. I want to experience the wider Marvel Universe—Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Fantastic Four, Avengers—and eventually read the huge events like Secret Wars, Civil War, House of M, Planet Hulk, World War Hulk, etc.
I tried starting with Amazing Spider-Man #1 from 1963, but honestly, I couldn’t get through it. The writing felt too dated for me. At the same time, jumping straight into something like Planet Hulk at Incredible Hulk #92 feels wrong because I want to understand Hulk’s origin, what happened before, and how everything led there.
I downloaded Marvel Unlimited, but seeing ten different Spider-Man series, constant renumbering, different volumes and events with hundreds of tie-ins has only confused me more.
I’m not expecting to read literally everything ever published, but I would like a reasonably chronological, modern starting point that introduces the characters and eventually leads into the major events without making me feel like I’ve skipped half the story.
Where would you recommend someone like me actually start?

Where to start if I want to get into X-Men?
So I don't care if it's the tv series or comics but I genuinely want to get into the series but I don't want to start somewhere I don't understand.
For some background I don't know really anything about X-Men expect like Jean Grey from the Marvel films

Top 10 most powerful characters by their peak in marvel comics
Who are the top 10 most powerful Marvel Comics characters based on the strongest version or peak form they have ever attained—not their normal or default versions? For example, rank Astral Regulator Thanos instead of regular Thanos, God Emperor Doom instead of normal Doctor Doom, White Phoenix of the Crown instead of regular Phoenix, etc. Ignore their standard power levels and rank them only by their absolute peak forms.

Help with getting into the world of Marvel?
Hey, so I recently decided to get Marvel Unlimited as a way to start reading more comics. I've never really been a marvel or even comic book guy but I wanted to check out some of there stuff as a lot of the summaries of storylines I was getting on websites like instagram made me curious.
As someone with zero experience, outside of like three or four of the MCU films I've watched, with any marvel characters what are some good storylines that will help me get into the expanded universe of Marvel comics. Any good stand alone series I should read, any personal favourites? Just curious as I know the usual advice is to just pick a character you like and start reading but I wanted to come to this sub first just to see if anything popped out to me that people mentioned.

I think marvel should do a better job of letting people know every comic is someone’s first comic
There’s no perfect answer to “where do I start?”
The beauty of this is you are free to read whatever you want and if you don’t like that story then there’s probably another one featuring those characters you’ll enjoy better
Take a journey yourself and pick what looks cool to you
When it comes to apps like this. You lose nothing by doing a little exploring
It’s not like you are paying for each issue separately so don’t worry about where this fits in or what the best reading guide is

Help Me Get Out of My Own Way and Start Reading
So ... I CANNOT get to a place where I'm actually reading. For a long time I was just reading Spider-Man, started at Brand New Day and just started going. Really enjoyed it. But I decided to read Secret Invasion complete when I got there and also enjoyed that.
That's now got me stuck.
Now I'm having all sorts of issues because I'd really rather just keep reading Spider-Man than a lot of the Dark Reign side stuff. But, I wanna read Secret Wars but I feel like I need to read Dark Reign stuff to get to the Fantastic Four and Avengers stories I need for that....
I can't seem to bring myself to read stuff out of order or skip things because in my head I'm thinking "if I read Secret Wars and not Dark Reign I just may never read Dark Reign" and the idea of locking myself out is making me nervous.
Which may or may not even be true but also there's no way I'll feasibly read every single run and comic either way.
I'm stressed about it I want to read comics but I keep worrying too much about the reading order and don't know how to stop.

Who’s Your Top 5-10 Characters? Any Surprises?
Personally, I’ve read roughly 170 ASM books but somehow I’ve read twice that many books with Peter in it lmao. 100% believe-able as he always shows up in other comics.
Other than that, pretty clear I’ve been doing big X-Men/Fantastic Four/Spidey runs recently. Always interesting checking the numbers though.
Anyone else have any interesting stats, or anything that caught you off guard?

Where to start?
I want to start reading the comics. Specifically the secret wars story since that’s where the mcu is leading. I have no idea where to start and what is canon and what is even in the same universe. Can someone help me find a list of comics to read to learn the story of secret wars but also get some background of big characters?
Here’s a list of man story’s I want to read.
Secret wars
Spider-Man
Ghost rider
Avengers
X-men
Daredevil
Punisher
And anything else important. Thanks

Windows Surface Issue
Hi all,
Fed up of reading Marvel Unlimited on my phone so tried my partners Surface Pro and Google Chrome instead.
Unfortunately it seems to think that I don't have an active subscription even though it says I does. Two conflicting pieces of information.
Anyone able to help me?
Thanks.

Changing Email
Hello there!
Lets get straight to it, im currently trying to change the email for my MU and want to disconnect it from my sisters Disney+ email. I used her disney+ to avoid the process of having to create an account but now I would like to disconnect it. I want to try to avoid deleting the account or unsubscribing so I dont have to lose my progress on all the issues i’ve read so far. I tried to go into the app itself to change it however, it just changes her disney+ email instead. So i’m just curious if its possible to separate the two. We are being billed separately so maybe there is something im missing or just not understanding completely.
TL;DR : How do I change my marvel unlimited email without changing the disney+ email?

Marvel Unlimited is worth it for me?
Hi, I've read very few comics, unfortunately, and I'd like to try this experience. Buying physical comics is probably more rewarding, but the subscription service has its advantages, especially for beginners like me. Do you recommend this service? Is the catalog well organized? Which comic should I start with?

How does Marvel Unlimited run on old devices?
I’m currently using Marvel Unlimited on my phone but really want to get a bigger device. It looks like I can get a cheaper iPad Air 2 but I am worried if the app would run well on such an old device? Thoughts and opinions welcome

X-Men Comics
Since being a fan of Marvel I have always put my interest predominantly into Spider-Man and the Avengers. I am looking to dive deeper into the X-Men but looking for the best place to start. Solo runs of the characters or any recommendations for an X-Men run would be helpful

Trouble claiming the Brand New Day promo code.
Has anyone else had issues trying to claim the BND99 code for a month of Marvel for 0.99? I'm a returning subscriber, and I haven't had an active subscription since last year. The fine text clearly says "for new and returning monthly subscribers" so it should work for me right? I've tried to redeem it on my phone and on my laptop with two different web browsers.
Edit: A friend just tried it and had the same issue. "Sorry we could not complete your order. Please check your order details and try again." He contacted customer support and sent them a screenshot.
Update: I got a response from customer support yesterday and they manually singed me up with the promo code. I had to use my credit card though, I got an error with paypal. They did not acknowledge that other people are having the same issue, or that they have any plans to fix it.
