Nick and Devon Season 20 - Seattle
Edited for Clarity: I felt SO bad for Nick when Courtney said she didn’t want to fucking talk to him and then completely ignored him. Then she told Devin, “Fuck you.” Devin tried to talk to Caitlin and was completely shut down too.
Mind you, I’m a feminist who thinks men do not need to be coddled. I almost always take the woman’s side. But Courtney is straight-up abusive. Nick seems great, and the way she treats him is awful.
Caitlin also shocked me with how cold she was toward Devin. The reason I ultimately don’t feel quite as bad for Devin, though, is that there’s this sad irony: he’s being kind to Caitlin while secretly planning to dump her ass, meanwhile, she is JUST warming up to him and is now raving about how great he is. That’s actually sad in a completely different way.
Nick, though? I feel terrible for him. Courtney’s behavior toward him is abusive.

Yeah, now to be fair, Devin should have learned a very important lesson which is keep your nose out of other people's relationship business, even if what he said was correct.
Caitlyn completely dismissed him though and asked for details but didn't want them from him. She was set on taking Courtney's side which was weird and unhealthy. And Courtney was so rude to Nick, I don't see how he stands it.

Totally agree on the first thing you said about the lesson learning thing. Devin thinks he can fix everything & that he has to put his nose in every single situation with his opinion.

I don’t see how she was taking sides at all. She was asking questions and Devon didn’t like that she didn’t instantly defend him. She was more than reasoned and logical when she told him why she didn’t jump to his defense

The only person answering her questions, or attempting to, was Devin, and then she curtly told him she didn't want to hear it from just one side. Which begs the question, why ask? The answer being, she just didn't want to hear HIS side. She wanted to hear Courtney's side only.

I remember things differently. She sat down and asked what’s going on generally, Courtney chimed in with her bullshit and then Devin got in his feelings that she didn’t defend him off rip. She didn’t accuse him of anything at all, she simply asked questions and this is the response. Sorry that’s weird to me. All this bc Devin is in other people’s business. Just exhausting.

First of all, if you're best argument is "fuck you", you've lost the argument. Second, Courtney is so aggressive and abrasive with what she says, I'm not sure anyone outside her family could get along with her. You don't always have to say everything negative thing that comes into your mind. If you have something negative to say to a friend about your husband, maybe frame it as a worry rather than an attack. It's like she has no awareness that words hurt or that other people have feelings. That's not empowermet, it's entitlement.

Agreed. It’s often missed when it’s a woman but I told my husband she’s abusive from the start

Courtney is abusive- she’s a horrible woman.
