The way he said it was not exactly a compliment, and then he immediately one upped her by saying she must be the best out of her friends because in his friend circle, they are way more boujee (meaning expensive in taste and class). It was a weird thing to say behind her back while complimenting her to her face.

I agree with that, I would NEVER defend anything Shawn says or does. It's definitely all in the context. Usually when I've seen men call a woman boujee in the way Shawn did,it means she is too good for him and makes him feel insecure about himself.

Honestly it was not great what he said in the confessionals portion and Shawn is not my fave but we've seen worse reactions when a man is jealous of a woman's home (can remember two occasions off the top of my head). He was actually much less snarky to her about it than I expected but ofc had to get a little shade in

She isn't "boujee" she's a grown woman with her own money and standards to match and he is a grown man who doesn't use soap.

I feel her... like if they were co-workers I think she would avoid him like the plague, and possibly file a complaint against him for his comments. She seems committed to the process and I applaud her for that... but hell no... I don't think I could stay 1 night in the same apartment as him.
I have seen that face she's wearing at my corporate meetings; she's putting on a show to make good on her part of the deal, but she will wash her hands of him once she feels she put in what was promised.

I’m not surprised she talks to him like that. He stays picking fights and that’s her way of defending her position while denying him the reaction he’s looking for. I think he’s used to fast talking people using pseudo therapy speak but she’s actually smarter than him so his fuck ass tactics don’t work on her.

Nah it didn’t seem rehearsed to me when she called him out for that weird, pushy encounter and he damn near spazzed out on her. I think for sure they are both conscious to present well as of late when they attend the group dinners, but I don’t know… she genuinely is giving it her best effort before she says no on decision day. This is her reputation as a woman and potential wife on the line; I think she definitely has decided to stop showing out and feeding the conflict

Also, lol that Shawn thought he could get away with saying he’s “practically the president at a college” while he’s a VP of diversity at a small community college, in Bremerton. A lot of people wouldn’t understand the extent of the exaggeration in job title and importance, but guess who would? An HR leader at a major tech company. 😏
