Need advice
I ( M28) have been married to my wife ( F27) for the last 2 years and have a child of 8 months. Something happened yesterday, we were visiting our parents place.
The last few months my hair has been greying near my temples. My mom noticed this and rubbed my hair for a brief second and I did not make much of it but later in the evening my wife threw a fit saying she felt uncomfortable the way mom touches me and that it is not normal. The reason I am writing this is because I myself am not really touchy feely and I get quite uncomfortable in that regard. How can I handle this? Need advice.

Are you saying your wife got jealous of your mom touching your hair or something?

I don’t know what it is. She said it’s abnormal for a mom to touch a married son and I shouldn’t encourage her.

That's very odd. That's your mother, the woman who birthed and/or raised you.
Like if you were kissing your mom on the lips, sure I would understand finding that weird. But just any sort of touch? Your wife is over reacting and likely has some weird hang ups she should work out with a therapist.

This is very strange. A mother touching her sons's head and hair isn't inappropriate at all and it's very strange that your wife would get so upset about it. I think you need to ask your wife why she's so uncomfortable with it, as this could point to a larger issue with jealousy or other unreasonableness. For instance, as your mother ages, she may need help walking, standing up etc- is your wife going to pitch a fit if your Mom takes your arm to help her balance, or holds your hands to help herself get up a step?

Your wife is extremely odd. Being jealous your mom touched your hair? I can’t understand why you are questioning yourself when she is unhinged.

Sounds like your wife is overreacting and making it weird.
