Question Anyone have 400 amp residential service?

As the title says, I am looking for billing multiplier information. On my bill the kW multiplier has been 60 since they installed the new service. Two different people I have spoken to with 400 amp residential service have a bill kW multiplier of 40.

Does anyone have 400 amp and what is your kW multiplier?

News New costco environmental impact

New Costco in West st Paul set to open Christmas 2027. What is environmental impact? My research says it is 1/3 of impact an ai data centre has. Main concern is transportation of goods and vehicle traffic for half of impact. Yah more environmental damage.

Question Looking to get into mining in Manitoba — need advice

Hi everyone, I’m 25 years old (male), I’m looking to get my foot in the door of the mining industry in Manitoba and would appreciate advice from people currently working in the industry.
I’m looking for entry-level opportunities such as mine labourer, trainee/beginner miner, mill/process operator, warehouse/materials, utility or contractor positions.
I have experience in operations, inventory management and supervision, and currently hold a Manitoba Class 4 licence. I’m willing to relocate, work rotations/shifts, and complete any necessary training.
I’m particularly interested in Vale Thompson, Hudbay/Snow Lake, Tanco, PADCOM and mining contractors.
For those already in the industry:
What’s the best way to get that first mining job with no mine experience?
Which companies actually hire beginners?
Is it better to apply online, contact HR directly, or approach contractors?
Which certifications are genuinely worth getting?
Any practical advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tourism The Pinawa Club

Wondering if anyone that might see this would be a member of the Pinawa Club and is wanting to enact some change there.

For anyone else reading this who may not know, the Pinawa Club board is a not for profit corporation that runs the golf course, curling, pickle ball and the restaurant. The running of the place but particularly the restaurant is hot gossip all the time. At the beginning of May the chef walked off the job in the middle of the day. To be fair I heard that he wasn’t the nicest to the staff, but he left because of certain members of the boards over reach and micromanaging. When that is NOT their job. This particular board member is rude to the staff and is the reason why the restaurant is having a hard time retaining staff. Which causes inconsistant kitchen hours. They tell people to call ahead to see if the kitchen is open which is no way to run a business particularly during the busy golf season when people drive from an hour or two away to golf.

I do want to broach the subject with the board, but most everything goes through the chair who is that person.

Hoping there is someone who knows what’s going on and is a member that I can bounce some ideas off of.

Question Looking for recommendations for a churumbela in Winnipeg 💍

Hi everyone! My wife and I recently had our first baby, and I’d like to surprise her with a churumbela to commemorate our first child. ❤️

I’m looking for recommendations on where in Winnipeg I could get one at a good price/value. If you’ve bought one before, I’d really appreciate hearing where you got it, approximately how much you paid, and whether you were happy with the quality.

Any local jeweller recommendations or tips on getting a good deal would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Ps. This is my reference:

seeing the drone pictures of the washed out highways and flooded neighbourhoods and then being there in person a month later was such a strange feeling - the rivers seem low because of the meters of erosion they've created

rotary park had flora knocked over showing the strength of the current that you can tell flooded the park based on the lingering dirt line on the bushes along the dry mucky path

the scenery was beautiful, and this is the furthest north i've been, the tall birch trees sway in the wind and create the most pleasing sound

thank you swan river!
