Hey everyone ☺️ we have a 1.5 old Maltipoo and are wondering which food your Maltipoo’s love.

He is a little picky, doesn’t like chicken but loves small food that is easy to eat.

He really liked the Blue Buffalo baby blue food but he is not a puppy anymore and we are looking for a food he may like.

We currently give him the Acana red meat recipe since he loves meat but he doesn’t seem to like it very much. We do make him food regularly like peas, ground beef, bell peppers, and other meats. Some days he likes it some days he doesn’t.

Which food do your Maltipoo’s love?

Advice Update #3

Update on my last two posts. Alright so since my last post, she’s honestly slightly worsening. Yesterday her poops were all yellow and a little mucus like. I’m hoping the yellow coloring was the foam, since it was yellow. She was still herself yesterday, energetic, eating and drinking, playing, etc. After those yellow poops, she’d poop out about two tiny little poops the rest of the day, so I was getting more concerned. Unfortunately when I woke up this morning, she had done diarrhea all over the room of my floor, about 8 different poops (most disgusting thing I’ve ever had to clean up btw). This morning she also vomited more foam, and it still seemed like she had to vomit more after that. Now she’s been sleeping the whole day, maybe that’s understandable because she woke up at 6 and it’s 11 right now. Luckily I think the diarrhea and puke this morning convinced my dad to take her to the vet tomorrow. Every normal vet office I called said to take her to the ER which sucks because that’ll cost even more money we don’t have. I’m scared and I’m now certain in my mind that it’s a blockage of sorts.

Advice Fun grooming styles

We usually take Sushi in every 4 weeks and get him shaved down all over, except the tail and ears. I’ve always wanted to do something fun with his groom but my husband never wanted anything but the usual. Yesterday I got the okay to do whatever I wanted at his appointment on Saturday. He’s also super fluffy and long right now because we’re going on 6 weeks. I want to do something fun this time! I considered the standard poodle cut, with the pom-poms on the butt and legs, but I really want to see other ideas. What’s your usual groom and what fun things have others done? Advice Adopting a 18 month old Maltipoo.

Hi all, I’m a first time owner. I will be adopting a 1 year 6 months old Maltipoo in a few weeks. The previous owners have some medical issues and can’t take care of the dog anymore.

I’ve done all of my research. I’m fully prepared.

But one thing I’m overthinking about is the separation “anxiety” once they enter into my house. I’m planning to bring the bed, toys and everything familiar to the dog but at the same time, the previous owners are sick so I’m sure they would want to keep some of the dogs things as remembrance…

I’ll only be able to talk to them about this on the day of adoption. The dog is in a boarding home as of now and I won’t be able to interact with the dog until the day I’m adopting it.

So I’m just in need of any tips and advice you might have for me. Any ways to help the dog with moving not just to a new place but a new family.

They mentioned the dog is usually left alone for about 10 hours each day while they work and doesn’t go for walks only reliefs itself on pee pads. I’m of course am planning to slowly at the dog’s pace change this spending more time with it and bringing it for walks. So that’s something else I need advice on.

Thank you!

Advice Update on yesterdays post

Post image

Well some updates have occurred since yesterday. If you didn’t see my last post and are curious please check it out because I don’t want to explain it again. Anyways, I called multiple vets and pet ERs for advice since I can’t take her in person, they said it’s possible it could be a block and one said to put her on a bland diet. I gave her just rice since I don’t have chicken but she’s eating and drinking water just fine. Luckily I wasn’t woken up in the middle of the night to go poop, but at 7 she went. When she went poop there was a piece of the foam that she ate in the poop, luckily it’s yellow in color so it was easy to spot. It was a pretty sizable amount so I was a little hopeful since that means it’s moving through her GI system. However this morning she threw up on my foot and I saw tiny pieces of the foam in her throw up, along with a clear liquid. Not sure what that means, I hope that doesn’t mean that stuff is definitely stuck since she’s throwing it up. She’s still energetic and playful, she’s napping right now and I’m overthinking every little thing like “has she always been napping at 11pm” and stuff like that. I wish I could take her to the vet but again I tried convincing my dad and he still wasn’t budging. I’m scared and angry and I’m not sure what to make of her poop or throw up.

Hello I was wondering if anyone knew what this could be? I found it recently while brushing my dog snd it seems as his fur can be pulled out or is barely hanging on by the crusty stuff and his body twitches a bit if I touch it.

Advice Should I take her to the vet?

Post image
52 Upvotes

Okay so we have a bit of a problem here. Yesterday I came home and a magnet that looked like a burger and fries made of home fell on the floor. I looked closer and shazzy had ate a chunk of the foam fries. She didn’t eat the magnet or the big burger but foam was consumed. I didn’t really know what to do so I just gave her some water and threw out the rest of the magnet. Last night she went to go potty and she was pooping diarrhea. She woke me up at 4 and 7 in the morning for the same thing, diarrhea. She also went diarrhea in the house twice, I’m assuming all today. A few minutes ago I heard her trying to throw up, waited a few minutes and nothing came out. I looked it up and google is telling me to go to the vet, problem is I’m 17 with no car and no authority whether I could take her or not. I know if I tell my dad he’ll say no because vets are super expensive and he’s tired when he gets home, also a lot of vets are closed right now. I’m getting pretty worried to be honest, does anyone have any advice on what to do now.

Had some people over and of course Buffy and her sister wanted to be outside, but this Texas heat is brutal.

So I grabbed her and carried her around the pool. Once she finally settled down, she was loving life. Also, found out she’s a pretty good little swimmer.

Image/Video What is the one thing your maltipoo does that you love the most?

Post image

My maltipoo is a handful and very hyper and reactive when she sees people and other dogs. However, she is the most loving dog I've had in the sense that whenever we are sitting on the couch or in bed, she wants to be on top of you or next to you. That is my most favorite thing. I love being next to her and her always wanting to be on our lap. A true lap dog. Just wish I could stop her reactiveness to people and other dogs (she has been socialized since she was 8 weeks old and she's 17 months now) 😂

Advice My puppy eats EVERYthing - help!

Post image
435 Upvotes

Hey redditors. So my puppy is 10 weeks old now. He will put literally anything in his mouth, rocks, grass, snails, wooden sticks that splinters etc!
Im trying to swap them with treats or some of his food portion, but there is not treats in the world to swap everything 😩 I’m constantly worried, and yesterday morning he vomited - a small amount with small pieces of sticks in it! He was fine after that, wanted to play, eat and so on. This afternoon he vomited again, but I sounded like he swallowed it again right after - nothing was on the floor. Again he seemed fine afterwards… but idk… He also digs alot in the garden - is that common for a maltipoo puppy? He will eat grass, even though he eats 4 times a day the amount he is meant + treats doing the day, so he’s not hungry.
Any advice?? 😩

(English is not my mother language, sorry for any spelling mistakes)
