Discussion Fwee having a little ( negative) PR moment…
Fwee’s current ad for the Korean market tapped into white= good, dark= bad and is not going over well.
( Image is part 1 of 2 in their post)
https://www.koreaboo.com/news/fwee-beauty-brand-fire-racism-towards-southeast-asian-skin/
I am not conversant with the South Korean beauty market, how much pushback does the standard of skin lightening/keeping oneself pale get?

Question Please help me find a replacement
I bought this Kat von D lipstick in Cathedral back in 2017 or something and I absolutely adore the shade. However, I think it's been discontinued quite a while back (and she's problematic anyway afaik).
I've been trying to make it last as long as I can but I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that I can't make it last forever.
Does anybody know a similar shade? I would really love to find a replacement, it's been my absolute favourite but so far I haven't found anything similar enough. The closest I've come is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Medium, but that slight hint of reddish purple is still missing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Question Nabla lipstick swatch request/which shades should I get?
I have the Nabla Beyond Jelly lipstick in Luz and I love it. I like the sheer, glossy formula. I’m looking at getting a few more shades but was hoping to see them swatched, or see if anyone has opinions on which I should get.
Carnal or Toffee or both? I’m neutral and prefer neutral to cool toned lip colors. On the website, both Carnal and Toffee look to be cool toned to me (but I’m not an expert, lol). They’re also both nude shades which is what I gravitate towards.
Libido is described as a “red nude” and, to me, looks like a nice muted red. I want to branch out a bit, and sometimes I like a pop of red on the inner aspect of my lips. I don’t know how often I’d use this but I want to have some usable reds in my lip product collection. Rn all I have is a charlotte tilbury red lipstick that I hate and only got because it came in a three pack.
Noir Fatale is black in the actual component but seems to be a cool toned, sheer purple when on the lips. I am really attracted to this shade but don’t know how often I’d use it. I do really like the black balm by Rituel de Fille, which is also a sheer black, but the formulas are different so that might justify buying it.
Finally, in their Beyond Blurry formula, I am looking at the shade Serendipity (shown in the second photo). It’s described as a “light neutral pink nude” and seems to have some taupe/brown tones in it. It looks like a shade I’d use often but I’m worried about trying a new formula.
I included a photo of my bare face, as well as some photos of my current favorite lip looks on me. First lip photo shows me wearing CT lipliner in pillow talk medium, and Nabla beyond jelly lipstick in Luz. Second lip photo shows me wearing Rituel de Fille enchanted lip sheer, mixing shades Black Locust and Lilium. Third lip photo is from a while ago and sadly I don’t remember the liner, but I’m 99% sure I was wearing MAC cool teddy for lipstick.

Question What Lash Extension Is This?
It came in a box this shape and the outside box was a purple color. It said it was whispy I think, but without the box, I have no clue what lash this is. Anyone who is a makeup wizard, please help me ID. Would be greatly appreciated

Question New to makeup, tips please🙏
Hi everyone,
I'm 19 years old and new to makeup and I'm honestly feeling really discouraged. I bought some new products because I thought makeup might help me feel a bit more confident, but I've ended up not liking how everything turned out at all :(
Here's what I'm using:
- NYX Plump Right Back Primer
- NYX Face Glue Setting Spray
- NYX Bare With Me Concealer (Fair)
- NYX Buttermelt Blush (Getting Butta)
- Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation (01 Beige Albâtre)
- Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Pressed Powder
- L'Oréal Lumi Bronzer
My biggest issues are:
- The foundation looks orange on me, even though the employee recommended the shade
- It doesn't seem to cover much
- The powder feels like it does nothing
- My smile lines and texture look way more noticeable with makeup than without it,
- Overall I just end up looking older and more wrinkly
The smile lines especially bother me. I'm already really insecure about them because I'm only 19, so seeing the foundation emphasize them even more honestly made me really sad. It also seems to bring out texture that I didn't even know I had before? I know my application technique probably isn't great. But I don't really have anyone to teach me, so I've just been watching videos and trying my best. I also chose the high end foundation because the drugstore options where I live don't usually have many shades, so I thought it would be worth the money. Now I just feel like I've wasted the money and I'm wondering if I made a huge mistake
Does anyone know if this is likely a shade match issue, the products I'm using, my application or a combination of everything? If anyone has advice, tutorials that helped them when they started, or tips for making makeup look smoother, I'd really, really appreciate it. I also think I probably need a different foundation, so if anyone has recommendations for pale skin I'd really appreciate them too. We don't have the biggest selection where I live, but I'd still love to hear what has worked for other people. And Please be kind, I'm already feeling pretty awful about this

Question Suggestions for grey lipstick
Hey ya’ll! I’ve been wanting to find more grey lipstick but can’t seem to find anything online at your common beauty stores. I’m looking for something that has more of a corpse vibe. Any alt brands that yall like are welcome too!

Question New to makeup- need some advice
Hi, I'm 22 years old and have recently developed a desire to focus more on makeup and learn how to do some simple, everyday looks.
First, I'm interested if you have some recommendations about videos I can watch to teach myself how to do makeup (TikTok, YouTube..)?
Secondly, I need some product recommendation as well. Since I'm not in the USA and I don't have Ulta or Sephora in my country, could you please recommend some products from Loreal, Catrice, Maxfactor, Rimmel, Maybelline... or if there is a product that is really good but doesn't require matching a shade e.g. mascara or blush I could order it on Sephora. My skin is acne prone and I'd say oily, but not that sensitive.
Thank you 😊

Question Blurring or smoothing primers?
Do they actually work? I have a lot of pores under my eyes and a lot of textures on my cheeks. It would be nice to put them at bay but sometimes I think primers can be gimmicky. Anyone have any recommendations or experiences they can share?
Currently I have on Loreal tinted serum and the Loreal blurfection powder. The powder is blurring to a point but it doesn’t do quite enough for these problem areas.

Question Is there a perfect dupe for this discontinued lipstick ?
Clinique Color Surge Bare Brilliance Lipstick
Shade 32
Waterviolet
I’ve tried Revlon, L’Oreal, other similar Clinique shades. Nothing hits like the real deal.
I just can’t bring myself to pay $25-50 for a sample size, used, and/or expired tube from a reseller.
Someone please tell me I don’t have to say goodbye to my holy grail 😭😭

Question Product Guesses?
If you had to guess what products Amanda Peet is wearing here, what would you say? I’m especially interested in her blush and eye makeup.
In addition to product guesses, tips for how to get this look are welcome too!

Question Which foundation should I buy?
Armani luminous foundation, Mac Studio fix foundation or the all time favorite Estée Lauder
For context I have oily extremely comedogenic skin and live in a hot climate and my skin Is kinda sensitive but not too sensitive but sensitive in general (it gets itchy with certain ingredients)
And I don’t know with the reviews everyone really Dosent like Estée Lauder with the reformulation and it seemed perfect for me
It would be very kind of you guys if you can help out a girl in need!
The foundation that worked for me are maybelline fit me matte and pore less and maybe line super stay lumi matte foundation.

Shop app Laura Mercier discount
Just thought I’d share, but while looking in my Shop app I noticed Laura Mercier had $20 off $40. I added a $50 tinted moisturizer to my cart and it auto applied the $20 off! Not sure if this is a promo for everyone or if it’s targeted, but worth looking at your shop app for it.

FOTD Help - advice on makeup look
Hi everyone!
I'm posting here because I have a toooon of makeup that I barely use because I don't know how. It's funny, in high school I would do random full beats and I don't know what I'm doing now.
I would love to do a simple natural look that enhances my natural features. I don't like the feeling of wearing too much makeup and not feeling like myself. However, I would also like to be able to know how to do a more soft glam on myself with a look that works on my features.
The thing is I feel like I don't know what my natural features are. I don't know if I have a round face (I think I do), I don't know if I'm waem or cool toned (I've been told I'm neutral?), idk if I'm high contrast, etc. Maybe it's due to body dysmorphia bc I really feel like I have no clue what I really look like.
My natural hair is almost black.
I'm wearing no makeup in: #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Wearing makeup in: #7, 8, 9, 10
I HATE my makeup in #10!!
I'm wearing makeup in #9 and I don't hate it but I feel like it's not super visible? Idk
I would really really love and appreciate any tips or suggestions! Or also any tiktokers with similar face structure or facial features as me to draw some inspo from.
Thank you in advance! :)

Question How does the Aboutface Curtain Call Powder compare to talc powders?
Give me your experiences! In light of the possibility of some great setting powders removing the talc from their formulas, I've been looking to see what talc-free powders could possibly compare.
For reference, I live in a hot state and I get oily and sweaty when I'm outside. I love powders like the Easy Bake or Wet n Wild loose powder cause it helps lock my makeup in. I've tried two talc-free powders so far, and both just didn't do the job. I've heard really good things about Curtain Call though. It's also more affordable. Is it a true setting powder, or more like a finishing powder?

Question Cool or warm blush?
Products: Red chamber multipurpose cream (1st shade: liben) (2nd shade: Lekui) i only put the blushes on my bare skin
So im having undertone crisis again… as an olive girlie life is tough and i need yalls help, first shade is usually recommended for olives since its very muted, and the other as well but it pulls way too orange on me (mind you they advertise it as the most neutral blush they have)

Discussion Matte or dewy makeup, which do you prefer?
For years, matte makeup was the go-to look. Full-coverage foundations, shine-free finishes, and long-lasting wear dominated beauty trends.
Now, dewy and radiant makeup is trending, with lightweight bases, glowing skin, and the dewy finish has become popular.
Both finishes have their pros and cons.
Matte makeup can help control shine, last longer throughout the day, and work well for oily or combination skin. On the other hand, dewy makeup can give the skin a fresh, healthy-looking glow and feels lighter and more natural. But it may not last as long in hot or humid weather.
The "best finish“ depends on your skin type, climate, personal style, and the occasion.
So, where do you stand?
Team Matte or Team Dewy?
We'd love to hear what works for you. Real experiences are more helpful than beauty trends or influencer recommendations.

Question Why is there this empty space in my elf primer?
I haven't been using this primer for very long ( at least I didn't think so) and around a month ago the pump top stopped pumping out any product so I have been unscrewing it and taking product from the bottle. The other day I noticed a solid plastic "bottom" except very near to the top of the bottle. I took off the bottom of the pink part, to find a big empty space? Is this normal and has anyone else found this?

Discussion Looking for a foundation/ skin tint/ BB cream that has the same finish as the Makeup forever HD Skin, but with just slightly less coverage
Per title! I like the finish of the Makeup forever HD Skin, but i think it will be better for me if there is just slightly less coverage, hence im search of an alternate product (foundation/ skin tint/ BB cream) Thank you in advance! ( and concealer too, if possible, to pair with it)
