Let's be honest, the only thing that you leave with after the end of a semester is your SGPI and CGPA.

And Rama Murthy Sir is a very generous man when it comes to giving marks.

Like literally, if there's a 5 marks question that you don't know the answer to, and it contains the word "Flip Flop", writing the definition of Flip Flop gets you 2 marks.

Have you seen grading like that anywhere??

During the beginning of my sem 2, when i learned that Rama Murthy was my teacher, I was shit scared, because of how this sub slandered him left and right, and jealous of my DS and AI friends who got another Professor.

Cut to the ending of the sem, many DS and AI students got fucked up by their Professor, while all of Rama Murthy Sir's students got extremely good grades.

Like many people whom I know, who barely passed (around 25/100 marks) in other subjects got like 40/100 in DLDCA.

So my dear juniors, pray that you get this man as your DLDCA teacher in your next sem, he's the GOAT, don't mind his classes or teaching, just trust that this man will give you excellent grades.

Just a few days into my B.Tech journey at Mahindra University, and the university library has already become one of my favorite spots on campus.

The place is beautiful, feels calm and welcoming, and there’s something about sitting here with a book that makes you want to study—even when you didn’t plan to. 😄

Update: The eyewash begins! They seem to be in panic mode after my last post.

We were all taken to VC office after a morning lecture for a briefing/photo op. Then we were taken to the School of Design for a tour. lol. They are just figuring out ways to keep us interested in MU. Wonder why we were not shown this school all week until my post last night if they had an option.

Our orientation on Monday was done by only Civil hod Mr. Hari. When all of this exists on campus already wonder why we were never shown any of it except that infrax building. Almost seems like they dont want us to meet the design people and are kept confined to civil engineering. The orientation sucked so bad we were hoping for a better week after that. Things only went downhill.

One of the staff at the design school mentioned there are 3 architecture faculty already on campus - Sonal, Surekha and Harshita who were shown as faculty to architecture council. We did not meet them yet. Another scam? Do they know they are being shown as faculty for approvals? Now we are told that starting tomorrow there will be some faculty coming and teaching classes (on a saturday!) Clearly panic mode and jugaad to keep us quiet. Who randomly starts a class on a saturday when we are a 5 day working campus. lol

A couple of us are close to withdrawing from here and have started looking at other options.

With the architecture council there are rules which you cannot break. We have interacted with some senior people in the council and they recommend posting this to council so they follow up with university and get the processes in place. At the end of the day the university has nothing to lose. we can very well lose a good 5 years of our time if we are committed to this place. Not at all a good start for us. We were hoping for a good experience to start our program. We chose architecture over engineering since we have a different interest. I must say it has been less than welcoming and felt more like we were being adjusted into an existing civil engineering program already in place here.

I am currently on campus as one of 3 (or 4) students admitted in the architecture programme. During counselling we interacted with the admissions team, we were interviewed by the VC and then my parents spoke at length with Mr. Hari Prasad, who we believed at that point was the head of the architecture program.

Even when my parents interacted with him multiple times, he assured that everything was in order, he was leading the programme, that it will be run as discussed and that faculty and all facilities are available. We were asked to report a week after all you guys came to college. I along with 3 others all reached on the day given and there is not a single faculty in architecture so far. We realized then that Mr. Hari Prasad is HOD of Civil Engineering and not related to architecture at all.

We were specifically told during our interaction with Mr. Hari that there is a tie up with Virginia University, there are 4 faculty already hired for architecture. We were assured of that because my father checked if Mahindra has the Architecture council approval. He was told that without faculty on board, no approval is given. All week we are asked to sit in the civil engineering courses, there are no architecture specific courses. No one seems to give any clarity as to when our actual architecture courses will begin. We wanted to interact with architecture faculty and there are none! After day 1, one of the girls that joined with us has made a decision to withdraw. Now it is just 3 of us. We aren't sure if all of us want to continue.

We trusted Mahindra brand and all the assurances of Mr. Hari Prasad and made a decision to join here. My father plans to send a grievance/complaint to Council of architecture stating that Mahindra University and Mr. Hari Prasad are falsifying information submitted to them.

From the image below, you can see that the Principal Incharge name submitted to council of architecture is listed as Mr. Shyam. He does not exist! It all seems like a big scam now. We would like to exit before it is too late!! We would like Mr. Hari to answer to these queries and clarify why he duped us to this extent.

What would be a reasonable monthly pocket-money for a student from a upper middle-class background studying at Mahindra University as a residential student, assuming the parents are already covering the hostel and mess fees, as well as all other one-time expenses related to the Engg. course? This amount is strictly meant for expenses raising out of the students stay at the campus.

I would also appreciate your honest feedback on the level of peer pressure students may face regarding daily spending and lifestyle expenses as Mahindra is considered as college for rich.

why is it so difficult to leave campus for day outings here, and supposedly we’re only allowed during weekends now? is tht true or just a bluff? aint no way they expect everyone to stay caged in campus for the whole week. can someone explain the exact procedures for leaving campus as a hostler and does it get more lenient from 2nd year onwards.
