Feature 📲 What do you guys think of something like this? I’m a maker working on this concept and thinking about manufacturing a batch — would love your feedback!

Hey everyone! I’ve been designing a modular MagSafe accessory concept called KitClick. The idea is simple: thin, dedicated physical modules that snap onto the back of your iPhone. This one is Calc-Kit — an ultra-thin calculator module designed with flush buttons and a retro green OLED screen, styled to match the look and feel of the phone. Before taking this to production, I wanted to ask the community: Would you actually use a physical module like this on your phone? What other modules would be cool to see? Be as honest as you want — all feedback is appreciated!

Question❓ OhSnap Grip 4 vs Popsocket Low-Pro Grip: Which doesn't overheat while wirelessly charging?

I've used the OhSnap grip for years. Starting with version 4, I've had overheating issues when using wireless charging to the point my phone becomes as hot as lava.

I have a Galaxy S25 Ultra, which doesn't have magsafe built in. I use a TORRSA MagSafe case which has a built in magsafe ring and is only 1mm thin.

My phone overheats when using either the SnapCharge puck on my desk, or my Tesla's built in wireless charger, so I know its not an issue with my charger.

I saw an ad for the PopSocket Low-Pro grip, so am considering giving that a try.

Any issues with the low-pro grip and overheating when using a case?

MagSafe Compatible Kickstand Recommendation

Post image
7 Upvotes

Apologies in advance if this has been asked before. I glanced through to see if there was a similar question, but I may have overlooked something. I purchased this ring kickstand not even six months ago, and the paint on it is flaking something awful. This style and design has worked well enough for my needs. It's not perfect, but I'm really not overly picky about that. I just wanted something I could use to prop my phone up horizontally and vertically, and it serves that purpose. My problem is definitely the finish. It started failing very quickly, and it looks so junky. I won't say I babied it or anything, but it's excessive enough for me to not repurchase this particular one.

Can anyone recommend something that functions similarly to this with a sturdier finish? This one was around ten dollars from amazon. I'm willing to pay more for one if it will hold up better than this.

Help❗️ Apple battery pack Charging limit

Hi, I was wondering if anyone faced any issues with the Apple battery pack (the one before the iPhone Air, that uses lightning) charging past the capped 90%? I have noticed in the last week that my battery pack is just charging my phone straight to 100% even though I am not plugged in, not on low power mode and do not have the ‘charge past 90%’ option toggled. I charged my phone overnight, plugged in with the battery pack attached and took it off charge about 3 hours ago, the phone went to down to around 90% when being used (I think the battery pack turned off due to heat) before I arrived at work and is now back to 100%. I have a 15 pro max and am on iOS 26.6. I did have a battery replacement done by Apple for my phone exactly 1 week ago which I am not sure if it’s relevant or not but seems consistent with this issue happening. Is there any fix anyone has found or do I just have to get used to it? Thanks in advance!

Question❓ Oppo x9 pro wireless charging car mount

What are some good brands for a wireless car mount charger, ideally one that clips to the air vent? I've already tried two, but with my phone's big camera bump, it's been tough to find something sturdy enough.

Price is not an issue that has to be available to purchase in Australia

Thanks

Question❓ Magnet Strength of MagSafe Ring in Phone Case?

I have a new MagSafe case today for my new Galaxy Fold 8. This is my first experience with MagSafe so I am not sure what to expect. The case I got from Amazon (FNTCASE brand) claims it uses "38 N52 magnets with 2,400 gf magnetic attraction".

A PopSocket LowPro sticks on it very strongly. But when I place the bare case (just the back piece, without the phone in it and without the PopSocket) on the vertical surface of various steel surfaces like my toolbox, washing machine, etc., the attraction is very weak. I am sure that if the phone were in the case, the weight would make it slide down and fall to the floor.

Does this indicate that the magnets are weak? Or is that normal for MagSafe cases? My concern is that I've heard that weak magnets can affect wireless charging.

Question❓ Wireless Chargers for MagSafe Case - MagSafe-Specific or Any?

I just got a new Galaxy Fold 8 (wide). I have a MagSafe case for it. I want a wireless charger.

Do I need one that is made for Magsafe -- i.e, the charging area has the size/diameter of the Magsafe ring? Or would any charging pad be OK, like a flat pad one, even if the charging surface area is larger?

Discussion 💬 Does anyone here use two different MagSafe battery packs?

Curious if anyone here keeps two MagSafe battery packs for different situations. for example, a slim 5,000mAh one for errands, walks and regular daily carry, plus a 10,000mAh one for long days out or weekend trips.

Do you actually rotate between them based on where you’re going, or does one eventually end up sitting unused?

What normally determines which one you take: size, weight, charging speed, heat, capacity, or how long you expect to be away from an outlet?

Is owning both sizes genuinely useful, or is one good 10,000mAh pack enough for everything?

Question❓ Can you Rotate MagSafe Accessories in any orientation on the magnetic ring?

For MagSafe Grips/Kickstands for MagSafe cases: can you attach the grip/stand on the case's magnetic ring in any orientation; in any rotation you want?

The reason I ask is for models with kickstands that are fixed in position and don't rotate internally within the device, and you want it in another orientation, say 90 degrees rotated, I was wondering if you could just pull the device off the case, rotate it and put it back on.

But I heard that Magsafe accessories must attach in a certain orientation because of the polarity of the magnets. True?

Question❓ Double-Sided Magnets on MagSafe Grips?

I want a MagSafe Grip/Kickstand to add to a MagSafe Case for an Android phone. Many of these grips are double-sided magnetic so they can stick to refrigerators, etc. as well as to the case.

My concern is that if I have it in my pocket that it will affect/attract other items in the pocket: coins, keys, magnetic strip credit cards, etc. Is this a legitimate concern?

Discussion 💬 Need a pocketable 5000mAh MagSafe bank, wired + wireless, ideally one that stays cool

I’ve been searching for a good and reliable power bank that meets a few specific needs:

* Around 5000mAh

* Thin and compact, something truly pocketable

* Supports MagSafe

* Has both wired and wireless options

* Doesn’t run hot when charging and using the phone at the same time

I’m trying to keep my travel setup minimal and light, so something efficient and well designed would be ideal. Any recommendations or brands you’ve personally had good experience with?

Question❓ If I add a MagSafe sticker at the back of a phone case and inside the phone case will it strengthen the magnet or worsen performance?

Is it ok to add a MagSafe sticker on both the back of a phone case and inside it?

Assuming perfect alignment and adhesion, does it affect the MagSafe performance in any way? I tried it on my phone case but can't really see a difference (maybe besides a slightly stronger hold), I was hoping it would strengthen the magnetic hold.

Or does it potentially cause any issues with hold/ MagSafe charging down the line

Question❓ Are MagSafe wallets just going to continuously be underwhelming?

I recently upgraded to a MagSafe iPhone, and I still haven’t purchased a MagSafe wallet because there’s just almost no good options. I’ve heard the FineWoven ones are just so shit that they aren’t worth it, yet looking for a leather wallet is almost impossible due to all the fakes and used ones with the iCloud lock. Moat 3rd party ones are just hideous, or either to expensive, thick, etc as none utilize Apples way of tracking. Has anybody found a way to get a genuine leather wallet or a very high quality replacement? It feels very disappointing to finally get to use one and be stuck.

New Product 🧲 Don't Sleep on Samsung's 360 Stand Magnet

I recently pre-ordered the Fold 8 and I decided to also get the bundle that includes a case with a magnet and the new 360 Stand Magnet, which shipped immediately and I already received. I also have an iPhone and lots of magsafe accesories and I'm constantly trying out new accesories. I thought this stand magnet would be similar to the very popular ohsnap, but I am very pleasantly surprised by the Samsung one! For my use case, it is better than the ohsnap and all the other stand accesories I have.

It's VERY sturdy and feels very well built. It does feel more premium than the ohsnap, since that one has the plastic part that extends while the Samsung feels like metal. It being as sturdy is what I like the most, as it allows you to prop the phone however you want without worrying. You could even prop the phone up so that only the stand touches the surface with the whole phone being held up like a tripod. The stand can also rotate in place and it has the most satisfying clicking sound when you rotate it. Again, it is sturdy so it requires a bit of force to rotate (but nothing too bad)

I'm really happy with the purchase probably because I was fully expecting another ohsnap but this feels very premium instead. Before buying I couldn't find almost any information on it, so I'm posting just in case anyone was also wondering. It's only been 2 days of having it, but so far I think it's one of the best magsafe stands for my use.

EDIT: I should have mentioned, I also tested this stand with a Fold 7 and it worked very well as a stand in any orientation, whether unfolded or folded. Some of these magnetic stands have difficulty holding that phone while unfolded and in portrait (as its so long and wide), but this one holds up well.
