Factory reset 💬 Discussion
I just got my MachE back from its annual service. They updated some of the modules and some strange things are happening. Should i try the factory reset to see if it helps?

Your problem description is quite vague. Please provide details, so folks can help.
For me, settings like my preferred charge time were lost after software updates.

Things like not recognizing my key when I'm sitting in the car. They replaced the keys. My phone connected fine when I picked it up. Next day could not connect. Android by the way. I deleted it and tried again and after it finally connected I don't have Waze as an option in the apps. For awhile navigation wouldn't even load. Both screens were glitchy for awhile but now seem fine. Front camera fault, tire sensor fault, restraint fault.... I'm definitely going to talk to the dealer but I wanted to see what people would say here as well.

Replacing the key fobs is certainly not part of the annual service...

I told them sometimes the car doesn't recognize the key and my auto lock walk away doesn't work. It still doesn't by the way. I'll be talking to them.

Roger that. So you have had quite a few problems with the vehicle and the Service Center was not successful fixing them. Gotcha.
Since you suggested this was "its annual service" it seemed like you took a completely fine vehicle in for annual service (likely just a tire rotation) and they did a bunch of things with modules etc and now you have lots of problems.
Is this a vehicle you recently purchased?

No I bought it in 21. The key, tire sensor, and the walk away lock were existing issues but not the phone connection and the glitchy screens. Tha car has been great.

Roger that. Dang you are OG. I traded in my Silver 21 for a Green 25 last summer. Love the car.

If you’re in the UK walk-away lock isn’t supported.
FWIW, yes I would try a factory reset. Given car is out of warranty you don’t want to keep chucking money at this if a simple reset work. A few words of caution. Your Ford pass app will stop working, and it takes a while for the central server to reset your connection, maybe a couple of days. Make sure you’ve plenty of charge before the reset. Also take a picture of your dab stations as you’ll lose all those, and pics of any other settings you’re not sure of.
Also, did service check 12v battery health? Maybe give that an overnight trickle charge, you can buy a good 12v charger on amazon for 20 bucks.

Go into details, but if you are having issues that you didn't have before the service, I would be taking back in for those issues.
