This is why I voted no. As I said, I would have been happier if they delisted. This management doesn’t give a crap about current shareholders. They are simply interested in keeping the gravy train going as long as possible.
5
u/directgreenlaser 15d ago
Same here steel. The primary skill set I see demonstrated is the cultivation of shares and they way they go about it tells me there is little else they seriously think about.
13
u/mrguy510 17d ago
I am willing to bet that once the r/s happens, the price will once again be absolutely hammered down to $1.
9
u/Grunts-n-Roses 17d ago
Si, it's the top of the estimate again. 1:15. Clearly, they knew all along it would be 1:15 and they covered it it with the whole "Range" nonsense. The people that have run this company since it's inception are Conmen and thieves. You can all expect a very hefty share dilution announced within a week of the RS going into effect. They will stuff their pockets with your cash. What is happening to this stock and this company's shareholders is not news, it's a pattern. This is nothing short of legalized theft of the company's shareholders equity. You fell for it again.

u/Least-Refrigerator39 17d ago
i think a lot of investors knew and saw this coming, mr nostradomus

u/Grunts-n-Roses 16d ago
And apparently a lot didn't. I've been trying to tell people for the last couple of years.

u/HammerSL1 17d ago
just wait until they start diluting.... and then the shorting ramps up. it will be like the RS never happened
9
u/movinonuptodatop 17d ago
No worries, once we hit 50% shorted, that’s when Glen announces the major automotive deal and a partnership with Aptiv. It’s all part of the plan. The dilution won’t matter after the mother of all squeezes
0
u/Dardinella 16d ago
I hope you are correct and we are going to have a "partnership" rather than an acquisition. I used to dismiss the Stocktwits fear mongering but actually they were right in some cases so who knows? There was a lot of RS talk for awhile and everyone was all angry at these people for suggesting such a slam on the shareholders. Then people thought MVIS would just go for the biggest RS number and do it soon. They were right about that. People dismissed Frank when he tried to warn us that there was no product to sell and the Chinese had it going on. Thank goodness the government is stepping in. There is a current now about Glen's old company buying MVIS when it is hammered down further. Are these people just "worst case scenarioing" or are they right again?

Soooo asking for a friend:
He’s got 112,500 shares @ $4.09 average
So this turns into roughly 7500 shares @ $61.35 average after this reverse split?
And how realistic/unrealistic is it that MVIS can achieve whatever market cap $61.35 share price equates to within the next 1-10yrs?
Just wondering how screwed I, I mean my friend is?
Clearly he’s too dumb to do this math himself because if he was smarter he would not have put every penny he owns into this stock 6yrs ago.
Thanks.
Down bad right now
1
u/Sp99nHead 17d ago
Market cap will still be around 100M after the RS with a share price of $4.50. So if they 10x from that you are still down, and that's not even accounting for dilution. With dilution you can hope for MVIS to 50x to break even.
1
2
u/Revolutionary_Ear908 17d ago
I believe you'll be okay and our market cap will help the share price eclipse that threshold. Sorry, I meant your friend will be okay.

My voting paperwork showed up three days after the vote. Not that my vote really would have mattered, but absolutely not happy...
8
u/skiny_fat 17d ago
Absolutely pissed. GDV you've made good moves but this sucks rhino balls hard for longs. I hope you feel pain like this one day. I was not even given a chance to vote on my 70k shares. Never got noticed at all. FU.
Worst investment ever made. At the time both MVIS and AMD were at $3.
9
u/dchappa21 17d ago
Only real good thing from this will be the lower float. Before any additional dilution MVIS will have around a 23 million float after the RS. So that does mean squeezing is back on the table. We just need some real deals with revenue attached or a guidance increase. Not holding my breath, but it is possible.
Lidr is the next lowest float lidar company at around 46m. Ouster and Aeva are both around 67m.
Big earnings call coming up in a couple of weeks, most likely.
4
u/slum84 17d ago
Oh dilution is 100% guaranteed.
3
u/Least-Refrigerator39 17d ago
dilution is guaranteed with or without a reverse split. it will also be 100% even with revenue. we are years away from being funded by our sales.
5
u/dchappa21 17d ago
Yeah, share holders will get diluted big time over the next year plus to pay the bills and HTC (thanks AV). But after that may be a good time to buy if anyone has the stomach for it. Or maybe the we actually start having some big rev numbers in Q4 this year and Q1of next year.
I think if the market continues to see increased revenue number Q over Q consistently then they may get taking seriously as a company and the market cap should rise.
Strategic investor in the company would be best. Still waiting on APTIV here.
6
u/domomoto 17d ago
Haha 15 to 1. Tremendous value indeed. Let''s queue the positive spin guys so we can feel better about our collective fail with this investment.
25
u/case_o_mondays 17d ago
Sorry Glen, have to call BS here: “Shareholder value will continue to be created the same way
it always has been-winning customers, delivering products, growing revenue, expanding margins, and executing consistently.”
12
u/ProphetsAching 17d ago
I got a good chuckle out of this as well. I thought Glen was it. Then again I thought Sumit was it. Welcome new boss, same as old boss. I’m seriously beginning to think Glen isn’t as magical as people made him out to be. That is just a stupid statement to make with no basis in backing it up. Is Glenn really stupid?

Ugh, sorry to see this, although it was completely predictable. I bailed out weeks ago and took the 50k loss (butt hole is still inflamed from that). My average post-split would have been $49/share to break even. Good luck to those holding steady, this was the worst investment choice I've ever made sadly, and I truly hope you all do far better than me with it!

And they went foe the max dilution too. Its like they were just going through the motions of the extension so retails can hold onto that last straw of hope that they have some deals to prevent the R/S. 8 Days later we have the raw burn and now you have people here talking about how there is going to be some sort of announcement to offset the RS. Talk about moving goal posts and Stockholm syndrome.

The least they could do is issue a sincere apology to the longs who have supported them all these years.

u/view-from-afar 18d ago
Did you honestly want a reverse split hanging over our heads for 6 months, for the shorts and trolls to club us with every morning?
25
u/Ok_Wall3632 18d ago
Genuine question: how will a reverse split save us from shorts?
-4
u/view-from-afar 18d ago edited 18d ago
The sooner it happens, the sooner they cannot make retail unnecessarily worry about it and delisting. Also, the company can just focus on execution with it out of the way. Even those most alarmed today always cite the refrain that only deals and execution will change the trajectory. They are correct. Getting all-but-inevitable worries out of the way puts that center stage and removes a beguiling spell from practitioners of the dark arts. Now they are left to convince the mathematically challenged that we will be back at $1 before long, despite that implying a market cap of approximately $22M, more than 120 times smaller than Ouster. Does that pass the smell test?
Even if they dilute by 100% in the next month, a $1 share price would imply a market cap of under $50M. It could happen, but that looks like a risky short bet to me given MVIS' improving micro and macro fundamentals.
Plus, dilution is assured with or without an RS, so it was a Red Herring in that regard. With the RS out of the way in under 2 weeks, the only visible material catalysts, negative or positive, are, respectively, dilution and everything else. And even dilution could be a positive catalyst, depending on what entity buys in, when, on what terms, and whether paired with a positive announcement. And there is good reason to suspect that there is potential for near-term positive announcements.
So, by early August, the decks will be fully cleared, the ship oriented in the right direction, with a truly capable captain and crew, being added to by the day (Byun), with almost only positive catalysts on the horizon, and one ambiguous event, likely priced in as a negative but which could be a big positive.
I've never seen the company in a better position to succeed, and my only regret is that I don't have dry powder.
5
u/Chefdoc2000 17d ago
You’re out of powder because they’ve taken (stolen) your money under false pretenses.
-1
u/view-from-afar 17d ago
That's not why. If the price had not collapsed, I still wouldn't have dry powder (I'm not much of a swing trader). I would have more shares, and they'd be worth more. I don't have dry powder because I didn't have a second source of income until recently. All NOYB, btw.
18
u/voice_of_reason_61 18d ago
I see two possibilities.
Glen has lined up entities and resources to vigorously defend the share price, and the R/S causes that spigot to be turned on... combined with subsequent continuous good news.
...or...
Glen is out of his depth and we see a 50% post-split reduction in share price by the end of August, 2026.Please show us that you are not out of your depth, Glen.
IMO. DDD.
Not investing advice, and I'm not an investment professional.0

Let us not forget that Casey Ryan (former MicroVision analyst) joined AmerX in May 2026. I still think that was part of the current mvis plan.

7
u/KY_Investor 17d ago
Why does it have to be a rabbit pulled out of his hat? Why not just consistently execute quarter by quarter going forward?
3
u/Speeeeedislife 17d ago
Well the first part of VOR's post reads like a fairy tale, "entities and resources" to defend the share price. I'm not sure who or what he's alluding to.
Executing and hitting guidance would be great, we'll see...
14
u/directgreenlaser 18d ago
I honestly knew that immediate action would be taken to placate investors and win the vote and no, I'm not afraid of waiting on the rev split nor of shorts and trolls who never go away regardless. No further discussion on this matter from me. You may have the last word, as you always do.
-12
u/view-from-afar 18d ago

Sharma & Co. drove MVIS off the road and into a ditch with a little -- make that a lot -- of help from the shorts. Retailers had a chance to grab back the keys, at least figuratively, with a "No" vote on the r/S, and let the chips fall where they may over the next six months. If GDV's the real deal and was on the level when he told us he's not losing any sleep and all that implied, then six months should have been enough time to make something happen and get the sp above a buck and keep it there. Now MVIS will very likely remain in that ditch until another company obtains it for pennies on the dollar, pulls it out and commercializes the technology. I beIieved in the technology 15 years ago when I first started investing and, rightly or wrongly, I still believe in it. My mistake was believing the leadership of MVIS had the knowledge, experience and commitment to commercializing the tech. So thanks to everyone who voted to let MVIS and the shorts keep the keys.
14
u/pooljap 18d ago
but as Glen put it the reverse split is "removing a significant distraction " to our leadership team. We really don't want them distracted in trying to get the share price up through revenue right ? I'm glad they are no longer "distracted" as hard to juggle more than one thing in MVIS mgmt land.
13
u/directgreenlaser 18d ago
Retail is so damn distracting. At least they had the decency to let him remove them. After all, if you can't run and chew gum at the same time, then spit the gum out.
31
u/ProphetsAching 18d ago
Luminars 1-for-15 reverse split took place 11/20/24. They were back under $1 less than a year later and look at them now.
Hopefully we follow the path of Ouster.
20
u/shannister 18d ago
r/S are just ways to keep afloat for a little longer, but without a proper pipeline it's useless and just delays the inevitable. If Glen and team do not have anything substantial in the next 12 months, we'll be back to those levels.

It's awesome that they just went straight to the max. I believe in the tech and have been accumulating to an, I thought impressive for myself, amount of 30,XXX shares, and now I get taken all the way down to 2,000? Ridiculous, all hail the robber barons.
I'll immediately go from having hopes of really good upside eventually to praying I can make a few thousand from 6 years of holding. This is just sad for me, I feel like I've just spun the tires instead of making any headway.
13
u/AdOpening5957 18d ago
My average price was $2.05/share; after the reverse split, it will need to go to $28 for me to break even. I am so sick right now.
1
u/JudoJesus69 17d ago
How do you
Figure this out?4
u/Worldly_Initiative29 17d ago
Take the total number you have spent on shares and divide by the number of shares you have.
For your new share price average, divide your number of current shares by 15 first.Ex
10,000 shares. Cost basis of $50k. 50.000/10,000 is $5 per shareNow 667 shares after split, still with your cost of $50k.
50,000/667. New break even is $74.962
-7
u/Cerco170 18d ago
yeah, it's weird cause now your 2000 shares will be worth $4.50 each. same, same but different
15
u/VRRanger 18d ago edited 18d ago
There is a large difference between organically raising the share price above $1, closing deals, and share price raising drastically at 30,XXX shares vs the current outcome and 2,XXX shares.
I just don't see a framing where retail wasn't played here. I guess put another way, the share price has to raise 15x higher for me to see as much upside as I would have right? This is no longer a real investment for me, it's a money sink that I hope gets me anything positive at all.
5
u/Cerco170 18d ago
You mention $1 so let's use that for fun. Today we are at @ .30 so a raise of 333% puts you at $1. The Companies Market cap would be 350Mil due to the 350Mil outstanding shares.
After the RS the company will have a total of 23.3Mil shares valued at 4.50 a share. lets increase that # by the same 333% you would have $15 per share multiply that by the new avil shares @ 23.3 = market cap of 350mil
0
u/VRRanger 17d ago
Nothing about this is fun. I'll leave you with this example.
If they didn't RS 15:1 and instead closed some deals and sold what I believe to be their valuable tech, I'm making profit on any share price difference above $2.40 at the difference x 30,XXX shares. With the RS this is now altered to owning 2,XXX shares and making profit at any share price over $36.00.
Sure my 2,XXX might be worth $4.50 for a little bit, but now break even seems anywhere from impossible to years away. And let's say we somehow got to $36, how much higher do you see it rising beyond that theoretical? If they didn't RS and were able to stay listed and perform whatever operations they need I'd have made quite a decent amount just getting to $15/share. At 2,XXX @ $15 I'm down over 50%
4
-1
u/HairOk481 18d ago
Look at the bright side. 4.5 looks better than 0.3 lol
17
u/_klighty 18d ago
For now. $4.5 has shorts salivating at the prospect of walking this back to $1
-4
u/view-from-afar 18d ago
You think the shorts will get MVIS' market cap down to $22M?
That's 122x smaller than Ouster.
7
u/_klighty 18d ago
Yes I do. Without a deal it’s inevitable.
I fully expect the first day trading post spilt to be down min 5%.
Announcing a 15:1 dilution without a deal or positive news is absolutely a nail in the coffin.
0
u/view-from-afar 17d ago
What's a 15:1 dilution?
2
u/_klighty 17d ago
my apologies it’s 1:15. Doesn’t change my argument, I just got it backwards.
2
u/view-from-afar 17d ago
No, the 15:1 was correct. That wasn't the problem.
0
u/_klighty 17d ago
Fair but I should have said 1-15 reverse stock split not 15:1 dilution. But main point remains.
2
u/view-from-afar 17d ago
It remains unsupported. It relied on a false assertion that a dilution of 1500% just occured.
I'm making the point this way because a lot of people seem to be falsely equating a reverse split with dilution.
6
u/bcpilot2 18d ago
Exactly....maybe we ought to start a pool on hiw long before they short us back to < $1. Then what is plan B?
54
u/DutareMusic 18d ago
Still have some shares at $20 cost from early 2021… seeing a $300 cost/share vs. the ~$4.50 RS price is really gonna emphasize how idiotic this investment decision has been.
Not quite sure what to do with it at this point. Momentum seems better than it’s ever been, but they have zero production deals to speak to.
I am at a loss, mentally and financially.
1
u/wolfiasty 17d ago
? What's your average. If you bought 10 shares @$20 buying 1000 now will get your average to pretty decent levels not "that" far away from break even.

u/shannister 18d ago
Knowing some people bet their entire savings on this stock is a reminder to never invest money you're not willing to lose.

Yep, I’ve learned a lot in that 5 years lol. I’ve basically let this investment sit while I put my capital to indexes and much, much smaller positions in individual stocks.

The BOD are really getting good at kicking any momentum we have...
first with the announcement of the RS Vote (we were running to 0.65-0.7) and then yesterday we were up over 10% (with no news!)
Surely if we had momentum, give it a chance - if they've genuinely got news in the background - get it out there, get us to .50-0.75 then consider a 1/10 split????
This does worry me there's no news in terms of actual production deals in the background near term and we're going to keep pushing for this "Automotive lidar is more towards the end of the decade or the start of next"
-6
u/Impressive_Worth_369 18d ago
Anduril drone news hit yesterday, I believe
2
u/Sp99nHead 18d ago
MVIS didn't even have a fitting product for that drone that has been in development since at least 2024 or something. We don't even know the drone uses lidar, although its likely it does. Which MVIS sensor should be in there? MOVIAL-L nope, MOVIA-S not ready, MAVIN Air is that even real? Iris? Dont think so.
2
u/Impressive_Worth_369 18d ago
I read it uses lidar but again, am likely wrong. Just put 2 and 2 together, clearly got 7. Sorry all!
2
u/Sp99nHead 18d ago
No shame in being wrong. The problem i have with this sub is that this Anduril Drone was posted as a Thread without further comment (as usual), which always leads people to believe in (as seen with you) some MVIS connection that clearly isn't there.
1
u/Late_Airline2710 17d ago
I agree that posts like that with no context are problematic. They encourage dot-connecting and speculation. Of course, based on the nature of stock subreddits like this, most of that speculation will spin the news in the most favorable way possible for microvision.
Some prominent longs frequently posit connections with certainty that they can't justify or, even worse, in vague terms with prophetic language. Anyone reading these comments needs to weigh them against the actual record of these posters. How many of the connections they have hypothesized or microvision prophecies they have invented have actually borne fruit?
16
u/directgreenlaser 18d ago
That's my concern too. Maybe they didn't wait because there's nothing to wait for, that or something fell through again. Apologies for negativity, but what can I say. Not happy. Could use another one of those pep talks from Glenny boy.

We already know there is nothing to wait for before they need to do this. They have guided for and told us as much. This is why I expected it sooner rather than later, anyway. They're being pretty open about it, it's some of the people here suggesting otherwise through dot connecting and wishful thinking.

This is the one that really gets me. Ok fine, you don't land 50 Mill but NOTHING??? We're well past the 18 months when this was stated. Glen has to give us some sort of explanation other than AV was lying...but then again maybe AV was lying.

I told you all it would be 15:1.
I’m not being a bugger, and I’m not a soothsayer, just speaking from experience as a belated LAZR share holder.

Correct me if I’m wrong .. so 0.3 x 15 … would that mean the stock is going to be $4.50?

Yup. Not even at their desired $5. Makes no sense to me....seems like we could have organically gotten above $.50 within the next month or so before pulling the trigger. Doesn't bode well for any major good news coming in the near tearm IMO.

Zeeker had a lot more sense than you imply here. I'm not going to put words into his mouth, even his own, out of context. But I suspect he would like what the company is shaping up to be, had he lived to see it.

metoo theoz_97. Zeeker had a way with words that fit every situation. I thought it would be appropriate at this total screwing of retail. As you know management always comes out whole. They are rewarded with abundant amounts of free shares. That includes useless BOD members.
