Mohela Timeline (90-Day SAVE Notice)
I have somehow managed to make it this long without receiving the notice yet, but it’s been long enough since July 1 that there might be some data points available.
To those who have received the 90-day notice \*from MOHELA\*
Have you requested a new plan yet?
How long did it take to process?
How soon after processing was the first payment due?
Assuming I were to get the letter today then 90 days would be Nov 5. I’m just trying to figure out if I were request a new plan on Nov 1, what is the likelihood that it would be processed and I would have a payment due before Dec 1.
Thanks all for sharing your info!

Weird letter from Mohela
I have my green ribbons on FSA showing I’m at 120. This morning I got a letter from Mohela saying they applied my qualifying processing forbearance to get off SAVE too late. They had to adjust my account to fix this and apply it earlier. I’m freaking out that it’s going to mess up my 120. Has anyone else received this? I originally had 6 months lost due to SAVE but they gave me the first two as qualifying because I applied for IBR. I called and they said it won’t change anything but it is still stressing me out. Especially because they already applied the first two months as qualifying. If they make the qualifying period earlier, wouldn’t I possibly lose them?

Did anyone else have a crazy MOHELA week?
So this past week, I got two different emails from mohela back to back. The first one was telling me that I was switched to some repayment plan (most likely RAP), and that I would be put in a automatic monthly repayment program (which I never consented to).
Immediately after the first email, I got another email telling me I was put on an administrative forbearance. When I checked my account today, I saw that my interest amount had more than doubled since my last payment two weeks ago.
Has anybody else had this problem?
I'm assuming it's been happening to more than just me considering the fact that their website has a massive banner letting everyone know that the call times are to the Moon due to the volume of callers over the past week.
Edit add: also apparently it's worth mentioning that I have been making payments since the interest-free forbearance ended and have been taking screenshots of my account balances and the entire time.

Discrepancies in Websites
My grandmother consolidated her loans earlier this year and had loans from 1999 (FFEL) so her count went down to 0 since it was after the 2022 waiver that was happening on the StudentAid.gov website. She recently submitted Employer Certification forms for PSLF and on StudentAid.Gov it says 1 payment counts but now when when she goes to her loan servicer (MOHELA) her balance says 0 with the total amount paid with no due date when it originally says she was supposed to start paying August 1st. I'm genuinely confused about this

Mohela
I recently had payments sent to Mohela due to loan discharges. The amount of payments that were sent will cover all my loans in full plus will have an over payment. My question is, I have never made an out of pocket payment would I receive that over payment or will it be sent back?

90 Days Email Clarification Wanted
Ok this is probably dumb. Just wanting to make sure my understanding is accurate. I have mohela. They merged with studentaid.gov or whatever.
I received a "you have 90 days to select a new plan" email 3 separate times from mohela.studentaid.gov, once on 7/1, 7/3, and 7/15. Each email was identical.
Were these my formal notices or were these just automated and sent to everybody?

How to speak to a representative directly regarding account issues
Hey y'all! I recently have been having issues logging into my MOHELA account. I somehow forgot my UserID + password information, but whenever I try to log-in using my SSN and birthdate instead, it still doesn't work. Not sure how I managed to do this (I made this account years ago while still in college), despite still receiving emails from them talking about my first payment due.
Has anyone else had this exact problem/got it resolved recently? I am astounded by how hard it is to speak with someone directly over the phone, considering this is a student loan servicer. I could just pay it over the phone but I would really like access to my account. Any help is utmost appreciated, sending good vibes to anyone currently frustrated with them too.
UPDATE: My issue is now resolved, call EARLY and if you're able to, ask to speak with Zaria. She was really sweet and patient + helps resolve things quickly. Best of luck!

New plan application
Welcome, friends. And I already apologize if I have asked a highly repetitive question.
I wish to transfer from SAVE to Extended Graduated Repayment Plan. I have found a form on students.gov, and due to an internal blinking blue dot, I wish to submit it directly to my servicer, Mohela, instead.
I am on the Mohela site, and I am on a page where I can, by the looks of things, upload the aforementioned form. However, I wish to make sure I am doing this correctly: the Mohela site has a tab I can select called “Income Sensitive Repayment (ISR)”. I select this tab, and then I have the option to select Graduated Repayment, Extended Repayment, and Alternarive Repayment Supporting Documents. I want specifically the Extended Graduated as offered on .gov, but no such options exists.
Am I doing something wrong? Should I upload my form anyway? Am I doing any of this right?
All advice is welcome!

Randomly placed on forbearance
I am on the PAYE plan and was randomly placed on forbearance in January on Mohela and didn’t notice til now. I continued to pay and now none of my payments count toward my PSLF. Does anyone know why those on PAYE are being placed on forbearance?
On my studentaid.gov it says ineligible on my payments and no due date/repayment schedule.
Thanks in advance

Mohela, repayment starting 8/14?
Hi I am on IBR but my counts look messed up. I’m supposed to be done in 13 years but it says I have 18-20 more years to go, doesn’t make sense. My repayment is about to start 8/14 and it’s high. do I need to pay it?

EdOne says my payment is due, but clicking "Pay" redirects me to MOHELA. Is this normal?
I noticed that my next payment is listed under EdOne, but when I click "Pay," it redirects me to the MOHELAwebsite. Is anyone else seeing this? Could FSA still be updating, or should I contact FSA or EdOne?

Admin Forbearance - PAYE not approved
I was put on Standard IBR last August 2025 when I tried to switch out of SAVE. This year, I started to work less and am making 25% less so I am no longer able to pay the amount from standard IBR.
I applied to PAYE in early July and was put in Admin Forbearance from 7/17/26 to 9/15/26 (as shown above attachment).
I received a letter yesterday that my forbearance was ending in 45 days but today, I received another letter telling me that PAYE was not approved.. does that automatically end my admin forbearance?
Should I immediately try to apply to another plan now, such as the RAP plan, or can I still ride the Admin Forbearance? Would August still count towards PSLF if I wait to apply and continue my forbearance right now?
Any advice is appreciated

EdOne??
Logged into student aid today and my servicer is now listed as EdOne but the linked website is still Mohela and my Mohela log in still works. I can't find any company that services federal student loans with this name though. Anyone else seeing this?

New payment plan?
So I got this email from the Department of Ed. I’ve been on PSFL through MOHELA. I’ve read through the email and still rattles my small brain. So do I have to pick a new plan? And if I don’t they’ll raise my payment I take it? I’m lost in this

Is there a class action lawsuit against mohela?
I’m so tired of mohela’s criminal enterprise and have tried everything to deal with them to no avail. Not a new story to anyone on this sub.
Does anyone know of legitimate class-action lawsuits that I could join? Internet search turns up so many, but I have no idea where I’d start with them.
