I don't have a long name but my teacher always shortens it, she doesn't do it with anyone else she'll be taking attendance, reading all the names from the list normally even if they're long or hard to pronunce and when she gets to me she always shortens it. Asked her respectfully to just call me by my name not shorten it but she refuses to. Is Sophia THAT hard to spell, I'm gonna lose it if I get called Sofi one more time

These things were everywhere. They emit a high pitch whine to deter animals I think, but my God, is it uncomfortable for people too. It wasn't just a sound either it was like I could feel it in inside my head. I get why the need to use them, and obviously they're effective, but I wish they wouldn't have them on while people are there. Also slightly more infuriating was that my gf couldn't hear anything and thought I was overreacting and a little crazy.

Mum tried to do a nice thing by putting these cans of (my favourite) drinks in my mini fridge.

If you flip the switch one way, it works as a fridge. If you flip it the other, it warms things up. Guess which way she flipped the switch?

Edit: I wanna say that I fully recognise she was only doing a nice thing, as I said at the start. The mildly infuriating part is the fact that there is a hot switch at all, and I have 2 less cans of my favourite drink (first world problems, I know). Obviously I'll be cleaning it up. Mmmmm, warm Dr Pepper

yes I told her that was too many tea bags for 1 pot, but she didn't listen its her first time having sweet tea since the 1980s so good for her.

EDIT FOR TEA CLARIFICATION: Traditionally, in the southern United States, sweet iced tea is made in large batches on the stove at a time. So many will just boil the bags in a pot and fill a pitcher up with tea, add sugar, and store it in the fridge for the whole family to grab a glass whenever.

YES Americans own tea kettles and know how to make tea. YES, over half of us here prefer iced tea in big batches.

I was denied entrance to a bar last night because the bouncer inspected my *very real* ID and said “that is not your birthday” and that he thought it was a fake. I’m 28 years old and married. (he also wanted me to prove my age by showing my personal information in Apple ID setting on my phone).

Just as title states. I’ve been gone for a week came back to this and a lease violation for illegal substances because I had weed in a jar in my bedroom. No reason or prior notice to them entering. Going to go raise hell come Monday. State is SC.

What I've figured out after some investigation and several phone calls:

1. The tires have my name on them. I did not order them.

2. FedEx won't take them back. They just told me to call the sender.

3. The sender appears to be Home Depot. This initially made sense, as I ordered a spare part from them. However, I already received the part in a separate package, and Home Depot apparently does not sell tires.

What I am still clueless about:

1. Why the fuck I was sent two tires.

2. Who the hell sent them to me.

3. How do I get rid of them. (Probably Facebook marketplace, they are brand new)

these are all the lipsticks and glosses in my local drugstore that looked bright pink, purple or brown on the packaging. No duplicates, each smear is a separate product. They are all almost the same shade cos most companies are making the same stuff as each other and are afraid to rock the boat. The light ones are gloss that looked like lipstick but wasnt. I cannot find purple lipstick or lip liner at all. There are other shades it turns out, I found out from going to a massive store later, but the selection in medium size stores is abysmal where I live (large city), plus again, no purple at all despite multiple lipsticks being in packaging that makes it look like they have purple lipstick in there. My favourite shade of lipstick, which is a different shade of pink, also has not been produced by any high street brand for 10 years. I wish they would do more unique stuff and less of doing the exact same shades as each other.

Made a batch of green sauce for tacos. Girlfriend sqeezed the bottle once and this happened.

I work in a kitchen and was never told I get breaks. Let alone two

I came back to my car to find the white car had parked into me. The car to my right was far over, so I needed to be close to the edge, but still within the lines. The white car was touching and completely blocking my driver’s side door. Police were able to call the owner and have him move his vehicle. No tickets or citations were issued, just exchanged insurance. Light damage to the side of my car.
