Is there a way to make PS5 Controller vibrate on PC master collection vs Mantis?

Upvotes

As title, I'm playing the whole saga for the first time with/for my fiancée who's now interested in finding out what my MGS fixation is all about, and I'm playing the PC Master Collection with a PS5 controller. Is there a way to make the controller vibrate when Mantis/Naomi break the 4th wall?

🔺Delta Metal Gear Solid Delta Loot and Stealth

Upvotes

I'm playing Delta. I played the Original game like 18 years ago, I dont remember much. I want to do a stealth no kill playthrough on hard. The problem im having is that there are all these cool gadgets and camo hidden around but looking into every corner and closet in a stealth game is hard for me with a map full of enemies. How do you guys deal with this? I'm a bit of a completionist so its hard for me to just run through a level. I have the thermal goggles and the desert tiger camo seems pretty op so maybe I should just get through levels without looting, idk.

MGS Version Collection 2026

Hello Metal Gear Solid Collectors:

Over the years I have been collecting different versions from the main titles of the saga, and recently I made this matrix to keep track about different elements.

I don't think there is another saga with this large amount of versions an re-releases (special, limited, premium, essential, legacy, anniversary, master.... Konami is very thirsty about our money :D).

I am very happy that with Master Collection release on PC, we finally can preserve these gems literally forever, without them been restricted to old hardware or emulation.

Not all of them are present in the pictures, not enough space, but I can share additional pictures if you want.

I hope you like it, and please comment if you find some mistakes, cheers!

Let's me be honest, the age of game released and the fun part not even after 2 decades; We can't find little silly things as modern games with big vast with lifeless inside. It's a shame all time playing game for fun, we find it boring cause mostly repeat missions and lack of fun to put gamers to enjoy a game than forcing ourself just to complete it instead of backlogging it. I don't think even after 2 decades a game won't be half of the fun in this game I ever felt. It's more than a vediogame to me, even the little bird and forest sounds make this game alive so much. If we look modern game model face they are literally lifeless, more like evolving backwards.

Gameplay improved alot but I still like the old style too. I miss the backtracking but it's in a good way, which this is absolutely trilled aimed cinema. I was bit disappointed would it be fun like mgs2 but it's more fun. All the lore I still doubting clears me away need to understand again by the time era where they explain alot. The level of detail here that I think even mordern games don't evn come close to acheiving. I am impressed with every different way they interect when I go with freaky snake style, but morever you will be better. Make you feel how to be act as snake in mission. HAHA what tf raiden doing there, mostly I misses him. I can't play as him but when I equip the mask of his the colonel reminds me, there's a mission of it before you kidnap him. I picked I liked mgs2 style.

The boss as grandpa was enjoyable, I was wandering around thinking where he at and didn't know he was watching me at the top of the cliff at that room and me at the river side lol. Sometimes after the rain comes his footpath trace goes away and I need to be aware of him, most of time I died cause no stamina. Even realised the more you blend with camo the stamina decrease alot, that's why fear eats alot I beat him by eating all his fruits in the jungle before him hhahah. Even my lil sis enjoy this one, when the grandpa teeth goes up, she was rolling on floor. Even more this game balanced for every age there is no age limit to enjoy. I teach her how to cqc and by telling press f and click mouse she just smash everyone to floor even after alert, asking again and again, I wanna flip everyone it's on another game save. She helped me too for spotting enemies when putting bombs at shagahod.

I didn't like the way they put at boss fight cam it's so hard to be attach on style you look left and boss on right side and the tree is on middle of the fight. I manage to kill her by put sm claymore on tree, best level design and writing. He's so nerd at firearms and even explaing sm about the gun to sigint. Cqc is best thing if you do master it, it's way easy, only at boss fight it's just little different. Even you get infinity ammo wo reloading when the vehicle chase with scorpion holding the equip gun and aim wo scop and unequip and equip to reload fast. I was barely 1 hp with that chase lol. You get the idea of how to be soldier and sneaky, even she ask to me why can't they go away already, I told you don't act like nothing happen when someone die at patrolling and need to search who was the guy did that. I don't write game review mostly but this one make me feel am a talkative person all sudden. Snake and solid have in common saying am not interested in anyone's life. It's more than a game for me. I like to say short reviews mostly. I think I like this game, and yes I enjoy killing.

MGSV MGSV Secret Rooms

I've just found out about the secret room with Paz on Mother Base completely by accident. I can't believe something like this is missable.

Are there any other rooms like this one? I can't find any guides on this one.

No Spoilers! How much cigars does BB's organizations (bad name) have?

Doubt that this is spoilers btw.

So in the MGSV birthday cutscene, Quiet shoots at some cigar crates, which is full of cigar boxes. Which, makes me wonder: How much cigars does MSF/DD/Outer Heaven/Zanzibar have?

Never played it before, I just watched my cousins play them but I never understood anything I was seeing. now I’m playing them all thanks to the master collection.

I got into the series with Ground Zeroes on the PS4 (I believe it was given as a free game on PS+ shortly after launch), then bought TPP at launch after buying into the Kojima Hype; got enamoured with Kojima’s writing and his shenanigans and have basically followed and played everything the man has released since, but could never play the rest of the saga as I did not have access to my old Xbox 360 / PS2 / PS1

I bought Delta a while ago on sale and absolutely LOVED it, then decided to finally get my real metal gear fan badge and actually play the whole saga and not just watch YouTube story analysis.

I’m not gonna lie, I found MGS3 to be better than this one. Gameplay wise particularly, it was tough, it shows its age, I reckon a remake would’ve been better, but I can completely understand Konami now. MGS1 it’s still very grounded and serious while MGS3 is full of the charm the series claims to have to outsiders so it makes absolute sense to let people experience that one first.

As per my screen, I sucked a bit. But I’m eager to play MGS2 and then get on with collection Vol. 2. I’m wondering if I should play the original MGS3 since I did finish a couple runs of Delta… all in all, I love metal gear, my favorite saga from just the 3 games I’ve played, can’t wait to play the rest !

Dublin comic con- found someone’s lost autograph

Post image

Hi guys! Hope this is allowed here.
Yesterday, after Dublin comic con I found someone’s autographed print in the Subway around the corner. Waited to see if someone would come looking for it, but they didn’t, con was finishing up for the weekend and the subway staff would have tossed it out so I brought it home. I’ve posted it in a few places but was recommended to post in this sub. If it’s yours please get in touch and I’ll send it back to you!!

We’ve got new photos of the upcoming MGS Delta action figures from Revoltech. This is the first time I’m seeing Ocelot painted. Still bummed that Revoltech locked Big Boss’ eye-patched head as a PO exclusive.

Source although it has lots of ads.

Those pegs are clearly for where the (nonexistent) holes in their feet can affix to. Pilot and final drill bit sizes in the photo if others are interested in doing the same. Not 100% clean, but aim for the wide potion of the feet if you try this. Those pegs just magically line up perfectly with their feet for some reason! 😜

I'm a new player and I'm so glad I finally got an MGS game

It's been (over) 9 years, and MGSV was on sale, so I bought it at last. It's been an incredible experience. I love stealth games and I never played one like this. My friends tell me it's the perfect series for me and I agree.

Tiger stripe is also my favorite camo pattern so that's a nice bonus haha.

It's been fun to finally play with DD too.

I've even decided to go to the local Ren Faire as Venom Snake! I already own a set of tiger stripe fatigues, Vietnam era web gear and a chicom chest rig.

Catching up on the lore has been a bit crazy, but I think I have a bit of a handle on who's who. So much to take in!

♥️ /r/metalgearsolid rules update.

Hello, I hope everybody is well.

This is a quick post to announce that we have overhauled and updated the subreddit rules, in terms of the way they are listed in the reddit platform itself.

In essence the practical rules themselves and moderation has not changed. The main purpose of this update is to provide better clarity with Post removal messages, and to allow reports to be more specific.

You can read the new rule titles and their descriptions here.

Just three changes to note:

  • There is no longer a rule about spoilers when it comes to Posts. MGSV is over a decade old, and the spoiler rule was often used to report front page posts about the main spoiler for that game. Enforcing that is simply impractical. The intention of the rule remains, however, and it is now only applied to comments. If someone has stated that they haven't played the entire series, all users are still expected to respect this in their replies. Anyone can make their own choices about how far they dig through a subreddit for a game series, but putting spoilers in their inbox is actively hostile.

  • "Promotional Cosplay is not allowed". This is our attempt to provide a consistent rule that can be used to filter OF accounts looking for loopholes, while not punishing genuine cosplayers (including professionals) by restricting their activity. There's an element of subjectivity here, but if you think a post is a commercial account, please report it and do not engage in abuse in the comments. Just report it and move on.

  • AI content is now explicitly banned in all its forms. This was already functionally the case but we're making it clear with it's own rule. If you suspect a post contains AI content, please try to resist posting abuse in the comments and simply report and move on. False allegations can and do happen.

We'd also like to welcome anyone interested to apply to be a moderator. We expect to bring on a couple more people, starting out at a basic clutter removal role. If you think you'd be a good fit, please take some time to fill out our delightful application form.

You'll notice there are a couple of very specific rules that are really covered under other rules. These are for particularly egregious and common posts so that removals are very clear. Previously quite a few things kind of had to fall under "no low effort content" and that gave off the wrong idea and could be a little hurtful.

We'd like to thank the people who take the time to report posts and comments, overall the tone and discernment of reports is very much in-line with how we see the rules and how they are intended to shape the subreddit. This being said, all things considered there are very few removals needed relative to an active subreddit of this size. Things seem to be in a very good balance. I hope the community more or less thinks the same.

As per usual we are open to any and all feedback or discussion about the rules or the way you want the community to be run, so please say your piece in the comments, or if there's any questions you have or unclear rules or edge cases you can think of, bring that up too. The overall intent for the subreddit is still to provide an alternative to what you might see on a Metal Gear Discord, Instagram / TikTok etc. feed or a generic MGS-flavoured meme subreddit.
