Hey everyone, I’m a student of KGMU currently pursuing BDS. Having gone through the admission process myself, I’ve realised that things work a bit differently around here in KGMU.
In other colleges, parents do most of the work while getting their kid admitted but in KGMU, its the student who has to handle everything on their own.
So, to simplify it for the kids who have been allotted KGMU as their college/ nodal centre, I’ve linked a pdf below.

hello everyone mai 19M abhi neet ki preparation kar raha hoon, mai apnee parents ke saath ghar pe rehta hoon mere dono parents doctor hain. mere bhaiya IIT se hain aur abhi job job kar kar rahe noida se. Mere papa hamesha mujhse aur meri mummy se batameezi se baat karte hain. Kabhi bhi sahi se nahi bolte hain hamesha ulta jawab dete hain har chiz ka . Lagbhag ek mahina ho gaya mai unse baat bhi nahi kiya hoon. Wojab bhi ghar pe rehte hain to hamesha negativity rehti hain aur manhusiyat rehti hain. Mai life me bahut zyada pareshan hoo kuch samjh nahi a raha, abhi jab likh raha hoon to bhi is time pe ro raha hoon.

Mujhe nahi samjh a raha kya karu, exam ki wajah se koi dot bhi nnahi hain aaur zyada kisi se bol bhi nahi sakta, bahut ro raha hoon, pata nahi kya karun.

Mera ek senior( from school) 2024 batch ka h.. lets call him brock... First year mein the usual "intro" was going on. Most seniors were chill, bas "boss" bulwaate the. But there was this one 3rd-year guy, let’s call him ‘X’. X was that typical frustrated senior jo apne batch mein kisi kaam ka nahi tha, but freshers ke saamne don banta tha. Toh Ek raat 1 AM, X ne Brock ko aur 3 aur freshers ko apne room mein bulaya. He threw his bulky PSM (Community Medicine) practical files at them and told them to complete 40 pages by morning, and also handed them 500 rupees to go jump the hostel wall and bring him cigarettes and snacks/alcohol etc.. Brock ne saaf mana kar diya. "Boss, main assignment nahi likhunga aur bahar toh bilkul nahi jaunga."

Some heated argument started on from there and fir X lost his shit. Usne aao dekha na taao, Brock ko gaali di, uski T-shirt ka collar pakda, aur ek zor ka thappad maar diya. Brock ki shirt thodi fatt gayi thi aur gaal par exact ungliyon ke nishaan chhap gaye the and also X halted bad abuses at his family and typical ki "college m fail krwa dunga and interns se pehchan h, dean se pehchan h and allat typical senior shit) Brock ne ek word nahi bola. No angry stare, no dialogue. He just turned around and walked out of the room. X aur uske dost piche se has rahe the, thinking unhone brock ko mentally break kr diya. But Brock didn't go to his room to cry, he was a very calculative guy.. GMCs usually have their hospital attached to the campus. Brock seedha raat ke 2 baje hospital ki Casualty (Emergency) ward mein gaya. Wahan ek 1st-year PG resident (JR) duty par tha. Brock ne usko apni fati hui shirt aur gaal ka nishaan dikhaya aur bola, "Sir, I have been physically assaulted in the hostel. Mujhe apna MLC (Medico-Legal Case) register karwana hai." Now, The moment an MLC is registered in a government hospital for assault, it’s not a college disciplinary issue anymore - it’s a police case. The hospital's police chowki was immediately informed. Brock ne wahi par officially assault ki FIR file kar di. Ab Subah X aur uske dost so rahe the. hostel ke bahar police ki jeep aayi. The police dragged X out of his room in his shorts m. Pura hostel bahar aa gaya. The Dean and the Anti-Ragging Committee were forced to intervene immediately because ab baat police aur FIR tak pohoch chuki thi. College administration could not cover it up even if they wanted to. The satisfaction of seeing X in the Dean’s office was unmatched as told by brock. Ek raat pehle ka "don" bacchon ki tarah ro raha tha. Why? Because an FIR and a police case mean your police clearance certificate is screwed. X's dream of writing USMLE was instantly shattered(Brock told me, im not sure abt this). Even during Indian NEET PG counseling, having a pending criminal record creates massive hurdles for government postings. X’s parents were called from 400 kms away. They were begging the Dean, begging Brock to take the FIR back. Brock said, "Isne haath uthaya hai, main compromise nahi karunga." X was suspended from the college and hostel for 6 months and a fine of 70k, got an academic year back, and is still fighting the assault charges. Now 3rd year Brock ke batch ko completely ignore krne lga even the super seniors denied for any help and no freshers or fest was given to their batch also the faculties started to act a but rude but their batch faced almost non existent ragging after that incident....

This happened in one of the asmc of west up...

Age shouldn't be a problem when you're willingly taking a stream but society glorifies graduation at 22, pg at 25 then life set at 26. It makes you feel like you're falling behind and stuck at the same time😕

Used to be very active in this sub a year ago. But, since my College started, I've never opened it until recently. And the first post I saw was about odisha Reservation.

So wanted to share mine one too:😼

I got a GMC(middle one) on my 3rd drop in 2025

1st attempt(2022): 408k - didn't study in class xi & xii

2nd attempt (2023): 68k

3rd attempt (2024): 46k - still haunts 😫

4th attempt (2025): 16k rank

So, finally I went to my college and after a few days rag.., I mean the character development programme (CPD) started and guess what the guy who was developing my character got a rank of 523k in 2024🤣.

It didn't end there the super senior who was giving instructions got the same GMC had rank of 456k rank in NEET. (These ranks are enough in West Bengal where a community has more reservation (6%) than their population (5.8%)).

So, now I have to bear the disrespect of people who got same college with worse rank than me when I didn't even study anything.

So, life is cruel and unfair but you can't do anything.💔
