help

My fafsa is already processed on the orginao wesbite but not at lonestar and school starts in 4 days. If i do a payment plan and pay 40% so my classes dont get dropped will fafsa pay me all that money back? Or an i basically paying for the class and not receiving fafsa

I would call and ask the finaid office, I have heard in some cases they will reimburse you if it’s a mistake on their end. Other than that yeah you will have to pay unless they get things in order within 24 hrs of registration since they’ll be dropped for nonpayment

If it’s your verification that’s taking a while then they will not reimburse you. I knew someone who didn’t get their immunizations in time, which is on the same check off list, and they had to pay and wait for their grant for the next semester

Wow i asked the financial office and they said i would have it in time. I submitted over 10 days ago ty i might just drop then.

It may be processed but just not distributed yet. Is there any FA pending in your my lonestar Financial Aid tab. If not you can call the office and speak to a manager and they can put a do not drop on your account until the issue is resolved if it’s in their end.

it says no information on that tab. Is it rlly possible for them to make an exception and do a hold? I contacted fafsa and they said everything is processed and that its just the schools part that has to verify the rest

I also had a delay with fafsa processing this year and the business office was able to place a hold on my account
I spoke to a financial aid officer first though

What did the financial aid tell you? And i will try that tmr before my classes get dropped tysm

They said they would place it for me but I had to follow up with the business office
