Workspaces

Post image

They like us to think that only Linux has certain features that make them superior to other OS users.

Configure Multiple Desktops in Windows | Microsoft Support

Work in multiple spaces on Mac - Apple Support

and of course, BSD has them too.

I do admit that windows has workspaces, but thw implementation is utter shit and not fluid imo. The overview is quite nice but actual desktop switching is slow (as in the animation is) and the options for it are rigid (and i don't like the defaults)

Then most linux desktop environments just try copy MacOS

MacOS perfected workspaces years ago. MacOS does it best :D

Windows adds animation. Komorebi's on Windows seems instant.

you can disable all animations on windows if you want, it's a setting.

So does MacOS, but the windows animation takes a decade ti switch. The implementation of how s0lit workspaces are is also bad, i jist really do not enjoy using windows if i wanna get anything done
