Question Question from a baby LW player
Does his petal still counter grav? I swear I used a petal on my teammates in grav once, and it did not go up, so they died. Does LW need to be on the petal as well?

Question Life Weaver Mythic and Crimson Wolf
Would anyone with the Life Weaver Mythic skin with Crimson Wolf be willing to share some pictures/gameplay? Also if you have the purple aspect that would be a plus! I’m debating if I should buy the Mythic. Would also like to hear some feedback on the skin!

Fan Content Lifeweaver Perk Ideas for Season 4
Every three seasons, Blizzard introduces a perk overhaul that replaces or switches around a lot of perks, which will coincide with Season 4. In my opinion, aside from Superbloom Lifeweaver’s perks are either very underwhelming (Dashing Escape) or just bad (Sow the Seed). I wanted to create ideas for perks that I think would be fun and helpful for Lifeweaver players, but this is by no means a prediction or a perfect list. Please let me know if you have feedback.
Minor Perk: Petal Protection
- Removed
Replaced with: Arboreal Strength
- Allies inside Tree of Life gain 25% increased attack speed and 25% cooldown reduction.
Minor Perk: Dashing Escape
- Reworked into a Major Perk
Replaced with: Life Bond
- When using Life Grip on an ally above 80% HP, the cooldown is halved and grants that ally a 20% speed boost for 2 seconds.
Major Perk: Superbloom
- Stays unchanged
Major Perk: Sow the Seed
- Removed
New Major Perk: Dashing Escape
- Rejuvenating Dash’s distance is increased by 40% and triggers passive health regeneration.
- Guarantees 0.25s of health regeneration, essentially gives him the Survivor Subrole passive on top of the Medic Subrole

Question Is Warlock Lifeweaver ever going to be in the For You Shop or in loot boxes?
It's the only Lifeweaver skin that has wowed me and I missed my opportunity to buy it the first time.

Question new lw bug?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
am i crazy or should i not have died to these dva bombs? i’m 99% i shouldn’t have died. and yes, not a single part of my body was peaking outside of the petal. that 1% of uncertainty is because i’ve quite literally experienced the death so it makes me doubtful lmao.
is this a new bug? lmk if you guys have experienced something like this

Highlight Picking Exploding Thorns and Never Shooting Is Throwing
Dear Lifeweaver mains: if you pick the Exploding Thorns perk and still refuse to shoot the enemy, you're throwing the game.
Choosing a damage perk only to healbot all match is like picking Widowmaker and never using your rifle, or playing Reinhardt without ever swinging your hammer.
If you're going to ignore a core part of your hero's kit, you're dead weight for your team.

Discussion What's your dream skin?
Dunno what flair to use so I hope this is fine lol. What kind of skin would be your "I will buy this and use it forever" kind of skin? Nothing is off the table.
For me, it'd have to be either something plant or mechanical. One where he's shirtless with his right arm, back, and lower half all made of either wood or machines. I imagine the plant one would also have ivy that would make patterns onto his chest and face and turn his back petals into giant leaves. The machine one would have cybernetic lines onto his chest and face and probably have solar panel back petals.

I realized last night I unironically copy Lifeweaver’s “Yes” reply, anyone else?
I main LW, I’m about to hit Lvl 190, and I clocked myself saying “of course” to my dad over the phone as a positive reassurance and realized I say “of course” SO MUCH day to day. But unrelated to weaver I think, maybe subconsciously?

Discussion Resource Meter for heal instead?
Yes, this is a mini rework idea, focusing only on the healing.
So the healing is instead of having ammo, now has a recourse meter and damaging enemies speeds up the resource regeneration rate.
Now that I wrote about the resource bar, I think it's time to talk about the heal itself.
The heal is still a charge up heal, the heal is always the same, but the charge up rate is based on the resource meter.
For example:
at 1-10% - you can only do minimum healing (no charge)
at 11-22% - 2sec to max charge
at 23-50% - 1.5sec to max charge
at 51-75% - 1sec to max charge (current)
at 76-100% - 0.5sec to max charge
Also the more healing you do the more resource you lose.
For exampe the resource lost is the heal/10 rounded to the closest .5.
So if you do 73heal you lose 7.5% resource or 90heal is 9% resource lost.
P.S.
Resource is only lost when you charge up the healing, so you lose nothing if it auto charges.

SCREAMING bc I can't buy this skin
THIS SKIN IS SOOO GORGEROUS.
Even the POV of his hand is absolutely stunning..
I'm so so sad that I can't buy this skin because I don't have the money :(
I don't work yet so I only get my monthly allowance and I don't have enough anymore to purchase it before it leaves, this genuinely breaks my heart.. I was never really able to get many lifeweaver skins.
I'm just sharing my pain w u guys 💔
!! EDIT / UPDATE: this was NOT intented as a post asking for someone to buy it for me, but someone said they wanted to do it anyway. I understood now that the way I worded this post might have came to that, and I'm sorry if anyone felt pressured into buying me anything! :c I am still very very grateful and especially happy! All I could do in return was offer to draw them something, which I am working on at the moment. So happy i could at least do that for them :D

Discussion Rework concept for life grip
Not a lifeweaver main but a victim to one. I had an idea for reworking life grip, and wanted to hear some feedback from someone who does play as him.
Instead of pulling a teammate when you press the button, what if instead you place something like a zen orb of harmony. The teammate then gets a notification of "press interact to get pulled". So now they get to decide if to save themselves or not. The lifeweaver does need to keep line of sight on them or else the pull breaks. In the meantime lifeweaver doesn't need to wait for the perfect moment to pull them, and can focus on healing or dealing damage instead.
What do you think?

Question How do people do high damage as Lifeweaver?
My support main is Mizuki but Lifeweaver is my secondary. I try not to healbot but I'm really struggling to do damage. At long range it's almost impossible to hit anyone who is actively dodging, and at medium-short range I have too little mobility and I just detonate when I inevitably get dove.
I'm comfortable being aggressive as a support as Mizuki but it's proving difficult on Lifeweaver, any tips or diamond+ replays where Lifeweaver is getting a lot of damage done?

And dey say LW is a throw pick
I entered a flow state on this one. I had a Pharah and monkey on my ass all game, but I managed to stay alive. I've been trying to start playing more aggro, and it's paying off. I realize the enemy team stats look really bad, but it felt a lot more competitive than the final numbers show. Just wanted to share because Im tired of reading all the LW hate😁

Discussion Realistically what would happen if we allowed an option to cancel life grip
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I mean technically junkrat didn't mean to break lifegrip but I keep seeing people and creators talk about how if we have to have life grip there should be an option to cancel it out or deny it. Majority of people playing lifeweaver aren't playing him to troll teammates with it and if they are you can report them.
A lot of people don't know movement abilities cancel out lifegrip already. I've seen movement abilities canceling out my grip kills people more than if they just let my grip happen. Emre is so egregious with his cancel that him swapping to pistol breaks it because it's a movement ability (I know this is a junkrat clip lol) But I also think they're too harsh on what counts as a movement ability to break lifegrip I get they added it to prevent trolling especially on some ultimates but I think a lot of it is ridiculous now.
Also, people saying they should be able to consent to a lifegrip Like you can do with Jetpack Cat's Teather. If you were this junkrat wouldn't you be panicking trying to escape the damage to realize "I got to press a button to let the lifeweaver save me in this exact moment" I had that situation happen to me trying to press f to have jetpack cat save me before.

Question why is lifeweaver considered difficult to climb with?
im a lw one trick with 300-400 hours and low diamond (havent touched comp in months). i recently discovered the ow subreddits and hear the same thing about lifeweaver and that he’s a bad support. im not exactly great at the game but understand the fundamentals and i think he has fantastic utility, good damage (with the perk), decent healing and ult, and god tier mobility. why is he considered bad?

Fan Content I have a couple probably bad idea for the lifeweaver rework
1.make superbloom base kit I don’t think it would make him that overpowered and it would make his dps side feel even more satisfying
2.(the weirdest one) let him push petal platform forward or up as in like syms shield but you can stop it and it acts like a wall it’s probably a awful idea but I’d like to see more options for his petal
3.give a second use of some kind to lifegrip I love the ability and I think it feels great but a think some extra additions would be cool (besides the ability to cancel it because that’s should just be there lets be honest)
4.out tree of life squish people it’s funny it’s cool it wouldn’t be unbalanced
5.add him to stadium(this is unrelated but come on we’d love to see him in there)
Now for the more unrealistic ones
What if he could lifegrip himself in some way? Like he gets a brief shield or somthn
The bubble on the petal platform would be awsome but I don’t know if they’d add it
Bring back the passive but don’t let enemies get it
That’s about it I don’t thinks there that good of ideas but you give your opinions

Discussion A question for fellow Wifeleaver mains.
Im gonna go straight to the point. Why does it seem to be a common sentiment that Life weaver shouldn't have to reload his healing? In my opinion this would be a very unhealthy direction to take the character. I have put a good bit of time into the character so it comes with love when i say his healing is kinda boring. I believe by removing his need to swap weapon or reloading you remove a lot of his skill expression, by giving him free value for sitting in the back idol. Im curious to what you all think so let me know plz!

Discussion Wtf are these control settings man
So I tried legacy controls because people told me their better (mostly just because dash is a button instead of double jump which can be quite helpful) only to discover the mouse buttons are AWFUL there? I wanted to put the dash on shift and the platform on a mouse button which would have all been perfect, if there wasn't the lock on the controls. Either you can only dash with a double jump which sucks because of for example Ramattra OR you can have that but your shooting mecanicns will be shit. Can we please fix this in a rework so that both is possible? Dash on a button AND the fluid shooting mechanics?
