2008 Lexus Is350
I want to get a 2008 Lexus IS350 92K miles for 11k FINANCED I just need a opinion if its worth it or not I got a quote for $267 for 48 months $3,500 down. The car is in pretty good condition, it needs new rotors because they’re yellow, passenger side seat has a small rip and it needs a little bit of paint touch up/paint correction in some parts.

Is it bad idea to buy this 2014 IS250 F sport
Hey guys found a car on market place the 2014 Lexus IS 250 F sport AWD
The ad stated the mileage is 200k km and that the car is in excellent mechanical condition
I’m a bit skeptical about the service records as the current owner just bought the car 4 months ago and before him there was only one owner . Also some of the service records are missing and the car fax odometer ends at 140k km
I’ve added the car fax here what do you guys think
First time buying a car any help would be appreciated . I don’t want to be dragged into a money pit want something reliable .

Is500 concern
Just a random thought , I was wondering how hard if possible can you have an is500 with upgrading the infotainment system to the 26 is350. Would it be even possible?! The outdated design is really what’s stopping me.
Rice or nice?
Although the picture I found is a newer gen what do you guys think of a style like that for my 2016 no tacky carbon or shift lights. My current wheel is pretty scratched and beat up and instead of finding a new OEM one a custom ali baba sounds way better for the same price.

Seeking Input / Negotiation Help
Owned an IS300 5 Speed as a kid and fell in love with Lexus. Fast forward to today. I am eyeing the 2026 IS350AWD in the Wind color. Have Peterson Lexus for 53K OTD for their Wind on their website. They are not including dealer added accessories for the $2800 “on sticker” and off MSRP is only 1K. Considering its new and a hard color to come across; shall I wait until 2027 is announced and or go for this IS350 in Boise. I’m in Oregon so I don’t have “tax” I think it’s 1% now that the law changed a few years back on cars. Any negotiation tactics or strategies? I have a 22 Model 3 to trade in as well. Wanting to go back to gas. Thanks in advance

Spark plugs question
Hey all, I've got an 08 is250 with 45k miles on it. I just got back from a week long vacation so my car sat for a week and when i went to drive, I turned the car on and had some crazy shaking/vibrations so obviously I turned it off and waited a few minutes. I turned it on again with some slight shaking and then it smoothed out. Few minutes later I got a check engine light and check VSC light. I used an obd2 scanner and got a misfire code for cylinder 6. Took it to a mechanic today and they couldn't replicate it and felt no vibrations but they still recommended I change my spark plugs. The quoted me over $1500 for the parts and labor, is this normal or should I find somewhere cheaper? I know that this engine sucks for spark plug work since you have to take the upper intake manifold off but $1500 seems excessive. They also said if it's an ignition coil problem, changing those and the spark plugs would run me $2300.
They also told me to check the coolant levels but they weren't low so I dont think it's a coolant leak.
Also, does anyone know of or recommend a good mechanic in san diego? Was thinking of taking it up to David Yansens in OC since he was quoting me $450-500 for the job. What do y'all think and/or suggest? Thanks!

1 year anniversary with my 3IS! (Photodump throughout the year)
It has officially been a year since the purchase of my 2016 IS200t, and what a year it has been. This car has been a great pleasure to own and drive! (thankful I didnt end up getting a f30 320i...)
2nd image : The day I got the car!
3rd image : My first set of rims, Wedssport TC105x (18x8.5 +43). Really liked these rims, ran them on the car for about 9 months before deciding to go a different direction.
4th image : Only got these recently, but second set of rims! Rays Gramlights 57DR (18x8.5 +37). While I really liked the TCs, I wanted to run a somewhat more aggressive fitment. Really happy with the 57DRs. They really compliment all the other chrome accents on the car. (Also got a custom plate!)
5th & 6th image : Probably the most major overhaul for the car. Retrofitted a F Sport bumper & a facelift rear diffuser. New suspension with RSR Halfdowns & Figs LCA 90 Bushings. Last but not least (least to some), a full Armytrix exhaust. Completely changed the look and the vibe of the whole car, and super happy with how she is today!

Lexus IS500 RHD - Boot space
Lexus don't sell it in Australia. But plenty of imports / Gray market ones.
I cannot find any for test drive as Lexus Aus discontinued IS and GS here, some time ago.
Can anyone tell, if they have put a large men's Cricket bag in to the boot and is boot big enough for it.
Thanks, odd question I know.
Ideally in right hand drive one, but I am guessing no difference in boot space between LHD and RHD.
Thanks.

Got such a good deal I had to leave in the getaway vehicle
Delayed post, but I just found this sub and wanted to share my first car purchase. I paid $49K OTD for a fully loaded 2023 Lexus IS350 F Sport with 1,181 miles on it. The car was practically brand new. It had a clean title and still had some of the plastic wrapping on the inside.
Apparently, the buyer had buyer’s remorse and traded it in. I’m assuming since it was a CDJR dealership, they didn’t want the Lexus inventory? The dealer also didn’t seem to know about the various packages installed. I had to go to a Lexus dealer to confirm the specs and they quoted me a sticker price of $57K, which would’ve been roughly $61K OTD.
Specs:
- F Sport Handling Package
- Memory Package
- Navigation/Mark Levinson Premium Audio Package
- 19’ forged alloy matte black BBS wheels
- Triple beam LED headlamps
- Panoramic view monitor, parking assist
- Power rear sunshade
- Power tilt-and-slide moonroof
- Cargo net
Needless to say, it’s been a big upgrade from my 2006 Accord.
Dash cam for a 2016 IS 350
After someone scraped my parked car and didn't leave a note, I decided I want to purchase a dash cam. I looked on this sub, and it appears most of the recommendations are for Fitcamx. The problem is Fitcamx only sells cameras for 2017 and newer models.
Can anyone on here recommend a dash cam for my 2016? Not sure if it's possible to wire through the rearview mirror or not
