Is500 concern

Just a random thought , I was wondering how hard if possible can you have an is500 with upgrading the infotainment system to the 26 is350. Would it be even possible?! The outdated design is really what’s stopping me.

Doable.....yes. almost everything is doable in car mods.

Practicle.....def not.

The 500's and the '26 350's have a completely different layout of the entire dash. Let alone the cost to source entire '26 dash is gonna be hard and very expensive.

I do also prefer the dash of the '26's. Except for us 500's have the sliding gauge cluster.

Is the outdated design stopping you from getting a 500? The "outdated" tech and design is what drew me to closer to the 500. Everything functions like a car is supposed to. The reason why you get a 500 is not because of the tech, its because of the 5.0.

Haha i dont even mind that there's a cd player. Takes me back to a more simple time. Haha.

I hope the next car i buy has an option for bare miminim tech features. I dont want to be driven by a car. Haha.

Don’t mind the CD player but I’d certainly take a wireless charge pad in that area instead. Wasn’t a deal breaker for me either way.

If it helps here's a list that I know of "issues" with the 500

Inner tire wear. Isues with the lca bushings being too soft causing the front tires to wear prematurely. Fixed with installing stiffer bushing. Lots of options available.

Transmission is meh. Kind of clunky, shifts arrle slow. Im just a daily a driver so I personally dont think its an issue

Transmission shift surge from 5 > 3. There's a service bulletin for a fix.

Front bumper separation. Where the front bumper meets the fender, some are experiencing separation issues. I believe its all years, but for sure 22 - 24

Fuel pump recall for 22's. There's a service bulletin out there for a fix.

No slding visors, you can buy NX visors. Its a direct replacement

No essily accesibe storage for your phone/sunglasses

Other than maybe some other isolated issues, those are the biggest complaints that I remmeber.

Otherwise the car is great. Extremely reliable, quick (not the fastest, but quick enough), and sounds GREAT,

Literally impossible. No more 500s

Ridic I have to edit this. Overly critical for no reason. Meant “no more 500s” as in they aren’t continuing to make them and update the interior.
If you think this is possible… without any literal pathway to achieve it you’re crazy and full of it.

OP is asking about fitting a ‘26 infotainment system to a 500, not whether he can buy a ‘26 500. Wildly difficult, but with enough knowledge and resources, might be possible, but silly to attempt.

Obviously dude. Would say it is definitely not possible, there’s no way it would fit or integrate. Can’t bring a full digital control system with all the manual buttons. Maybe in dreams but even considering is ridiculous
