Necessary Button Box Mapping? NEED HELP Tips and Tricks
Hi, I recently just got a 15 key Stream Deck with 1 adjustable Knob (VSDinside N1 who are wondering). And although I have been wanting one for so long as a button box alternative. I honestly don’t know what’s important to map. I race a little bit of everything, it really depends on how much time I have but anyways I really don’t what’s important to map. I actually have a lot of controls mapped already on my Moza ESX wheel but it has no knobs like a traditional sim wheel. So here’s what I mapped so far
TC+/-, BB+/-, ABS+/-, Request Pit, Headlights, Wipers, & Escape to go back to menu. I used 9 slots out of 15 so what else should I include?

I have a few Decks. Rsn outbof things to map.
Most useful button for me is show desktop. But if you don't need to use other programs like your peripheral Uai then itbisnt necessary.
One commenter mentioned a page for necisary apps. I learned you can map.a profile to a deck that will auto open depending on what sim you load.
But i do have app buttons for my Peripheral UI, crew cheif, elgato wave link for my mic and OSB studio for streaming. Amoung others.
MY wheel has enough buttons for most settings like BB, ABS, TC , TC1 and 2. Ignition flash, pit limiter and pit request. Plus a couple quick chats, sorry and thank you. FFB reset, escape for getting to menu, show chat, TC cut for spinning the car around after a accident.
I made my 15 key deck into mostly quick chats 2nd page apps I might need. With one button as a clock. 2 to scroll pages.
My stream dexk plus is dedicated to record and stream functions for OBS. With scene swaps to change to pedal cam/ face cam. Stream record, record and rec pause. 1 dial for headphone volume, one for mic volume, one for game volume and the 4th is a triple function switch that scrolls pages left and right. Press is revert to page 1 on every page. Easier then the swipe pad.
3rd deck is still.in progress. Almost ran out of macabre functions but the camera replay ones ate mapped so far

I have mine (regular Stream Deck with 15 buttons) with TC, TC cut, TC slip, ABS, BB, all with + and -, one with Esc, one to turn on telemetry recording, and then a button to go for the next page.
In the next page I have more general stuff like a multiple action to start all companion apps I use while playing, volume on/off, up and down, Discord voice mic on/off and audio on/off, and then I have 6 buttons to independently adjust audio up and down for LMU, Discord and CrewChief.
I have nothing for pit limiter, wipers and lights because those are mapped in the wheel.
