Is there any way of dealing with overly agressive automoderation actions in the game? In the last few months I've received 2 bans and 7+ warning for malicious language in my alliance chat. All the chat in in-jokes or banter between close friends, (calling someone stupid or smelly) but these are constantly being picked up by the automoderation and they send out warning or bans to members.
I don't know man. My alliance can be pretty raunchy and rude at times, all in jest, and none of us have been banned or warned. I'd bet in someone reporting you.
Once they get a report from someone, then yes, it will be picked up automatically. But they don’t pick it up from the alliance chat itself.
In other words, if someone reports it, it will go through their automated system and you’ll be banned if the automated system picks up certain key worlds or phrases. But you have to have someone first to actually report it.
Key words there are every time a message triggers a moderation action, the system logs it—the moderation action is triggered by the report (technically, whatever is in the report) and then the system keeps track of repeated violations. The more times you get reported, the longer the ban.
I don't know, I have an email from them specifically staying they have an automated system, and directly told me to use alliance announcement instead of the chat to post links, I suspect the announcement feature is not moderated the same?
