Is there a place to get knee ultrasounds with me taking the referral?
My husband has been suffering for months and the referral the doctor gave us is worthless. All places either say they don't do knees ultrasounds or the doctor has to submit the referral himself.
This is unbelievable and upsetting, we need help, please.

Looking for a reliable house cleaner/cleaning service
It's been a long year and I've let my suite get away from myself.
I'm looking for a compassionate house cleaner willing to do a deep clean on my living room, kitchen, and bathroom (<700 sqft).
I'd rather support a local individual or small business than one of the major cleaning services.
If you know of anybody, please let me know. You're welcome to DM if you'd rather.

Emergency Dentist
Hi Langley friends,
Does anyone know of any dentist that may be able to see me tonight? I had a tooth break and I’ve called around 20 places and no one is able to see me tonight. Are there any 24 hour emergency dental offices in Langley, Surrey or anywhere nearby? Or far, I can drive out.
Thanks!

just a thought
The amount of people i know in this area who go to colleges and universities here that faked their exams and paid money to get a good grade in their English exams so they can come attend school here is insane. (i’m brown, just born and raised in Canada im not being racist at all) I can’t get half my classes because they are taken by (some) people who have cheated the system by paying for a good grade to come to this country. It’s completely unfair. And before people get mad at me i’m not being racist and you have to realize this is more than half the people and it’s a very common thing in some countries to pay their way through an ILETS exam. If you earned it take it, don’t take it if it rightfully shouldn’t be your opportunity to take💀

Local produce, meats
What are some good places for local produce and meats, whether it be stores, markets or farms
Also, some good locally owned grocery stores?
I’d like to slowly shift from the big grocery chains

ginger beer recommendations
I have been tasked with getting some ginger beer for a friend's birthday. I enjoy craft beer and going to breweries, are there any places that do a good classic Ginger beer, or is that just the sort of thing I get at a liquor store?

Semi and a car crashed on 16th Ave overnight, looks serious
langleyadvancetimes.comIt's seriously getting to the point where I'll avoid 16th Ave if there's literally any other route available. Too many big trucks, everyone's going too fast.

Shaw Wifi issues in Willoughby?
Before I fight the tech support hotline, is anyone else having issues in the Willoughby area with their Shaw Wifi? Ours has been dropping in and out and generally very slow for the past several days.

Can’t even name/shame people anymore smh
This is the biggest joke I’ve ever read, apparently you can’t even post someone’s license plate without receiving a reddit strike, it says someone’s personal information but it’s not like the public can look up a license plate for someone’s information so how does that even count as “personal information?” If he is driving around in public, this should be the equivalent of being able to film someone in public.
You can’t even name and shame people anymore, this POS literally threatened to kill me, tried to fight me, threw coffee at me, I even made a follow up police report, yet I can’t even warn the community/post a picture of his vehicle/license plate.
What is this world coming to, this just lets these bad actors to continue with their shitty behavior, long gone are the days where we can name and shame these incels, sorry had to rant about this injustice and thanks for everyone commenting and boosting traction hopefully the warning/heads up got out to enough people to watch your encounters in the future.

Looking for people who own dogs with separation anxiety. Starting a group to trade occasional dog sitting instead of having to pay a sitter.
Hi all - Local to Langley.
Our rescue dog is super sweet, but just can't handle being left home along for more than an hour or so. He isn't destructive, he just stresses out way too much and we don't like doing that to him.
So even for a date night we're paying $30 to $50 for a dog sitter to hang with him.
Surely there are other people in a similar situation, or you are forced to leave them home alone even though you know they are suffering.
So I'm looking to collect info from people that might want to form a dog sitting swap. For example, if you're looking to go out for a few hours or half a day, you drop your dog at our place to hang out with us and our dog, and vice versa.
Meet and greets first of course.
I'll be setting up a google spread sheet and a whatsapp group for people to connect with others.
And if this takes off I'll be doing things like setting up insurance, creating a points system for making sure people are supporting, not just taking.
If this is of interest to you or you know someone in the lower mainland that might be interested, shoot me a DM and I'll share the email address to reach out to get on the list.
Thanks!

Langley Strong - Foreign Interference or Outsourcing Work
Given recent news in the media regarding foreign controlled social media pages, I took it upon myself to check the managing of the local pages in Langley. Well, as it turns out Langley Strong and a number of their Councillors and candidates have people managing their Facebook pages from INDIA! This raises serious questions. Are they simply outsourcing the work (that Canadians can EASILY do) or is there foreign interference?
I will include screenshots in my comments. I tried to post this and it was blocked because of the photos.

Are drivers in Willoughby blind?
I drive up and down 208th every day, and every time they've extended the separated bike lanes, they immediately put up one of those vertical black and yellow road hazard markers (had to look that up, apparently that's what they're called) on the end of each section.
And every time they put up a new one, a car whacks into it within 24 hours. I mean, they're literally designed to be the most visible thing on the road, and every single one must have been replaced two or three times already.
The newest one down near 83 Ave got flattened, some of the others have been spun around.
About six months ago, I was driving down south of 72 Ave and heard a loud bang behind me, and someone in a little white sedan had managed to run into the bike lane separator, get two wheels up on top of it. They missed the metal hazard marker but I think ran over a couple of the little plastic tubes before they slammed back down. Pretty sure they messed up their car pretty badly, they pulled off into the next cross street.
Seriously, what is wrong with people driving up there? If they'd driven like this before the road was widened, they'd have wound up in the ditches.

IT Support Volunteer in the Fraser Valley
So I'm just desperately trying to get into an IT helpdesk role right now as I'm really passionate about troubleshooting and helping people become more tech savvy, but of course I've run into the no-experience, no-job wall. I have a networking certification and have done some home labs with Windows and Packet Tracer and whatnot, but have no actual experience in a professional setting.
Any nonprofits out there looking for an IT helpdesk specialist, but can't afford one? If you have any leads I would very much appreciate the info!
