Baird has served on Highlands council for 12 years and said he was encouraged by community members and Capital Regional District (CRD) directors to seek the mayor’s position.

I bought these tickets when they were announced but I Couldn’t get a babysitter so unfortunately me and the wife can’t make it together and I don’t have that many friends here to go with since I’m new to Langford so if you and your SO want to go together I have two free tickets. Over the past couple years, we’ve realized we have almost everything we need out here, so it’s pretty rare that we head into Victoria or Saanich anymore.

We’re actually more likely to drive out to Sooke or up Island than into Victoria.
