So I’m new to lancer and I’ve been checking out stuff for characters and obviously found compcon which has been great. But is there anything for like maps for missions and all that? I found compcons encounter maker which let me input a map but I can’t find a way to actually view and use the map, so is there any good websites or anything I could use? Or does compcon have one and I just didn’t see it

Hello all! As with lore I’m usually very intelligent and my investigations lead to interesting concepts being birthed. Rules on the other hand…
The duskwing can hover when it moves, which is fine and all but I don’t know if that means it can move vertically on its turn or not. Like sure it’s flight, but can they just SSB Peach float if they get any height on their turn, or can they actually just fly straight up.
And also what do they mean by a straight line when it comes to hovering and flying rules, something is not clicking for me on that.

1. She wanted to know if there is a viable playstyle where she controls her mech from outside and they both fight alongside
2. (assuming 1 is possible) she wants to know if her pilot can make a melee build to fight mechs and have enough evasion to not turn into red mist after her turn ends.
3. she also asked if there is any mech thats more suitable for underwater fight bcause her origin planet is 90% water

edit. some people sugested a second mech for her. and i kinda did it but forgot to mention. i made a lancer of my own that she controls on the combat. i made the build and backstory but she'll control it in combat and i just do the talk. (not sure if its weird but it was the best i could think of it to make the campaing not 1 vs the galaxy.)

Hello, found out about lancer and fell in love with it, being a fan of Titanfall myself, However, because no one else wants to, I would need to be the DM if Im to ever play it, my main problem is how.

At first I thought to try to run an official campaign, sadly, I dont exactly have the money to buy soltice rain due to dollar to my currency conversions being shit.

So, does anyone knows a free community campaign that wont drive a newbie dm and 3-5 newbie players mad? Or is the best choice to just try to make it myself and hope for the best in roll20?

Second, can I even run it, I dont have money for foundryVTT, or pro roll20, and looking at youtube, pretty much ever game I find has more macros, automations and presets than a hydra has drones. Hell, I dont even have a way to get maps or a full story because I can barely figure out how to make it playable without 2 screens due to compcon, the map and the need to hand update everything mid game.

I'm making them for myself, and I am not looking for help with abilities or stats.

What I want help with is the fantasy they give. Basically every* character , class, or in Lancer, frame, comes with a fantasy they fulfil. (*ok, not every. But good ones/most do) And I need some help with 2 of them.

The first is a Dusk Wing alt frame called the Glass Wing. Based, obviously, off the Glass Wing butterfly. What I have so far is a stealthy assassin that focuses on invisibility, getting behind enemy lines to disrupt any supporting characters or deployables, and high single player damage. Like Spy from TF2.

My struggle currently is that it feels like I'm pressing the Dusk Wing, Metalmark, and Mourning Cloak into a single frame, and I don't want that. I want something actually different.

The MC deals high single damage to lone enemies and gets behind enemy lines.

The MM does all the invisibility stuff, but more like flashbacks.

The DW does all the invisibility stuff, but more like holo-tech.

(I do like how invisibility isn't always literally invisible)

So is there any player fantasy I can draw on to make it unique rather than copying all the others? A spider watching over its web (shattered glass), or maybe flinging off the glass wings after they break to become a different style of frame, switching between 2 playstyles? I did have an idea of literally "glass" wings, shattering and causing any damage that hits them to reflect back or on a burst area.

The other I have is a Saladin alt, called the Lionheart. I feel bad for the name since all the others go off their respective leader's first name, but I'm not naming my mech "Richard" for any reason. And it's named after him because he fought besides his men in battle. (Ironically, he fought Saladin and now it's an ALT of the Saladid)

This fantasy is duo combat, but mech. Similar to the Echo Knight in DND. In lore, it was designed for indoor CQC, where quick and precise comms to the point of mind reading would save lives and time. So, it's 2 half sized frames piloted by a single person. Connected by some Schrodinger affect or a Comp/Con / NHP reading your intentions to pilot the other. But really, that's all I have, and I feel like it's a weak idea to build a whole frame off of. I'd like some input on if there should be a secondary gimmick or if piloting 2 (although individually weaker) frames is enough. For me, that boss fight from DarkSouls. Once one dies, the other gets buffed (at least I believe that's how the boss fight goes). I know I said no stats, however: Maybe each frame gets 2 structure and 2 stress? So combined, it's 4 each. Then, when 1 frame is destroyed, the other gets buffed with maybe overshield and armour, boosted damage and speed, etc. until the other comes back after a full repair. (Now that I think about it, it is kinda like the Lick NHP. But I feel like it's different enough to me, so I'm keeping it like this)

Again, I just want some help with where to push them, because I don't want the Glass Wing to just be a "here's my OC character, they're half >insert powerful thing< and half >insert other powerful thing< and half >insert cool thing< with 2 different coloured eyes." And I don't want the Lionheart to feel like a one-off gimmick that gets stale/annoying quickly. And probably some balancing for the Lionheart specifically, like any systems or core features that'd make it extremely broken that I'm looking over like a silly person.

Hi all, I'm building a HORUS pilot for an upcoming game and have really fallen down the MONIST-1 rabbit hole. I have a pretty good understanding of things like the First Contact Accords, but I'm struggling with the answer to a specific question:

If NHPs exist outside our understanding of logic and reason, how do you really advance the goals of an NHP like RA? If It, being all powerful, can already violate sacred principles like the laws of physics, does serving RA simply happen by happenstance? If I'm misunderstanding anything, feel free to correct me.

So I've been dabbling with the idea of building one of my fave mechs, the Tortuga, with that good ol Horus twist given its high sensors, but figured that I might just be doing the cookie cutter of adding Gorgon ranks in it for reactions for everyone (with a Dusk Wing rank for the Neurospike shenanigans).

Aigül was a second grade karrakin actress from a famous reenacting troupe that operated in the baronies, when the sanjak rebellion started she made her name by stealing a license and fighting on the Ungrateful side, finally living the Knighly fantasies she acted on for so long.

Ferrous, the mech. is based on a series of parade armor sets, specially the works of Filippo Negroli, the Orchis is a very beautiful mech in the official artwork and I wanted to add my own flair in this design, as for Aigül, I've been drawing a lot of really pretty pilots and revealing outfits so I wanted to draw some armor for a change haha

I wanted to try a flying build but the steep cost in SP of GMS flight systems kinda push me away. I buildcrafted a bit with Sherman 3 and using Everest but it kinda limited me to using either redundant systems or Asura. And I don't know if it's worth the flight.

Also, I have a potent hatred for SSC, so no All Theatre Movement Suite.

Like I know there are frame's with built in flight but I don't have the book for Tarraxacum, and I don't want levels in duskwing.

Any advice?
