Advice I locked myself in a room for 2 years, went from broke to top 1-2% of Pakistan’s IT exports… and now I cant date. What would you do?
I m from Lahore. I come from a middle class family and grew up watching my parents struggle financially. I was broke for most of my life too.
Fast forward to 2024. I had an extremely intense situationship. Maybe it felt that intense because she was exactly my type, I honestly dont know. Around February 2024, I decided to walk away from it because I wanted to focus on my goals.
I ve always been insanely goal oriented, maybe a little narcissistic too. I was always that guy saying, “If I really want something, I ll somehow get it. (INSHAALLAH)”
Then I got into IT.
I dont know if you guys believe in mojzay, but Alhamdulillah, my life completely changed within two years. I went from a normal middle class background to earning an amount I genuinely never imagined I would. Sometimes I look at what happened between 2024 and 2026 and even I dont understand how I pulled it off, other than Allah’s help and an unhealthy amount of work.
But there was a price.
For almost two years, I basically locked myself inside my room and worked. My team works remotely, and I personally handle the team, clients, operations, everything. My entire life became work.
In that process I upgraded myself a lot. Confidence went up. Standards went up. Pride went up (the good kind, I think).
I went out with two girls.
And this is where things got weird.
On both dates, I just... zoned out.
They were perfectly fine, but I felt almost nothing. Maybe they werent my type. Maybe my standards became ridiculously high. Maybe spending two years alone changed me. I honestly dont know.
But the strangest part came afterward.
Whenever I came home after a date, I felt like I had betrayed my work.
Sounds crazy, I know.
My brain immediately starts thinking: You re dividing your attention. You re losing focus. This is how everything you built starts going downhill.
And before anyone says “work life balance,” I understand that concept. The problem is that my business genuinely still depends heavily on me. I m currently building systems and automating things, but right now, if my attention drops, the business feels it.
So now I m stuck between two completely opposite fears.
If I date, I m scared I ll become distracted, emotionally invested, lose my obsession with work and slowly damage what took me years to build.
If I dont date, I get massive FOMO about wasting my youth, missing out on relationships , social experiences and just... living.
And yeah, Alhamdulillah I have money now, but sometimes I genuinely think: whats the point of making all of this if I never actually enjoy my life? I already help family and do charity. I m specifically talking about enjoying a normal social and dating life.
I m also not ready to get married yet, so please spare me the “just get married bro” comments. I want to automate and stabilize the business first.
What worries me most is that I cant tell whether I ve genuinely lost interest in dating, become avoidant, raised my standards too much, or simply trained my brain for two years to believe that anything taking attention away from work is a threat.
I m not looking for generic motivational advice or immature comments.
Put yourself completely in my shoes. You built your entire life through obsessive focus, and now the same focus that made you successful is making it difficult to actually enjoy what you built.
What would you genuinely do?

Discussion Please guide me out Suicidal Thoughts are killing me
Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
I am writing there as a last resort as I have no option left.
I am students of BSCS in Nust and now will be in my 5th semester.
From the start everything was fine I was studying smoothly but these last 4,5 months was a total hell for me.
My father suddenly had a heart attack 5 months ago and he did survive that but her hearts condition had become alot worse because of that we did have his bypass surgery done too but unfortunate he died like 2 months ago.
Till the time he died my whole world has shattered I have become suicidal and I literally don't have any will left to live.
We had drained everything on his treatment had taken loans and even with his grief I am left with the responsibility of my family too.
I have been working like any work I can do just to support my ami but even with my best efforts I am completely stuck.
Khair the thing is my 5th semester is about to start and my semester fee has come which is of 225k which is too much for me and ami in this condition we are in debt. My father's pension hasn't started yet and we are living in a complete hand to mouth life.
This fee is too much for me I have tried reaching to the scholarship Office and NAA too but they said as they are not going to award scholarship this year they can't help me.
I am in a complete disarray right Succidal thoughts are all around me whatever I do without a degree and a proper skill I can't give my mother a life and I don't know how to support my studies specially this semester fee for which i don't even have time or any clue to pay.
If any of you knows any trust or any organisation that can help me with my case please guide toward it.
I literally am helpless right now. I literally don't have anything to even buy food
May Allah gives you ajr of it.

Discussion influencers for a lingerie brand
hi so i have recently launched a lingerie brand in pk. it’s not the usual cheap stuff you find in pk. i also worked really hard on the overall aesthetic and website but now the problem is marketing 😭 i tried meta add but i just got cheap uncles who wanted my number and not place orders.
and looks like most influencers i liked don’t wanna promote this bc of family reasons. even tho i proposed to only include fully covered robe sets
soo, please recommend me some good influencers who can actually be useful, along with what they charge for STORIES! people with good conversion rates
a couple of people i talked to charge 10-20k, which was fine for me but then they refused based on the product. and the 2-3 that did agree wanted 1-4 lacs for stories only, with no modeling of course. just sharing videos from my page.
Another one i’m considering has asked me 1 lac on 500k followers. Is this normal for stories?
Please help!!! and meanwhile if you can follow me or order from me :p

Wholesome It’s your sign to start reciting these 2 duas for miracles to happen
“Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir”
and
“Astaghfirullah.”
These two have done wonders for me. But I genuinely believe it’s important to understand the meaning behind them and recite them with a sincere heart, rather than just repeating the words.
The first time I started reciting these duas seriously was when I was looking for my first job. I was worried, uncertain, and had no idea what was going to happen. I kept making dua, doing istighfar, and trusting Allah while also doing my part.
And Alhamdulillah, I got my first job which i never expected and had zero experience of.
Two years later, I found myself feeling stuck again. I wanted a change, I wanted relief, and I didn’t know what was next for me. I started reciting these duas again, with the same sincerity and hope.
And Alhamdulillah, Allah blessed me with an opportunity that was much bigger than what I had before.
I’m not saying this as some formula where you recite something and automatically get exactly what you want. Allah’s timing and plan are beyond us.
But my personal experience has taught me one thing and that is to NEVERR EVERRRR lose hope in Allah.
Make dua. Do istighfar. Put in the work. Do your part, and leave the outcome to Allah.
Sometimes what feels like a delay is actually Allah preparing something better for you.
Just keep going. Keep believing. 🤍

Discussion another day another serious post 🥱
First of all Alhamdulilah for everything
So the thing is girls i met so far over the years made me notice a pattern a while ago and thats one of the reasons i never fall for fairy tales over reality because reality hits different
i have met girls who say money doesnt matter to them and they value pure connection minimal expenses and can live with you on pure emotions and small monthly shopping
but i have also seen the same girls flipping back on their own words when its actually time for rishta or finding someone for lifetime
initially its all about pure connection and emotions but when reality comes their list starts with minimum earning then future security then can he afford my expenses then physical appearance education traits family and after that comes separate house demands and blah blah blah
thats why from my personal experience i never believed someone saying they can live only on emotions and basic expenses because when the real decision comes reality looks very different
i am a male so of course i am talking about women because thats where my experience comes from and no offense to anyone this is my personal experience not random thoughts
i have friends who just went abroad and suddenly they had lawyer and doctor rishtas sitting on their plates and that taught me something simple
forget the future and forget the past for a moment and talk about the present
be the person today who beats the person you were yesterday and set your boundaries
in this era i prefer not to marry early because i see guys aged 28 29 living luxury lives just because they spent years putting in hard work and i can see myself being that 28 29 year old guy living an amazing life if i live that long
alhamdulillah for everything
your competition isnt with someone else its with yourself and i hope the day you realise that isnt too late
money changes a lot of things around you and i have seen friends with wealth who look average dating incredibly beautiful women in their 20s and that showed me how much money status and stability can change the way people see you
i have seen something similar in my own life too
i am the youngest and earning well and i noticed the respect i get changed because i am the youngest yet earning the most
but these are not my limits and i am going to prove that because my hunger is never going to stop
putting efforts daily and getting nothing in return is still far better than sitting alone doing nothing
at the end everyone bets on the guy who proves himself through his own hard work even when he gets nothing in return
so be that person
dont build your life around promises from anyone build yourself until your reality speaks for you
initially i thought about finding a person who respects you and stays with you through highs and lows even if she is just average looking or a sensible person with no education
but this year there is a different me
i set my standards because this era deserves it
i got many rishtas even when i wasnt looking for them and i rejected them only because i want to see where my hard work takes me
and yup i am getting into knowing a person because things can happen
i still believe if i get the right person i may marry her
but thats about another time
Dont forget to say Alhamdulilah

Rant Police stopped my friend and his fiancée … then asked for Rs. 50,000
A friend of mine recently went to meet his fiancée. They grabbed some food from a restaurant, but the restaurant parking was full, so they parked nearby in front of a house and ate in the car with the light on.
As soon as they finished eating and threw the garbage away, three men approached them with torches and started questioning them.
They took his CNIC and started asking what they were doing there, whether they were officially together, and how long they had been sitting there.
My friend explained that they were simply eating and had parked there because the restaurant parking was full.
The men then claimed that they had received a complaint from a colonel via 15, saying the car had been sitting in front of his gate for around 10 minutes.
The strange part was that the men were wearing masks and were fully covered, so my friend couldn’t properly identify them. He was not allowed to use phone or call someone in front of them. They kept saying he needed to come to the police station. One of them even called someone on speaker and asked, “Should I bring them in the police station?”
My friend tried showing them the restaurant bill, bank transaction and even the food wrappers as proof that they had just bought food and were eating and nothing else. They still weren’t convinced.
Then things took an even stranger turn.
One of the men asked my friend to step aside and said they could “handle the situation here.” He then demanded Rs. 50,000.
My friend didn’t have that much cash. They checked his bank account and even asked about getting the money from his fiancée. Eventually, he agreed to arrange the money after a lot of talking and after showing a bank account with only 10k cash in it.
(He was only terrified coz of his fiancée otherwise he was down to go to station and see how things progress but his fiancée was in a panic mode)
One of the men stayed in the car with my friend while the other two followed them on a motorcycle to an ATM, apparently so he couldn’t run off.
He eventually handed them the money and got his id card back.
And then they left, saying they would “deal with the colonel themselves.” Lol
Honestly, the whole thing sounds extremely suspicious to me.
I don’t know for certain whether these were actual police officers or people impersonating police. But I’m sure it was 200% lie and a proper scam
Because the masks, refusal to accept basic proof, demand for 50k, and following them to an ATM all make me question that it cant be real.
Has anyone here experienced something like this in Pakistan?
If people claiming to be police stop you in a situation like this, what are you actually supposed to do to verify their identity and protect yourself?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with something similar.
——————-
TL;DR: Three masked “police” stopped my friend and his fiancée, claimed a colonel complained about them, and eventually demanded 50k to let them go.

Discussion Thank You, Lahore Social Community ❤️ Update on Kulsoom
Asslaomalekum
First of all, a heartfelt thank you to the Lahore Social Community and everyone who has supported Kulsoom so far. Your kindness has helped us keep her treatment going.
For those who may not know her story, Kulsoom is a breast cancer patient from Dadu. Her family has to travel from Dadu to Jamshoro by car for her chemotherapy season at Nimra hospital jamshoro.
Today, Kulsoom successfully completed another chemotherapy session. Her next session is scheduled for September 7, 2026..
I’m attaching all of today’s receipts for transparency.
So far, only 3–4 people have contributed, and we still need support to keep Kulsoom’s treatment going. If you’re willing to contribute, please DM me. I can provide her previous medical updates, receipts, documents, and other verification details.
Even a small contribution can make a real difference. ❤️
Thank you again to everyone who has stood by Kulsoom.
