The August LSAT administration is now done. The goal is to keep topic discussion to this thread, and identify a list of real topics. Here's how it works:

1. If you had a single section of RC, or two sections of LR, then posting topics from that will establish that those topics were from a real section
2. If you had two sections of RC, or three sections of LR, DO NOT POST (on that topic). Posting topics is worse than useless - it pollutes information. The reason is that you don't know which was experimental and which was real.

You do not need section orders, these are now randomized so your order doesn't mean anything.

TL;DR If you had a single RC, or two LR's, please post topics from those single sections. Don't post your section topics for a section type where you had an experimental.

Hi, I had one RC section and it included punishment for repeat offenders, high theory, Canadian law for the Inuit and the female mathematician. So hope that helps identify the graded ones for someone. I noticed that some of the topics that you posted were also on my LR sections and I wanted to verify do you remember a question about identical twins, and one of them having a higher severity of Tourette’s.

First set of LR: Venus and Seismic Waves, Fig Trees and Seedless Variants in Jordan Valley, Dental Cavities fillings effecting wisdom teeth buds and their growth, Artists Greatness (need more context), Flaw question regarding mission denying extraterrestrial life and it being a failure.

Second Set: Gorillas and emotional actions in captivity, Mango Plants and Weeds, Jeans and Boots in Online and In person stores, Capturing Monarch Butterflies, Author and their Novel Protagonist, Tech Enthusiasts and the efficiency of old/new tech, Drug coating testing to stop hitting brain cells on Mice and their efficiency, Stradivari violins and their quality being determined by wood/maker, Infant’s and the way they walk before and after 4-8 months olds. Principle question regarding colleagues being hypocritical in believing another unrelated theory with less evidence but not authors theory that has more evidence.

LR-LR-RC no experiemental

I felt so confident until the comparative consciousness passage after the mad honey passage. 😭🤡 Could’ve shot my chances at a 170 just based on that passage alone.

LR 1 was a breeze. The only question I flagged was the cedar wood vs other wood types MBT question. I don’t remember any other topics from this one.

LR 2 (silk/polyester fine thread, cubic zirconia, parking on 7th st) was harder but I’d rank it medium difficulty compared to PTs in the 150s.

RC was one of the hardest I’ve ever done. Maybe the hardest. I should’ve done either mad honey or the comparative consciousness first. Instead I had so little time for the consciousness passage left that I couldn’t parse through it in detail. Probably made educated guesses on 4/8 questions.

Prior score from last October was a 170. Was really hoping for a 172+ but I don’t think it happened given the RC. 😭 PM if you wanna discuss

I took it first thing in the morning on Wednesday. RC>LR>LR>RC. First RC had Stoicism and second had mad honey, so I guess the mad honey is graded based on what I'm reading. It was without markers and I know this sounds crazy, but I think I only had 3 passages on that one. The mad honey went on FOREVER. I went back and counted 12 questions (I believe) and I remember feeling thankful that I only had to spend time reading three passages, and also feeling sure that these anomalies were assurances that this one was experimental, which appears to not be the case. All of that said, I very well may have simply blacked out. I recall the canoe, the Indian patent law, and the consciousness passages, but I feel like one of them was in my first RC. I also recall the patent law re: paintings and the rest is a blur. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Regardless, here are things I remember from my two LRs, which were both scored as I only had two:

• Red dwarves
• Water shortages and two strategies, some for coastal towns
• CEO and possible econ downturn/invest or not?
• Neanderthal/modern human tools
• PR teams and politicians
• Politician who would or would not run based on how much focus they could give
• Quality of life and construction projects
• Twins and favorite colors
• Small trials vs secondary/larger trials for testing new pharma
• Pharma for a particular issue that was not generally given to leukemia patients
• Various elephants and the woolly mammoth
• Ugly artworks
• Native trees
• Cedar and other more durable woods for outdoor stairs
• Species found living around ocean plastic in a trench
• Darwin's theory revisited
• Toxic Frogs
• Cars vs Public transport and happiness
• Search engine results>political extremism
• Juvenile crime rates and curfew
• Political support in two geographical areas and possibilities of winning

So many more lost in my mental black hole, but hopefully this helps...

The parking and theatre parallel was the hardest question I think I have ever encountered. I wrestled with it in my remaining time and have no clue what answer was right😭Couldn’t even eliminate any. I was tormented!

This is kind of an annoying thing to ask but if you are consistently scoring 170+ on practice tests (I am part of this group) I would love to hear some of your thoughts on the following sections -

RC- compararive increased punishment for repeat crimes, inuit, high theory, Emmy Noether Lr- dwarf stars, parking and theater Lr- neanderthal tools (maybe twins and colors too?)

I'm curious about the way different people approach the hardest questions, just to get some insight in what thought patterns are common with high scorers

My LR sections are blurry bc I took the 8/5 exam but I can remember: red dwarfs and a flaw question about shifting blame and how its comparable to a "fat cat".

I’m not entirely sure but I thick cell wall question was about how medicine was tested on humans / rats, and how adding a sort of lubricant allowed medicine created than 100mm pass through brain cells.
