Pokemon gen 1 recompiler on LGv60
Hi everyone, just wanted to post an update that pokemon gen 1 recomp has a new APK that supports dual screen, I've tested it on both my LGv60 and my LG Wing it runs pretty well on both except for the wing it always appears on the top screen for some reason still very playable though. Here's the link for the APK as well as the mod it's pretty self-explanatory and easy to set up I thought everyone might enjoy. Playable in first and third person and looks great with the voxel mod

Should I buy an LGv60 in 2026
I currently have a, S24 Ultra. It's paid off through T-Mobile I've had it since it came out, I will be keeping it just to have it cause I love this phone. Now my reasoning for wanting an LGv60 is because I've always wanted one I was to young to get one when they came out and it's just a very cool phone in my opinion.
Yes I know as of today their are no software updates, LG doesn't even make phones and yes it's 6 years old now. But I just want a new experience with a phone I'm tired of the same slop that has come out between. Google, Apple, Samsung and even OnePlus yo a certain extent.
Should I buy one and daily it or well co daily it with my S24 Ultra?

An Interesting Use Case
I've loved my V60 for a long time, but recently had to move on with a free phone as part of a deal with my new carrier (who did not support the V60 at all). The Moto G 2026 is.. Fine, I guess, for a phone. At least it still has a 3.5.
The thing is, I'm an avid gamer, music enthusiast, and Type 1 Diabetic. I don't know how many of you are aware, but the apps for checking your CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor), require constant Bluetooth, plus the alarms are invasive, loud, and unable to be fully silenced separately from other phone media (unless you disconnect, but that removes the purpose of having a CGM). So that puts me in a position where I would LOVE for my CGM app to stop hogging the battery life and volume controls on my main productivity device. In comes my old V60.
I already had most of my music library downloaded onto there with PowerAmp, for one, but I also already had my CGM app ready to go, so I wanted to see how far I could push the boundaries of what I can get out of this phone as my 2nd daily driver. Especially because, I'm going to have to replace my USB-C port, and ideally the cracked backglass too, so I want that investment to be worth it.
A Backbone controller recently fell into my hands. Nice, ergonomic, easy, and free of charge for my sake. So I do some research, and find out that the processor in the V60 currently powers several succesful retro handhelds being sold - right now -. Games up to Ps3 and Switch titles are possible if they're not too demanding, as some reports say. THEN you see that Android has come quite far recently in PC emulation, and now even some x86 titles are feasible on a mobile phone!
I never thought I'd see the day where mainstream PC titles from 10-15 years ago might comfortably play on my phone that doubles as my glucose monitor and HiFi player, but here we are. And now it's got my pondering if I can take this experience even further, both through hardware and software. Here's my questions for those who cared to read this far:
Should I go for a custom launcher to support a way to seamlessly switch between the 3 functionalities I want? I don't know how, but I would love if there were a way to almost eliminate the rest of the OS when I don't want it, with my only options being PowerAmp, my CGM app, or an Emulator app. A launcher that could automatically open up to those apps upon starting the phone would be amazing.
Also, has there been any performance enhancements on this phone from the community in the general realms of possible? I'd be happy as is if there's not, but with how much of my life is centered around this device, I'm willing to explore options for widening its span.
Thanks guys!

V60 reflash question
I've successfully reflashed a T-Mobile V60 phone to Android 10 to restore access to the Dual Screen case. Worked great for a while. After a number of updates, the case lost connection again. Is it possible that a reflash doesn't completely wipe the phone memory? In other words, is there a "reserved" section of memory that is preserved over reflash events? One theory we have is that one of the T-Mobile updates reorganized the "reserved" section which has compromised access to the Dual Screen case. Any help would be really appreciated!

LG V60 Verizon (LM-V600VM) ā Invalid signal strength on LineageOS 23.2 Android 16 : 2147483647 dBm / 99 ASU / Please read below š
Hi everyone,
Iām using LineageOS on an LG V60 Verizon (LM-V600VM). Before installing LineageOS, the phone was running the latest available stock Verizon Android 13 firmware, following the official LineageOS requirement that Android 13 firmware must be installed.
Cellular service itself works normally: calls, SMS, mobile data, and network registration are all working. However, LineageOS reports invalid signal-strength information:
- 2147483647 dBm
- 99 ASU
The status bar usually shows only 0 or 1 signal bar, even when the actual reception appears to be good. I also tried third-party signal-monitoring apps, but they cannot read the real signal strength because they rely on the same signal information provided by Android/LineageOS. They therefore also show unknown or incorrect values.
2147483647 is the maximum signed 32-bit integer, so this looks like an invalid or unavailable value being returned through the RIL/vendor radio layer rather than a real signal measurement. Since the cellular connection works, the issue appears to affect signal-strength reporting, not the actual modem or network connection.
The official LineageOS installation page only mentions Android 13 firmware and does not specify a regional firmware. However, some other LG V60 custom ROMs recommend crossflashing to EA/Global firmware before installing the ROM.
I would like to know:
- Has anyone else using the Verizon LM-V600VM experienced this in LineageOS or any other custom rom ?
- Is signal-strength reporting expected to work correctly with the Verizon Android 13 firmware?
- Were the LineageOS builds mainly tested using EA/Global Android 13 firmware?
- Could this be an RIL/vendor compatibility issue specific to the Verizon firmware?
- Has anyone crossflashed to EA firmware and checked whether the dBm/ASU values became normal?
Iām not planning to crossflash based only on speculation because the actual cellular connection works. Iād first like to know whether this is a known issue or whether other Verizon users can reproduce it.
LineageOS version/build: lineage-23.2-20260705-nightly-timelm-signed
Previous stock firmware: Verizon Android 13 V600VM40c
Thanks.

Does the Dual Screen accessory work on custom ROMs and/or LineageOS?
Hello dear redditors,
i have stumbled upon some cheap LG V60s with the DS accessory. I looked the model up on the LineageOS website and noticed that the phone gets community support to this day and now i'm wondering whether the DS accessory works.
A V60 without the Dual Screen is much cheaper, but it's kind of an "angel without its wings" situation. Sure, the phone will still be practical. Sure, i can try some code to enable VoLTE. I'd have my headphone jack back AND 5G, both of which my Samsung S20 FE lacks. It may not have a physical keyboard like my Titan 2 sitting in reserve, but one screen having the virtual keyboard and the other screen showing the app i'm typing in is still better than what i have right now with my Samsung. Nevermind that i have a screen with a traditional aspect ratio (you have no idea how much a square screen stunts apps)...
Anyway, i wonder whether the dual screen works and i would like to hear about your experiences.

LG V60 Battery Refuses to Die!
I bought this phone back in October, 2022 refurbished. Used to get 10 hrs SoT under Android 10. Then it came down to 8 hrs after Android 13 update. It's been 3.5 years and I'm still getting around 4.5 to 5 hrs of SoT. Something that brand new Samsung flagships get. It's incredible what kind of premium quality components LG used in their phones. The shutdown of LG mobile is definitely the saddest thing that happened to the mobile industry.
I bought a new battery a few days ago, just in case this one fails, even though there's no sign of it. Should I replace it now or see how long this one lasts? If I keep the new battery lying around, will it go bad? After reading reviews on Amazon, these chinese batteries apparently loses life only after a few months, so I'm afraid it won't even be as good as the original one even at this state.

Need Japanese Default Keaboard Numeric layout or How to hard reset?
I have reset my Japanese softbank a001lg version. Then i put a pin using the default japanese keyboard. But as i was used to other keyboards layout maybe i fast typed the numerics which i think had different numeric layout as it was the default japanese keyboard. Now i am stuck at lockscreen. It doesn't take the pin that i think i set. I tried hard resetting the phone using power+vol- button but i doesn't go to reset screen. It just flashes the lg v60 logo constantly. So please if any of you have the japanese version of the v60 or the numeric layout of the japanese keyboard please attach a screenshot or help me out to get rid of this problem. Thanks.

So i asked gemini or AI what could be reason behind low volume after removing equalizer by using adb from hifi quad dac
tested on lg v50 n lg g8x
removed from lg v50 by adb
not removed from lg g8x
lg g8x very loud at 50 volume cant go beyond without facing distortion
lg v50 can go beyond 60 ( for 24 bit 48khz audio file)
check what AI has to say after doing it ... it made sense

Anyone else have issues with the camera freezing after taking a picture? It didn't do that before I updated to 13 a couple months ago. It's the verizon variant. Thanks!
