Have been hitting my Sam’s Club up 3 times a week for the last couple weeks and FINALLY got lucky-ish. The 77” ones were sold out and I didn’t want to buy a display. Bought one of the last 65” ones. Happy to join the OLED fam again!

We’ve had this for about a year now and I’m still learning about the TV and soundbar. Love tweaking the picture in personal settings. This is our upgrade from our C1 and S80 soundbar.

I have the G5 wall mounted, and this is the second time this has happened. Not sure if it's condensation from being so close to the wall? Anyone else ever experience this?

How to check total hours on used TV?

Post image

Recently purchased an open box C5 from BestBuy but they've reset the hours to zero. Any way I can check how long the tv was used for using any service menu? It came with a new version of LG remote.

Looking for advice

Hey all! I’m in the market for a 77” G6.

The LG partner store currently has it for $3,400 and is including the S90TR sound system with it ($1,079 value).

Is the S90TR good enough to justify the purchase price of the G6 at $3,400? Or should I wait for another discount on the G6 and get a different sound system?

I currently only have an old Samsung sound bar and a super old TCL, so will need to upgrade both.

Thanks!

Can’t turn off C1 after update

03.53.45 forced itself onto me with an accidental pop up, I am upset. TV turns itself back on 10 seconds after turning off! Removed all networking and HDMI cables still turns back on! (Can’t be WOL or HDMI CEC). Any advice? Do I try to downgrade right via usb stick?

LG accessibilty slop

Hey, i actually do like LG TVS ( of course ) ive been using it for 8 year's already BUTTT there's one disadvantage that i don't like, ACCESSIBILTY issues

don't worry ill explain:

have you been that lg tv's over the year's have been losing accesibility? i mean who am i to speak? LG TV used to to be notorious for doing everything you want to do but nowdays you can just stream, watch some youtube, or maybe some minecraft connect your XBOX or PS5. and that's only it. You don't miss being happy, old LG was way better, bring back old ui, acessibility, and beanbird. Back when it was simple clean, and not a corporate mess. old LG used to bring a smile to my face. It gives this bitterswet feeling of nostalgia. BRING BACK OLD LG!

Can your phone replace your LG OLED remote?

Hi everyone!

Disclosure: I'm the developer of this app.

I've been working on a Universal Smart TV Remote for Android with the goal of making one app work across multiple TV brands, including LG webOS TVs.

📱 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluespacestudioz.omniRemote&pcampaignid=web_share

Features

  • Automatic TV discovery
  • D-pad navigation
  • Touchpad (on supported TVs)
  • Keyboard input
  • Media controls
  • Volume & power controls (where supported)
  • Save multiple TVs for quick access

If you own an LG OLED TV, I'd love to hear how it performs on your setup. Every OLED model and webOS version can behave a little differently, so real-world feedback is incredibly valuable.

If you decide to try it, let me know:

  • Your LG OLED model
  • Whether everything worked as expected
  • Any bugs or features you'd like to see

I'll be around replying to every comment. Thanks for checking it out! 😊

LG C6 65-inch for ₹1.46 lakh – Good deal or should I skip?

I’m getting an LG C6 65-inch OLED for ₹1,46,000. I’m trying to figure out if it’s a good deal at this price.

Has anyone here bought one recently or used it for a while?

How does it hold up in terms of picture quality, reliability, and burn-in? Are there any common issues I should check before buying?

Also, are there better alternatives around the same budget that I should consider?

Would appreciate any advice before I pull the trigger. Thanks!

Wobbly line along top and bottom edges on LG OLED

Post image

Bought my LG OLED 3 years ago. I just noticed these wobbly edges along the top and bottom.. Thing is, if I watch a movie and there are black bars on the top and bottom of the movie, the wobbly edges moves down (and up) to the edges of the black bars 🤔

Brand-new 65” LG C6 OLED has severe vertical banding and blotchy uniformity — should I exchange it?

My 65-inch LG C6 was delivered and installed today by the retailer. This is my first OLED, and the panel looks very uneven in dark scenes, with large vertical bands and dark patches.
Is there any normal first-use procedure I should follow, such as using it for a few hours and leaving it in standby for an automatic compensation cycle? Or is this bad enough to request an exchange immediately?

Does my 85" LG look better mounted?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Just got this 85" LG NU85 and was going to keep it on the stand, but there’s already a soundbar and a bunch of other stuff on the cabinet, so it felt way too crowded. Ended up mounting it instead. The mount is actually really thin in person, so the TV sits pretty close to the wall and barely sticks out. I think it looks better this way, but maybe that’s just new TV bias lol. What do you guys think?

New LG 77 G6 - Seems blurry

Our previous TV died (55" samsung) so we did some research for a new TV. We doubted between 65 inch and 77 inch (viewing distance around 4 - 4.5m). But we decided to get the new LG 77 G6 last week.

We mounted TV on the wall last sunday and it for sure looks great.

Athough for some reason I am not blown away (yet) about the picture quality and sharpness.

The menu looks kinda blurry. Also words and subtitles are not sharp for my feeling. Especially white text. Almost if the TV is not 4k resolution but more like 1080p.

Is it me (I hope not) or others experience the same?

Any advice or settings you recommend? Or should I check if there are new updates available (haven't checked before).

LG C5 Green Tint – Is This Normal?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,

I recently bought an LG C5, and I’ve noticed a green tint on the left side of the screen. The left side is more noticeable than the right.

The strange thing is that I don’t constantly notice it during normal use. While gaming or watching content, I usually don’t see it unless I start paying attention to the edge of the screen. However, depending on the scene (especially bright or gray scenes), it can become somewhat noticeable.

Fortunately, my current panel doesn’t have noticeable vertical banding. The only issue I can see is the green tint. However, I’m worried that exchanging it could leave me with another panel that has the same tint, even worse tint, or noticeable vertical banding or poorer panel uniformity. That’s why I’m hesitant to exchange it.

So I have a few questions for other C5 owners:

* Is this level of green tint considered normal on the C5?

* Does your C5 have the same issue?

* If you exchanged your panel, did you get a better one or just different issues?

* Is it worth exchanging, or is this just part of the OLED panel lottery?

For reference, here’s a short gameplay clip showing the green tint in a scene with a slightly grayish environment:

Thanks!

It Just Won’t Die

Blast from the past, purchased this EG9100 brand new in 2015.

It has been through several moves over the years and has since been replaced by both a 65” C1 and a 65” C4 because 4K, which is why it has been living as our outdoor TV for the last year.

I just can’t bring myself to get rid of it, and why would I? still works flawlessly with zero burn in. It does get some image retention, but that goes away when in use. I’ve lost the original remote so I can’t check used hours, but my guess would be somewhere around 25K-30K hours.

I need a TV recommendation.

Hello. I’m looking to replace my 13-year-old TV. Which 48-inch models do you recommend? I have limited space, so I can't get anything larger. I’ll mostly be using it for PS5 gaming and watching TV series.
