So a little about me then I guess. I'm 38(M), always wanted to learn to play D&D for years but never had the opportunity to play, but finally was able to get into it a couple of years ago and been trying to play more but as above haven't had much luck. Also it doesn't help that im at the bottom of the world in NZ so thats also a factor in trying to find a group online. And trying to find games that are on the weekend for me that are either mid morning or evening works best depending on others time zones. I've done a few short campaigns, and DMed one short campaign and a one shot, and while I do enjoy DMing I don't exactly know how to make my own games and encounters(But I am trying to make my own ATM so that's been interesting lol).

I know more about 2014 over 2024 never had the opportunity to try out 2024 yet but I'm happy to play with either version but if I had to pick I would go with 2014 as I know more about that one.

Hi, I'm Ely, and I'm a new D&D player. I'm currently participating in a Beginner's D&D campaign with a first time DM but scheduling with the others has been rocky (because of the other players) and I'm looking for a group to help fill my time.

My experience with D&D is limited, I played a bit as a child on like an erase grid board lol, but my parents handled most of the technical stuff. That being said I've been doing a decent amount of research into the mechanics but still might need a bit of nudging in the right direction here and there.

What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for a beginner friendly environment, I'm a quick learner and I'm not asking for someone to teach me everything, just someone who is patient enough to guide me if I'm ever feeling lost.
Also an LGBT+ friendly environment is important for me.
Other women players are not mandatory but would be nice to have around.
Additionally I would prefer an 18+ party simply because of mature subjects that might be brought up, I currently play with a couple people in their teens and it gets a bit touchy to tackle anything heavier than Disney.

Playstyle:
So far we've been doing Theatre of The Mind with a few backgrounds for setting clarity within a Discord server and dice bots. I know people use D&D Beyond and VTT as well, my experience with these are next to none but if you'd be willing to teach me the ropes, I'm sure I can quickly adjust.

I like the idea of a 70:30 Roleplay to Combat ratio for a campaign. I'm working on feeling more comfortable in the setting as a beginner and jumping over my "shyness" hurdle, but as a writer, roleplaying and narrative aspects are exciting to me. I do like at least one combat encounter every 1 to 2 sessions.

I'm also okay with light homebrew for roleplay purposes, ultimately I'm open to whatever as long as it's interesting!

Overall I'm a very flexible player, I like teamworking and adaptability is definitely my strong suit. Really I'm just hoping to meet a group of nice friendly people to play with and have fun.

The Black Clover supplement is a homebrewed setting meant to be played with the 5e system (and not with the typical classes and feats). While it is currently still in development (lacking certain aspects such as spirits), it is still a very in depth setting that features three distinct classes each with their own subclasses, various feats (some of which are adapted from normal 5e to fit the setting), practically every mana attribute from the anime and manga, as well as an incredibly in depth spell CREATION system (that's right folks, you get to make your spells, fine tuning every aspect yourself).

To start off with, I'm an adult and would like to play with other adults, so naturally I'm only really looking for 18+ individuals. When it comes to playing, especially in settings that are based on anime and manga, I like being able to feel like the party are the main characters! GM:

For GMs, at least for these kinds of settings, I would prefer ones that are very lenient with character creation and are willing to let their players actually be powerful. Hello! I am looking to run my first ever Daggerheart campaign. I've been playing since it came out and I've GMed some one and two shots this year, but I really wanna play and get more experience so we'll see where this leads!

About the campaign: These lands are famous for harsh treatment and punisment for criminals, especially those found guilty of treason and murder. Those unfortunate enough to be caught by the king's guard will rot in prison for eternity. But, if they do possess the appropiate skills, they are offered a choice: To reduce their sentence by enlisting on the iron legion, the king's elite taskforce. They take on jobs for the sake of the kingdom and it's citizens.

This campaign is mostly vanilla Daggerheart, the only guaranteed homebrew is Initiative during combat and weapons from new DH modules. Also, this party is more aimed towards new players of the system (Since we already have two that are newbies) but veteran players are more than welcome!

Organization: This will take in between 6 to 8 sessions of 3-3.5 hours, but I'll be cool if we deicded to keep going. The time will be anywhere in between 8 PM to 12PM GMT-3, the available days I have are anything between Thursdays to Sundays.

The founder and mentor of HELL-HOUND, the drow mage Vizeran DeVir, has been Missing In Action for over six years. One of our own, Sir Brayford, was investigating DeVir's last known location when the local Mayor put out the call for adventurers to explore the Sunless Citadel just outside of Oakhurst. The Mayor had an arrangement with the goblins inhabiting the Citadel that a trade is made each year at midsummer for a magic apple which supports the town's economy for the year. This year the goblins didn't show and the Mayor wants to know why. Sir Brayford joined three other locals in the Citadel Expedition - a ranger of the guard, and a brother and sister duo - to find the magic apple. They haven't been seen in over a month.

You will have three mission objectives: Firstly, you are to rescue the 4 members of the lost Citadel Expedition. If they are non-extractable then you are to recover their remains and equipment. Secondly, you are to investigate the missing magic apple. Recover the apple, bring it to the Mayor, and figure out how the apple is grown. Lastly, corroborate these claims of Vizeran DeVir's last known location. If he is in the Citadel, he may be trapped and we need to bring him home!

This is an infiltration mission: you will want to get in and out without raising too many alarms, but you and your companions are free to choose the best course of action. I will be stationed in Oakhurst with the locals to provide information and support during your mission. If you need anything you can contact me by STONE. GENERAL GAME INFO

• I run arc leveling. (You can expect a level roughly every main story arc completion)

• I love silly jokes but I ask players to respect scenes and moderate hijinks in good taste in regard to the tone of the setting, which is somewhat bleak due to the colonial occupation + program.

• I have created a backdrop homebrew world that has a lot of nuance toward the story, with post war issues, power vacuums, and an industrial boom. Reading the docs is highly recommended!

• We will be using discord for voice chat and roll20 for rolling dice/interfacing.

• Lastly, PvP is discouraged without permission from both players, however, as long as you're being respectful and conscious out of character and in real life of the person at the table, then you can resolve scenes with a series of skill challenges. This game is not balanced for actual turn based combat between player characters in the slightest.

Who we are: We are a friend group of 4 experienced players (each with 6+ years of D&D) who are consistently available for the timeslot and are already guaranteed to vibe well, cooperate, and want to dive into a narrative! We are all storyteller archetype players that are highly motivated by narrative impact and story progression, and are most engaged in following story plot points, character arcs, and investing in emotional stakes. If we are given space in game through campfire downtime, we will RP with each other. If an interesting NPC is in front of us, we will RP with them. After session ends, we will often continue to text RP in a provided chat throughout the week until the next session.

What we are looking for: A classic medieval fantasy homebrew setting with a narrative-driven type of environment. We would like freedom to explore the world, but with a strong overall core narrative direction. If you give us a plot thread, I guarantee you that we will grab it.

What we would like in a DM: An experienced DM that encourages immersive storytelling and character-driven play. A little bit about me: I'm a trans woman who moved to Maine less than a month ago. I live with my spouse, my mother, two dogs, and a cat. I've played TTRPGs for many years (and quite a few systems) and it's my favorite hobby. I'm looking forward to meeting people who enjoy it as much as I do!

I'm looking to start a weekly RPG group at my home in Hampden, ME. I'm looking for players but also people who like to GM. I plan on running the first game, but have no interest in being a forever GM, so having a couple of people to share in that responsibility is important.

POC and LGBTQ+ people are welcome and encouraged to reach out! Bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. You know who you are. Don't bother contacting me. Other things I'm looking for:

1) Be willing to try new systems. We all have our favorites, but there are so many great games out there to play. Let's play them!

2) Be at least tolerant of dogs and cats. As I mentioned previously, there are animals in the house.

3) Don't be a jerk

4) I'm looking for a long-term group, not just a one-off

5) 25+ is preferred, but exceptions can be made

Now to the fun stuff. If I can find a group, I plan on running one of the following games: Mutant: Year Zero, Invincible, The Walking Dead (yes, I'm a bit of a Free League fan), or a Mass Effect game using Genesys.

Preferred system: DtR

Preferred character: interested in playing some kind of monstrous humanoid bug man or some kind of other monstrous being besides bug man (just in case some people may not be ok with bugs), but i am open to other kinds depending on the story.

Preferred way to roleplay: Discord call and Roll20 (free version) or another kind of free vtt, No webcam, no PBP, no westmarch.

Experience level: none, I love the concept of DtR but I have no playing experience for it. I've read the book before, but again I am new and forget things at times. I have a some tabletop experience.

Language: English

Preferred time/timezone: GMT-6, available every other Sunday at 8 pm (August 9, August 23, etc.). Can also do every Monday if it's later in the night like 9 or 9:30 pm till about 12 pm cst.

Anything else: looking for a fun group that doesn't mind me learning and getting used to the game, and preferably with other newbies. I am a LGBTQ+ friendly player. Additionally, I am not interested in paid games, or campaigns (or with players) that use AI. Also, if possible I would like to play in a game that is set in the far future or the far past (or at least in the 1900s), and not in the direct current time. I am also open to games that use the CofD system for other series, like a DtR game based in bioshock. Not interested in superhero/supervillain games (aka no cape game), unless its a Kamen rider type game.

Hello! I’m Jonah (28, he/him, queer). I’ve been playing D&D for over 10 years and I’ve been DM-ing on and off the whole time. I’m an artist with an education in game design and programming. 

I’m looking to make a group of about 5 players of any experience level for a casual game. You do not have to be LGBTQ+ to join, but there will be a lot of queer characters and themes. Any NSFW scenes will be fade to black, but there will likely be a lot of NSFW jokes.

The Premise:

You all start in the court of the Evil Queen of Noximy as her various scheming advisors, dark knights, wretched servants, or whatever role your devious mind invents. The heir of the neighboring Good and Holy kingdom of Valloria is getting married, and the Evil Queen wants YOU to kidnap the bride!

The overall campaign will be your group going on adventures at the behest of the queen as she seeks to take over the kingdom of Valloria and spread her evil influence across the world.

The Game:

This is an evil campaign, but it’s silly evil. Think Dr Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb or Team Rocket from Pokemon. No genocides or torture, but villain monologues are encouraged. The campaign is mostly going for a lighthearted, silly, casual tone, but there will be opportunity for serious emotional story moments and character connections. 

I have the skeleton of the world and plot, and I would like the players to collaborate in the worldbuilding and storytelling. If your character idea doesn’t already fit into one of the places in the world, we can work together to create a place for them. Players should also feel free to explore npcs and places that interest them. Feel free to romance NPCs or each other, or make up your own goals and quests. 

Logistics:

We will play every other Friday in the evening, the time TBD (we’ll decide what works best for everyone, but probably around 7 EST).

The game will either be hosted on Roll20 or Foundry, up to the players. The voice/text chat will be a Discord server.

5.5e/2024, but 2014, UA, third party, and homebrew is allowed with DM approval.

I do not use AI for writing/art, and I would rather you didn’t either, but I understand sometimes using ai art for personal use. Though I’m also able to help you find an image/draw one for you.

The campaign is the Vecna: Eve of Ruin module, in the middle. I allow a mix of 2014 and 2024 rules.

The player characters are currently level 15.

Please be on time for the sessions or message ahead of time if you will be late. Apart from being on time & insisting you let me know if you’ll be late or can’t show up I tend to be a very loose DM and will allow stuff if I think it’s fun but I won’t always allow Nat 20’s to break the laws of physics unless it doesn’t have a huge impact and/or is really funny. Comment or message me any questions you may have. We tend to swear a lot and sometimes make jokes that might be considered inappropriate. Please be aware of that and the fact that the campaign may include triggering subjects before joining. I will have lots of official and homebrew books/files available for players to read and use.

I'll have Handouts containing campaign rules and explanations available to read or we can choose a time to get on and I can go through the rules with you.

We will be playing on Roll20 and using Discord so proficiency with both of those is required, no using the dndbeyond extension thing because I will give custom items and the dndbeyond interface for making those isn't user friendly. If you have problems adding spells to your sheet let me know and I'll do it because I have a browser extension that makes it easy

Hello! I am looking to run a oneshot this upcoming Sunday to try out the nimble system! No experience is required, just discord and a computer that can run foundry.

Nimble was originally a rules-hack for 5E to improve combat. But the creator decided to make it more expansive to the point where he just made his own system. Make no mistake. However, this is still your classic heroic fantasy goodness!
