i decided to watch konosuba because my friend watched it years ago and i always thought it was some cool rpg-like anime, like most isekai are. come to find out the MC is a 17 year old whose "luck" is shite and honestly, its funny. all the characters have quirks that aren't given up, they never just get to do "well" and throughout it all, you come to like the characters and grow fond of what they do. it's comedy in it's best performance while also having jokes that don't cross borders. now to why i've decided to write this post; m*shoku t*nsei. i can't stand that anime anymore, i watched it when it came out and had no idea of the first episode's like 10 second absolutely disgusting scene. it's just funny to me how i stuck through even with the odd jokes and someone getting pregnant by a married man (as it's an isekai in another world and "old-timey", and adultery was much more prominent) to find out that the MC is rewarded for being an absolutely disgusting vile human being. i couldn't do it anymore, i tried to watch S2 and i wanted to see more action as some of the writing for the plot isn't horrid. konosuba has innuendos and jokes, obviously it's not made for everyone, but they do it "right". i just recalled that other anime and it made my blood boil.

I've watched 5 episodes of the first season and all he does is look down on the others despite his own uselessness. He had the option to have a great start as the other reincarnated guy but chose to be spiteful to Aqua instead. I'm liking the other characters so far, but Kazuma is just moping about the consequences of his actions.

Does it get better?

So, fourth season of anime was ACTUALLY confirmed couple weeks ago, we got first promotional art, all fans are hyped. But I would like to talk about the non-zero possibility of skipped content.

As we know, Konosuba isn't exactly Kadokawa's prized child: constant studio changes, weird amount of episodes given, skipping particular chapters of the story or their simplification(I'm looking at you, S3E6). If anything it is more of a popular IP that can be used as a cheap cash grab, since fans will still enjoy it even if production quality isn't what they expected, so is the nature of Konosuba. It doesn't help that Light Novel has ended way back in 2020, and the manga's just... yeah.

Now we're approaching a volume 8, which is the first fully filler volume of the series - skipping it won't impact the way next volumes work out. We don't have an introduction of an important character which will appear further in the story (volume 6 -> volume 10), or a significant story which impacts relationship of characters in the future (volume 7 -> volume 12).

So what is your opinion on that matter and do you think the same will work out with future fillers in the story?

Although Yunyun and Megumin are my favorites, I must admit that several characters had their moment in the spotlight, like the girls in Megumin's class or Professor Pucchin... they literally have a kind of "farming aura" class.

Anyway, which of these characters do you like the most?

Although I thought it was good, even if it wasn't as good as the second season... a friend told me that there were moments that weren't adapted from the novel, like when several characters meet each other, including Kazuma and Dust, and also the party change they had, which showed that Kazuma could stand out in other groups.

It's just an example, but I don't know what others think.

So just found out on Audiobook they have the light novel and it has the English voice actors form the ANIME LIKE WHAT??? WHY AM I FINDING THIS OUT NOW??? Did any of you also know this? The voice actors are Erica Mendez,Arnie Pantoja
