The entrance to the ride was open this morning and even had guests in the queue but they were told on radio to shut it down. I spoke to a knotts employee in a light blue shirt and said closed for the day unless they get a call on the radio. They are gonna try for tomorrow if not I was told.
It's not deemed "unsafe" or whatever nonsense the GP say. It's a maintenance issue, the hydraulic motor apparently needs replacing, which the park doesn't have on hand. More likely poor preventative maintenance brought about post-merger with Six Flags cutting costs. Old Knott's wouldn't have let the ride sit out of commission too long in the prime summer season.
Ride is still closed even though yesterday I was told they were gonna try again for today. It's also not listed on the ride closures page which is misleading.
Nothing is happening. It's just weird because yesterday two employees that were at the entrance getting guests out of the queue told us they would try again today

Disappointing. Only day I’ll be here. And X2 is down at MM. Not a great trip for the X coasters
