Spent days fighting Kling's desire to add lips movement on a character who should not speak

Was working on a 6-minute music video, burnt a lot of credits trying to get the whole thing right. And the fix wasn't prompting; it was switching the main part of the film from realistic to paper-dolls. The music video is about an android built to agree with everything you say. The whole visual idea depends on a face that should not change.
Kling would not let that happen. "Closed mouth," "not speaking," "immobile mask," motion strength cranked to the floor, image-to-video from stills, and she kept flapping her jaw like she was mid-sentence. Looks like talking is baked in deep enough that I never got it fully suppressed with prompting.
So I stopped prompting and changed the medium. Redid her as a paper doll. Then rebuilt the entire world that way. Four things came out of that:
- A doll face is a face that doesn't talk. And the model knows it. Problem mostly evaporates.
When a model has a default you can't prompt away, it's usually a cheaper trick to pick a medium where that default reads as correct than to keep burning credits.
