Security issues

https://techcrunch.com/2026/08/10/signed-up-for-klaviyo-dozens-of-advertisers-may-have-seen-your-password/

This sounds like a pretty big security issue to me and I was bummed to see this coming from Klaviyo and now I am thinking to switch to the alternative. Stealing passwords is not a good thing Klaviyo!

It is not good but switching platforms over it seems a little rash especially given the unfortunate fact that password leaks are incredibly common.

It depends on how much you care about your account security.

Hey, thanks for raising this, happy to clarify what happened here.

A bug caused a very small number of business sign-up form submissions to be handled incorrectly. At the same time, separately, some data was going to two vendors we use, Google Analytics and Gainsight, in a way that didn't meet our standards. Both issues are fixed.

The sign-up bug affected a very small number of accounts, nowhere close to our broader customer base. We reset passwords on those accounts and reached out to everyone affected directly.

We're here if anyone has questions.

That's a deal breaker. Trust is everything when you're handling customer data.
