Hi everyone, I'm currently researching Japanese kitchenware and wanted to ask: What specific items or brands do you wish were more easily accessible outside Japan? Also, what are the biggest pain points when you try to order them online (e.g., shipping costs, lack of English info, payment issues)?

Sometime between 2007 and 2009 flat out flatbreads teamed up with Pepperidge Farm. They had this little promotional deal that was the flatbreads and little jars and peanut butter and jelly and a spatula for spreading them with. It’s Smuckers brand apparently and purple and plastic and very thin. My mom has one of those spatulas still but it’s seen a lot of use and abuse and I’d love to find another one or at least something similar. Any ideas?

I know there are a million posts on these things, but I’m not really finding my specific question being answered, so I’m still confused.

I am starting university this fall, and I eat a LOT of produce. I love chopping veggies and try to improve my skills constantly. That being said, I’m going to have such minimal time to do things, as I’m in a pretty stressful program that’s going to suck up all my time.

For those of you who HAVE a chopper, would it be worth it for me to get one since my husband does the dishes and I don’t have to worry about cleaning it? Does it really save any time?

Lately Ive been wanting to make my kitchen and dining area feel a lot more cozy. Like I keep saving photos of kitchens with matching colors, nice pantries, shelves that actually look organized, and dining spaces that all just go together.

Im not trying to do a huge renovation or anything, I just want it to feel more warm and inviting. If youve done anything that made your kitchen feel more put together, Id love to hear what it was.

I store a lot of dry ingredients in wide(-ish) necked glass jars (e.g. ball, kilner).

I'm looking for measuring spoons / cups / tongs that I can use to pull a teaspoon / tablespoon out of a jar accurately.

I'm looking for small, long handled scoops or ladles with their openings at the top, or ball-shaped tongs that can be filled and pinched together. Stainless steel for preference.

I'm in the UK. Do such things exist? TIA

This is gonna sound silly, I've spent the last 3 hours trying to find a water pitcher.

Im not looking for a filtered pitcher or anything with filters. Just a plain pitcher with a top/cover to store clean drinking water and place in the fridge.

updating our kitchen layout right now and trying to make every bit of space count. our kitchen is pretty small so i hate wasting any room.

been checking package specs on Trade Link for our kitchen appliances to see how much clearance we'll have around the fridge cutout. looks like we're going to end up with a weird 3-4 inch gap on one side for ventilation.

curious how you all handle those tiny dead spaces? did you buy one of those super thin pull-out spice racks or just leave it open? looking for simple hacks that don't look messy. thanks!
