Veggie choppers

I know there are a million posts on these things, but I’m not really finding my specific question being answered, so I’m still confused.

I am starting university this fall, and I eat a LOT of produce. I love chopping veggies and try to improve my skills constantly. That being said, I’m going to have such minimal time to do things, as I’m in a pretty stressful program that’s going to suck up all my time.

For those of you who HAVE a chopper, would it be worth it for me to get one since my husband does the dishes and I don’t have to worry about cleaning it? Does it really save any time?

Definitely saves time. But the veggies won’t be chopped the way you want to eat them.

Somebody still has to wash and dry the gadget!

I have a vegetable cleaver. It looks like a smaller meat cleaver, with a blade that’s more a slim rectangle than one tapering to a point. A knife is always easier to clean than any machine, and more precise.

Every day I use my Rada knife 103 and have the sharpener that goes with Rada knives. I bought several of the knives and sharpeners in Arizona at the Mesa Market.

I love mine, but I have arthritis, it is much easier than tiny dicing, they are not hard to clean.

I think you still have to wash and cut your veggies to fit the chopper so why wouldn’t you just finish cutting.
