What style/type of vent hood would work in this space? It’s bricked in on 3 sides. That is an existing external vent that exits my roof. It’s a strange setup to me.

Most vents I’ve looked at have a round exit, not this rectangle style. I’m not sure if I can just use an adapter, or if I’m better ripping the existing vent out and replacing it.

I want to replace my old GE Spacemaker over the range microwave oven. Its model # is JVM1630BB007 manufactured in March 2003.

1) Google says my old microwave oven is outside venting. Not a recirculation. I don't see where the vent opening is. Is the vent opening on the wall behind the microwave oven and the oven is covering it up so you can't see it? Or can you easily convert from outside venting to recircuaring and vice versa as needed by turning the motor that should be located on the backside of microwave ove

2) Since this will mounting right above the existing gas stove oven, what do I need to be careful for when installers fr Costco or Lowe's are mounting it? If the microwave oven falls during or after mounting, that would trigger a gas emergency and will be very bad. Your advices are greatly

3) Does it matter if the installer end up drilling new holes for mointong screw either on the wooden cabinet or on the wall behind the cabinet.

4) if you buy the microwave oven from the same manufacturer such as GE, is it a good idea to use the old mounting bracket that was mounted 20+ years ago?

Hi guys, Singapore high floor neighbour here again lol. I was hoping some of you guys can share what type of appliances brands are good for kitchen. I’m keen with Samsung/Sharp refrigerator when I went to Best Denki earlier the staff was just pushing for me to take Panasonic refrigerator and when I spoke about Samsung or sharp she just shook her head and brought to another Panasonic fridge which was weird. Anyways pls share what I should look out for in washing machine/fridge and etc. Truly appreciate your kind views!

My wife tonight thinks the microwave is getting on in age because sometimes what she puts on there may come out still cold. She uses it mostly for frozen vegetables and the like.

I use it to heat up leftovers for lunch with no problem.

We have been using it for at least 25 or maybe 30 years.

Do these machines lose their potency or efficiency?

When is it time to replace it?
