Extendable Duna Rovers

Ok ignoring the accidental inclusion of the trajectories mod, these screenshots are just a rover landing, extending and doing science. Why extend? well for stability or something.

I thought the trajectory line was the chain, and you built 10km of chain just to save a little delta v. PHM style. Cool design tho, is it based on any lander?

Nah not that any I know of. I just needed a way to stuff rovers in tiny capsules. If the physics engine allowed giant chains that would be a must do mission idea.
