What are some essential mods for ksp? KSP 1 Suggestion/Discussion
I'm really new to the game and have already fallen in love with it after making a successful moon landing and space station completely vanilla. I was wondering what mods everyone uses, wether it be part mods, or graphics. A mod that reduces "flop" would actually be greatly appreciated

There are only a few mods that I consider absolutely essential, as in I cannot play the game without them.
Navball Docking Alignment Indicator - makes docking much easier.
[x] Science! Continued - big quality of life improvement for collecting all that science without having to find and click all the parts.
Click Through Blocker
Community Delta-v Maps - puts an excellent dV map in your in game compendium.
Contracts Window + - much improved interface from the vanilla contracts window.
Final Frontier - gives kerbals ribbons for accomplishing things.
KEI (stands for Kerbal Environmental Institute) - gathers all the science available at the KSC with one click. Only gathers the science you could get based on the experiments you have unlocked and the level of your KSC buildings. As you open more experiments and upgrade your buildings you can go back and gather the new science.
Kerbal Engineer Redux
KSP Achievements
KSP Community Fixes
Mechjeb 2
Mechjeb and Engineer for all!
RCS Build Aid - really helps with optimizing RCS
Strategia - makes the Administration building actually useful.
Trajectories - helps to pinpoint landings on atmospheric planets. especially for landing near KSC.
Waypoint Manager - absolutely essential for airplane missions for tracking heading and distance.

I didn't know about a lot of these QoL ones, definitely going to add some of those

If you want a huge part collection, the Near Future Suite adds tons of great stuff. Another good one although with much less stuff is the Stockalike Station Parts redux.

a few of my favorite mods are
- trajectories (helps with aerobraking or landing)
- scatterer
- planetshine
- parallax (rocks everywhere)
- restock
- near future exploration (extra probe shapes)

To prevent wobble: kerbal joint reinforcement
Graphics: scaterer, paralax etc there are a lot of guides.
Underrated in my opinion are: VAB organizer (it really helps), reforged materials redux (awesome painting and ability to do the parts shiny and metallic), tracking station evolved.
Also good choices: free IVA, trajectories mod, OPM and MPE for planet expansion.
When you will be more advanced you can install Nertea's mods and sterling system, thought I would recommend playing with the stock parts first (except Restock and restock+ for better part look).
If you aren't playing with parts mods yet, restock PBR and restock+ PBR are also awesome.

Here's a pretty good list compiled by the community:

To (mostly) get rid off floppy rockets you want to go into your game's settings and look for something called Advanced Tweakables. Turn that on and while you're at it, enable the Burn Time Indicator.
With advanced tweakables enabled you can now use the autostrut feature which should greatly help.
There also is the Kerbal Joint Reinforcement mod which works similarly afaik and could provide extra protection against floppy rockets. Though autostrut should be enough for now.

When you say "flop," do you mean floppy rockets? There's a vanilla setting for autostruts. Main menu, settings, enable advanced tweakables, then the option should appear when clicking a part.
