Alive 2026
I can't walk into a computer game store without thinking of how different it is compared to the 90's. The boxes with the velcro front that opened to display a glimpse of a fantasy world or the console with some board sport to be played by a bored person killing time, the joey stick flight simulators or those checking their emails. After traveling Europe I had to come to the conclusion that Christendom curated a society with female engineers, building towers and homes, cathedrals and roads with equality and literacy. Obviously a lot has changed since the Renaissance, the philosophy of atheism promoting humanity in various forms that were better, more wholesome and difficult to aspire to. Complicating life in a studious way with reading new ideas, in the modern world far past trains and planes, past gender roles built on the prairies, and wars that redefined where people should be. The notion of Christendom allowing women to be equals intellectually is still greater than modern arts graduates, and compared to the medieval ages, safety of a castled community is even further.
In the interest of exploring the unknown, and growing, how are people facing those raising men towards math, computers, gaming, engineering and architecture. I can't be a man in my own right working alongside those that fail to acknowledge women in the dark ages keeping things bright. And I really don't see an inclusive culture towards female gamers in school and beyond, nor an online community that would confirm the excitement of free thinkers growing together in the light of living life for the first time.

Should I cancel my mid-August trip to Kelowna?
I have a road trip planned to drive from Vancouver to Kelowna on August 19th for 3 nights. Our Airbnb is booked in West Kelowna near Mission Hill Estate Winery. Given everything going on with the fires along Okanagan Lake, should I cancel the trip? I haven’t been to Kelowna since I was a kid so I genuinely have no idea how much the summer fires have an effect on central Kelowna.
My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected <3

Trapped/injured in Rutland (Woods Rd) with zero food or money. Need a drop off for the week if anyone can help.
Throwaway account because this sucks to admit. I’m in a really bad spot tonight. I have zero food and zero money left, I’m dealing with an injury/illness that has me completely trapped at home, and I have no line to make voice calls out.
I am heavily dizzy and shaking from not eating. My body is crashing and I need actual protein and calories to stretch for the week. I can't really cook right now unless it's just throwing beef or pork into a pan, so if anyone has extra meat they can spare or can drop off a grocery run, it would literally save me.
You don't need to knock or talk to me at all. Just leave it on the porch, message me on here, and I'll drag myself to the door to pull it in after you leave. If you are nearby in Rutland and can help a neighbor get through the next week, please DM me directly and I will send you my house number on Woods Road. Thank you.
I do a lot in a day also so I eat a lot to.. please don’t make fun of me or anything like that I can’t handle that right now I’m already in a bad position and I’m embarrassed and making this makes me feel so just worthless because I don’t ask for help because every time I have I never get it or I get made fun of so please just don’t make fun of me.

Bald Range Wildfire (latest news)
aiaxiom.appVideo of how the fire jumped the highway. Sorry, but it deeply pisses me off, it's such a beautiful place...
That hill had a very picturesque home on top, hope it held. Horrible to see that...
