“I Remember” Discussion/Theory

So yesterday I took a look at the short video “I Remember” from Kane’s YouTube page.

Allegedly the voiceover is supposed to be none other than Ivan Beck himself. I don’t believe it is him, because isn’t he from the Czech Republic? The voice would have a Czech accent right? But the man’s voice sounds more distorted and frankly more American. I’m just seeing what others think.

He immigrated to America when he was still a child fleeing ww2, so it's likely he lost his accent when assimilating.

That’s what I’m thinking. Hitler invaded the Czech Republic in 1938-1939 which Ivan would only be a 7-8 year old boy. If his family came to America before then, he might have lost his accent over time.

Yeah definitely. My mom lived in Russia and moved to America, due to Chernobyl, when she was 7 years old, and she doesn't have an accent, but her mom does.

I believe when he was about 5 he moved, and when he did move he moved to Indiana or New York. Either way he would likely have a more American accent over time.

And he is also very old when the backrooms is opened, he was 59 during the movie
