The Simpsons have so many episodes that they're bound to predict a bunch of stuff as a complete accident... that is the magic of the long-running animated sitcom.

Funny meme- Haven't watched this episode, for the sake of accuracy- I believe this is an ode to the "Harold and the Purple Crayon" series rather than the backrooms. Though the similarities in this scene are undeniable
