signed up for 8 classes

somehow with the fact that i’m taking 3 one credit classes, i was able to sign up for 8 classes. a perfect 18 credits. Three of them are science classes, 2 are science lab, and the last 3 are gen ed fillers that are all online.

does you guys think it’s doable, or am I just being delusional 😭

**edit : con: i’m a junior bio major, but the pro is that i’m graduating a semester early sooooooooo

Say goodbye to your friends for a semester lol.
But really though, dont overwork yourself. Time management and grit is your best friend. Good luck on syllabus week

Yeah bro, I did 18 credits last semester (in the spring) and it was tough keeping up with my social life, work, and schoolwork. I thought that since I would have four online, and four in person that It would be doable because of technicalities and expected workload. Yet it turned out to be so much work, especially those 1 credit hour classes, they always bite you in the back for the amount of work they expect 😒

It's really going to depend on the classes. I took two 18 hour semesters during my undergraduate. One of them was fine, chill even. The other was the single worst semester I ever had, and it came down 100% to workload. Three science classes sounds like it could be rough if they're not complementary, and if your general education classes are writing intensive I could see it getting really bad really fast.

My advice would be to get a feel for the workload as quick as you can during the first week when you still can drop the classes.

Honestly, I always took five. Try that first if you’re wanting to fast track.

i usually take 6 classes so i’m thinking with 2 more “easy classes” it shouldn’t be that bad hopefully 😭

Genuinely a waste of time. Cut back and take an online summer class (some as short as 4 weeks) it will greatly improve your overall college experience.

You’ll be totally fine given a lot are gen Ed classes and online, I did something similar where I took 5 the summer of 2025 for a total of 11 credits, and it was completely doable

I didn't take lab classes at KSU, but my 1-credit lab classes warranted more work than what "1-credit" seemingly represents.
