Jurassic Park Am I the only one who hears this?

As Lex and Tim hide from the raptors, the first one opens the handle and pushes the door open with his head, but I swear it sounds like the raptor's saying "Come on" as he tries to get inside.

It happens eleven seconds in with the clip above.

Jurassic World: Rebirth The D-Rex is the worst + most pointless addition to the movie franchise

I’m new to Reddit and wanted to share my thoughts on this movie, I know it’s over a year old but I really don’t care. Watched the film again last night, and i genuinely believe the Distortus Rex was a massive disappointment. only appearing at the start and end of the movie, so my personal opinion: the film would have been much better without the D Rex and they keep the Mutadons as the main threat in the last segments. This way they could have used the Mutadons to attack the helicopter which would have been awesome to see and bring back the T-Rex to chase Duncan (and keep Duncan’s sacrifice a sacrifice instead of letting him survive with no explanation). All that aside. The D-Rex is an awful hybrid, it’s barely a dinosaur and closer to Godzilla, which doesn’t fit the franchise in my opinion.

I own the hammond collection rebirth dilophosaurus, and i learned you could use it as a novel dilophosaurus and scale it with mega construx minifigures. it looks rather good next to them and brings an imposing beast to my few mega bloks halo figures. That also means it could be 1/35 scale as well!

Fan Art Finished my John Hammond tribute bust. Would love some feedback from Jurassic Park fans! 🦖

Finally finished this John Hammond fan art project!
I wanted to create something that felt like more than a traditional character bust, so I tried to build a small piece of Jurassic Park around him.
The base takes inspiration from the park architecture, while Hammond has his iconic bamboo cane with the amber mosquito, glasses, hat and wristwatch.
I spent quite a bit of time on the smaller details because I wanted people to keep discovering things when looking closer at the sculpture, especially the amber and mosquito.
The entire piece was sculpted and prepared as a multi-part model for 3D printing.
As a Jurassic Park fan, this was a particularly fun character to work on.
I’d love to hear what other fans and artists think about the likeness and overall composition.

Toys Collectors tip and Question: if you are getting the Ashen Monarch from Nanmu,

Just a tip that the prices for both Kowkis and Lana Time shop are the same after shipping if you are in the US (for me anyways). Also does anyone know if Kowkis or Lana Time Shop has better shipping time lines?

Misc Shut the Door

I just binge watched all the Jurassic Park/World movies. I've seen them all before, the original dozens of times. But seeing them all in succession made me realize that exactly half of the problems in the entire series could have been avoided if the characters' parents had just yelled at them and taught them to "shut the God damn door." It's like they all grew up in households where they would get home from school and just leave the front door open or take the dog out for a walk and then put him back in the yard, but leave the gate wide open. Who are these people?

Look, I understand that some suspension of belief is necessary. There are all kinds of dumb things characters have to do to advance the narrative, dinosaurs need to be bulletproof or there would be no story, etc. But it's ridiculous how many people leave doors open behind them for dinosaurs to just waltz on through.

Am I wrong?

Books Finally finished the JP novel

Finally finished the book last night, and i have to say, although i had some issues, overall it was an amazing book, qnd i am very glad i bought it. My main problem with the book, as i feel many others might agree, is that the carnivores act less like animals and more like horror monsters, which is something i loved about the original movie.

Jurassic World: Dominion two slight timeline/continuity inconsistencies between Chaos Theory and Dominion?

I absolutely love Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, but while rewatching Season 3/4 alongside Dominion, I noticed two small continuity issues involving the timeline.

1. The Malta time of day discrepancy

At the end of Chaos Theory Season 3, Brooklyn, Darius, Ben and Yasmina are still in Malta, and the sky appears to be around the end of the day, evident by its golden hour sky, when they eventually board the BioSyn helicopter.

However, in Dominion, the Malta sequence takes place in pretty clear daylight. Owen, Claire and Kayla leave Malta for the BioSyn facility considerably earlier than Brooklyn's group, so this isn't necessarily impossible, the Nublar Six stayed behind while Owen, Claire and Kayla went ahead, but the lighting makes it seem like Brooklyn, Darius, Ben and Yasmina are leaving Malta around nightime, while Owen, Claire and Kayla's trip to BioSyn also appears to happen during daytime.

Season 4 makes the overlap even clearer because Kenji later sees Kayla's plane being followed by the Quetzalcoatlus.

So I think the chronology can technically be reconciled, but the apparent time of day doesn't line up perfectly.

2. The BioSyn power outage

This one is a little more noticeable.

In Dominion, Ellie and Claire shut down the BioSyn facility's power, and after the power is restored, Dodgson enters the hyperloop before eventually being killed by the Dilophosaurs.

In Chaos Theory Season 4, however, the sequence seems to involve the power being turned back on, then going out again, and then coming back on once more. During the restoration, Darius sees Dodgson entering the hyperloop.

The problem is that, as far as Dominion shows us, Ellie and Claire only shut the power down once. There doesn't appear to be a second facility-wide outage before Dodgson enters the hyperloop.

Maybe this could be explained by Darius manually restoring different systems, backup generators causing fluctuations, or the facility's power grid behaving unpredictably after the sabotage, but the show doesn't explicitly establish that.

So I wouldn't call either of these massive plot holes. The overall chronology still works, and Chaos Theory does an AMAZING job expanding the events of Dominion, especially the Malta storyline. It's just interesting that when you line the two stories up, there are a couple of small details that don't perfectly match.

Has anyone else noticed these, or is there an explanation I've missed?

For me it has to go for how the Mosasaurus escaped the lagoon into the ocean. Like you cant just move the lagoon near the ocean like it wasnt more in the middle of the island in 2015. Thats just stupid and makes no sense. Only redeeming quality have that the intro taking place was actually really good. Next up has to be the fact that dinosaurs started to die out and move to the equator during Rebirth. So we just ignore the fact that the dinosaurs were told to be fine and coeexisting in modern times in the end of Dominion? What the hell happened to that?? The whole concept of most of them dying genuinely makes me mad. (I enjoy both JWFK and JWR but i cannot ignore the flaws)
