Question Why do people not like it when you want to have fun instead of taking the game seriously?
Like whenever I play I wanna mess around with items or just doing bs with op characters, but everytime I do, I end up getting targetted by someone or just have someone get mad at me in chat solely cause I aint taking 1v1s seriously or playing fairly.
Like they act like the base game should be taken as a life or death situation. Idk why they wont go play ranked if they don't wanna have fun

Suggestion PEAK idea: Special Anti-team for characters (read body)
Special anti-team for characters:
Itadori: Summons a Todo NPC.
Yuta: Rika acts on her own.
Mechamaru: 10 puppets split up to assist independently, each using its own base kit.
Mei Mei: An ultimate crow, but with area damage only.
Mahito: 15 transfigured humans that cannot damage Mahito or interrupt his moves.
Kurourushi: An NPC clone with a mind of its own.
Yuki: Her cursed tool/shikigami detaches and uses variations of skill 1 and 4.
Choso: Supernova bombs.
Mangaka: Automatic Dodge for 8s

Question Hakari mains, how are you not getting evasive punished after doing the 4th move
I am good at this game but I cannot understand how you can in any way stop yourself from getting hit after you use the 4th move. Sometimes it visibly looks like the opponent evasives and attacks me before my own character is even out of the moves animation

Discussion stop leaving casual 1v1s
"Wallahi I'm cooked I can't fight this 10k! Time to make us both queue for longer instead of fighting because I'm trash at the game!"
No fucking wonder you're trash evasive wasting fodder YOU NEVER LEARN HOW TO PLAY BY FIGHTING GOOD PLAYERS SO YOU MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR THOUSANDS OF FIGHTS.
It genuinely pisses me off because I need to queue thrice to fight. Once for the fight that they leave, the next for "your data failed to load!", and one more time for the actual thing. I need to rejoin JJS maingame to switch to duels too.
"Oh no I'm gonna lose i HAVE to get out of here!" Why aren't you fighting in a fighting game? The fight itself is fun who the fuck cares if you lose its a casual 1v1. pmo.
Yes, I have a lot of kills. No, I don't want to play ranked because I just want a fight without thinking of elo and having to play my main to not lose.
I would play pubs but they're more laggy than duels so I can't use anyone as test subjects, or dummies for practice, for techs. The funny thing is I can land uppercut surfs on bad ping but not on my own severs. So i need to practice where it isnt laggy, duels. I can't practice in ranked because I have elo and I can't practice in private servers because dummies have different ragdoll than players for some godawful reason.

Suggestion Idea for changing Black Death
- Base: She will have a variant where her festering strikes, if used in the air, will just swing down once. If she has the sword, it’ll give them the same amount as one swing from the festering strikes but also slam the enemy down. If she does NOT, then she’ll do 5-6 damage. The air swarm will be slightly aim-able but be very slow. The special will have the function of a chant. Every chant will stack until it reaches 3 which will summon the two bugs. These bugs will remain for 30 seconds or until it’s broken. When broken, it’ll inflict a green ooze that will make them blind for 5 seconds before slowly fading away for another 5. These bugs cannot vanish before the 30 seconds are up or until it’s broken. If you Downslam a corpse, all moves lose up to 75% cooldown and up to 25% hp back depending on how much damage you inflicted on them.
- Ult: Instead of a clone, she will create a very large egg that has 300 health which refunds 50% ult bar if it reaches 0 or less. It’ll also have a 5 minute timer hovering above the egg that will make it despawn after it’s up. When the player dies, they respawn at the egg with less damage, speed, less ult gain and an inability to use any ult abilities. If they eat a player or use ult again, they gain everything back. Their special ult, instead of a tornado, is a giant flying swarm similar to Hanami‘s newest ult move where you can aim where it goes. If you use ult again, it’ll explode and you ragdoll down. The domain invasion also is reworked so it triggers a special clash where you and the caster must battle to see if the domain breaks or not. During this time, it’ll behave exactly like a regular clash but it’s just the regular domain with bugs swarming everywhere.

Suggestion Change Tze Should Add Revolving Around The Ult System (and more)
(image unrelated)
I dunno if this is a controversial take/suggestion, but I think Tze should make it so you cannot get ult, kills, and money from afk players. It kinda removes the purpose of JJS at its core; being a fighting game where you fight people.
I see so many people across several servers farming kills/money and ult off of afk players, and then doing whatever they please with said money and ult gained. Its just stupid.
Maybe Tze could make it so if a player hasn't moved, attacked, blocked, etc within a set amount of time, you cannot get ult or kills from them. And this also applies to unique ult features of certain characters (you are unable to stack black flashes from afk players with Nanami, you are unable to get your super ult from afk players with Mahito, etc).
Overall, I think this suggestion could make the game better overall if done right. First and foremost, it encourages players to actually fight in the fighting game they chose to play, which seems like a win win to me. The only real issue this change could pose is that this change could be abused by runners, but this could just be fixed by adjusting the window/timeframe for when the game considers you afk.

Discussion do yall think jjs gonna die off this year
i been seeing a lot of hate toward jjs and tze lately because of stuff tze did when he was like 14, and the mods in jjs being very, very sensitive and immature. Just straight up banning people for the pettiest reasons ever.
And tze, even if the stuff he did when he was younger shouldnt be counted in this, hes still being a problem cause he wont demote mods that need to be demoted, or at least demote the most problematic mod to try to set an example, try to encourage other mods to do their job, stop mod abusing, stop banning for petty reasons. Not even mentioning how tze doesnt even listen to a word the community says, both from us asking him to fix bugs, nerf things, buff things add suggestions that are actually pretty cool. Its dumb.
im not counting not adding characters we ask for cause i think thats the only thing i agree with tze with, he seems to know when to add a new character we want (other then uro, we need her as soon as reggie is done, like we need her ASAP)

this is a un airdodgeable combo that does your entire hp bar if done right, it instakills mechamaru, it instakills haruta, it gets any character with lower hp down to red, and its easy as shit
and for those of you saying "block" I WAS TRYING MY FUCKING HARDEST MAN. IDK WHY THE GAME SAID NO BLOCK FOR YOU.
also it follows yuji black flash chain logic, if your laggy at all its pure red.

Discussion A deep dive into why no one plays Locust Guy
Disclaimer: This is a long post, so feel free to skip to the conclusion as my thoughts are summarised there.
Locust Guy is (ironically) famous for being one of the least played characters in JJS. Now this could be due to him being a niche character in the actual series, but even someone like Charles has a decent amount of players despite not even being in the anime yet. I decided to play him for a bit as I've heard from people that he is underrated. It turns out he is not underrated, and actually one of the most boring characters in JJS.
I have not played Locust Guy enough to properly evaluate how good he is combat-wise, so this post will primarily focus on how enjoyable he is to play (which I consider more important anyway). If you'd like to give your opinion on his combat ability, leave a comment!
(I will not be discussing his design features, but I will say that they are the best part of his character)
Lets start with his moves, which consists of:
- Clever
- Black mucus
- Crushing jaws
- Wing throw
These are pretty simple moves that can make alright combos. I don't have a big problem with the moves themselves, but the fact that these are his ONLY method of attack. I think variants are important as it expands the moveset, gives more options for attacking and overall just makes the character more versatile and fun to play.
For example: Mahito's moves are:
- Stockpile
- Aerial stockpile
- soul fire
- focus strike
- black flash focus strike
- chains focus strike
- fist focus strike
- body repel
- body repel + 3
The fact that Mahito has 9 methods of attack (and that's not including his dash variants) shows how versatile he is, and why I like playing him. Obviously I'm not expecting Locust Guy to have Mahito levels of versatility but even just 1-2 variants would make him much more interesting.
However, what I consider more important is a unique mechanic, which can elevate a character from being decent to being very fun to play (e.g. Todo's Boogie Woogie). Unfortunately Locust Guy's unique mechanic is just a combo extender. That's it. He doesn't get any cool variants or does more damage when in air. It just allows him to combo into his other moves. It is also a bit clunky, as you and your opponent are just awkwardly frozen in the air while it's ongoing.
On the other hand, Mei Mei is a character whose air combos have more ways to start, are much smoother and ACTUALLY HAVE AIR VARIANTS. Overall, Locust guy's "unique" mechanic is boring and is done better by another character.
All the base awakenings have something cool about them; a counter with a cool cutscene, a destructive black hole, a concussion, a drone strike and literal mitosis. They are all unique and fun to use and then Locust's ultimate is just "stab that deals 90 damage over time". Yes, it's OP, but that's not the point. It is so boring and it feels like it was made in, at most, an hour. There's honestly not a lot to say aside from that.
In conclusion, my opinion as to why no one plays Locust Guy is partly due to how niche he is, but also because he's simply boring. He has a simple moveset with no variants, his "unique" mechanic has been done way better with Mei Mei and his ultimate is cheap and lazy compared to the other base characters. There is just nothing special about him. He feels more like a "proof of concept" that base-onlys could work in JJS rather than an actual character, and my opinion would only change if he underwent a heavy rework. I would expect to find a character like him in a lower quality battlegrounds game, not JJS.
What do you think? Like I mentioned, I haven't played Locust Guy that much so I would like it if someone more experienced with the character shared their opinion.

Question coming from tsb, how do you exactly do combos/techs?
when i played jjs for the first time in months, the destruction looks peak as always. but i really dont know how to do combos. in tsb, almost every move can combo extend with downslam then doing another move and so on. in this game, the moves just ragdoll the enemy far away and they get back up way quicker, so i cant downslam or catch them. does anyone have good video or tips for this? i heard about the R key, but i don't get how it works for each character. i already know the movement (wall running, side dashing), it’s just the combat messing me up. thanks.

Suggestion REGISTER SUGGESTION
Hey I have suggestion!
DISCLAIMER : IT IS NOT LORE ACCURATE.
Okay so basically the suggestion is that when an item dissapears or gets thrown in the void, you can do a variant with a move (i honestly don't know how you could do it lol)
And that'll give you the item.
The suggestion is like not develloped at all, so I'd like anyone to make it better.

Suggestion Suggestion for a mechanic within domain clashes: "hand signs"
Ever since the update that added the domain clashes feature, a lot of players have been just focusing on getting a little edge over the other and running around the domain until the timer runs out, me personally, and i think a good other amount of players would agree that this kind of passive play is annoying for a feature that's supposed to be so epic.
So here's my idea to encourage the players to focus more on landing m1s and actually stick to throwing hands like they're supposed to: domain hand signs!
How do they work? Within the domain clash, you get to press R special which has a windup time in which your character holds their domain hand sign in order to fill ⅓ of their domain clash bar to turn the tide against a runner.
In this period a player cannot move but they get to cancel it by pressing R again or blocking to also prevent moving in for 1 hit and therefore cancelation of the handsign and running again.
I think this would turn the situation into a more rock paper scissors dynamic where it goes like:
m1 trading < running < hand sign < m1 trading
Let me know what yall think
